As Hurricane Irma approached I needed to get my Mom somewhere in-land and safe. The folks at Residence Inn Tampa / Sabal Park were wonderful to her. From Colleen in the sales dept. when I set up the reservation to Cynthia at the evening desk! They were all great even when the Hurricane knocked out the power for a bit... (The maintenance crew gave them flashlights and the cleaning crew carried their luggage!) I am sure they were also concerned about their own families as the storm approached Tampa, but they still remained focused on their guests keeping them happy and safe! If another hurricane displaces my Mom, (I hope not!) this will be the first place that I call!
This is our second time staying at this hotel and all I can say is I can't say anything negative about the hotel or the staff. Very clean, great location, and management was awsome. I was not aware when I book that they were pet friendly (My Fault) and I am highly allergic to dogs and cats. The management (Robert Newton & Autumn Wegman) was very gracious to call in a cleaning service and make sure the room was cleaned. Took down all the curtins, steamed the carpet and even cleaned the couch. How many managers would do that. We left while they were cleaning the room and when we got back the room was like it was the first time anyone stayed there. We went back a second time and they prepared the same room for us. I can't enough about the way were treated. Thank you Mr. Newton and Ms. Wegman for your kindness. (JUST MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THAT THE HOTEL IS PET FRIENDLY) Robert & Barbara Sapp
We had a wedding in Dover and needed to find a hotel nearby. Most of the wedding party was staying at a Hampton Inn close to our hotel but we are Marriott people and wanted to pay with points. This is still an older Residence Inn. The property is not very updated. The rooms however were more updated so really I guess that is what I care more about than the lobby. They had breakfast at the hotel per usual which was alright. Overall it was just close to where we needed to be and had nice rooms. I wouldn't choose this location again because it is in the middle of nowhere but our wedding was in the middle of nowhere so it worked out. Uber also comes to the hotel which was necessary for us!
We stayed here to meet up with family and what a great choice! This hotel was amazingly clean and very quiet in the evenings. The furnishings were contemporary and up to date. Staff could not have been more helpful and the breakfast was delicious! This was a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles and much more. Every staff member we encountered was very helpful and friendly. All in all the hotel felt hospitable, with all the comforts of home and then some. There was a nice pool area with a grill or fire pit (didn't look too closely). Kids were having a blast out there. Nice to see. I had a wonderful visit with my family. I highly recommend! *TIP* To get there just follow your GPS even if it seems odd getting there. You will get right to it. Also Brandon Town Square is right nearby and has EVERYTHING. For a kitschy dinner try the Taco Bus. If you love Mexican food you won't regret it. You can even order online.
This was one of the few places we could find that had a 2 room suite. Good location that was easy access to I75. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. The price was higher that I expected but we were satisfied overall.
We stayed at this hotel as part of our trip to see Jimmy Buffett in concert. The hotel was very nice and close to the even. The service was great. The free margarita party before the concert was a really nice touch. We'll definitely stay hear again.
Greeted by a busy manager it was a good sign this would be a good stay. The room was clean, fresh and modern. I had two interactions with housekeeping (coffee packet refill and extra towel). They were pleasant and guest friendly. There were quite a few guests with dogs, but only once in 2 nights did I hear any barking. The guests on this visit were very diverse (truckers, work crew, families and business travelers).
Rooms are great and hotel is very well taken care of. They have an excellant social hour on mon tues and wed. They have two women named Deborah and Cynthia that work during that time serving food and drinks, these are two of the nicest and attentive hotel employees Ive ever met. Stay here during the week so you can really enjoy yourself.
This Residence inn isn't situated to be close to anything and actually it is located in a sort of industrial park off MLK hwy and, therefore, you definitely need a car. Having said that, it compensates that drawback with very nice and friendly staff and good accommodations including big rooms with nicely layout and kitchenette, BBQ grill by the pool constantly flaming for guests use anytime, quiet location, and adequate breakfast.
Checked in fairly late one evening and was greeted warmly. Our 1 bedroom suite was wonderful with separate bedroom and living area, which suits our family perfectly. Woke up early and went downstairs for coffee and a paper to relax and was greeted as warmly that morning as the night before. Location was good and far enough off the road to be very quiet too. We will definitely stay with them again when back in the Tampa area.
