Huge building with long corridors was made for Moscow olympics 1980?. It's on rhe beach and only few miles from Tallinn city centre. Very good price-quality relationship. Itäs cheap alternative as hitel probably is some 2-3 stars. However restaurant and spa are not so bad, casino, lobby and kiosk ok as well free parking. Rooms clean and partly renovated And if you have Tallink ferry-packet the price is nearly nothing.
The main point of the hotel is good location - on the coast of Baltic sea. Externaly sovietic monster. Interior is renovated and rooms are refurbished too. Basic buffet breakfast on the 5th floor with a panoramic sea view. Staff at the reception was rude and nervous.
If only you can, choose another hotel! I spent here a couple of nights with my family in a family room. The room was in a very long A-corridor towards the street besides. Not any good views from the balcony. The room was very worn. Adults bed were okay, but children suffered on their tiny narrow maddrasses. Showerroom was in a disgusting shape. The hotel is colossal concrete sovietstyle building. Everything was old and worn. The windows were dirty even in panoramarestaurant. Customerservice was ok and you get a 45-minutes massage for about 35€.
The hotel itself is a heavy concrete construction from the moscow Olympics. Due to the history it is an interesting building. Many parts of the hotel have been renovated, for example the Lobby and top floor restaurant are really nice. Also some of the rooms are recently renovated and equipped with flat screen tv's and coffee makers. That in combination with an awesome sea is nice. Unfortunately our larger family size room was on the bottom floor towards the street and not renovated in decades. The room also had ventilation issues and the air quality in the room was really bad. The hotel restaurant on the top floor serves great food and you can enjoy it watching the sunset and the ocean. Also the restaurant staff was really friendly and attentive. The breakfast was included and had good selection of everything. The "Spa" consists of a swimming pool with six lanes and a couple saunas. Also the Spa facilities have not been renovated very lately. Can't really recommend for anything else but swimming laps. The location is quite some travel from downtime, but Tallinn has a great public transportation system and also the taxis are really cheap and trustworthy. Overall the hotel is decent value for money, especially if you get a recently renovated room with a sea view. Otherwise I would expect a heavily discounted price.
The most disappointing stay in Tallinn. Hotel is declared as spa, however it has only 30-year-old swimming pool and couple of outdated saunas. Condition of the facilities is very poor. Rooms were recently renovated and are ok to stay for a 3*, bathrobes are even provided free of charge. Another good thing is free parking what you can't get in city centre. Breakfast was disastrous, crowd of people, hard to find clean table and have to wait for the food to be refilled. Choice was ok but presentation and amount of food poor. Dinner was even worse! Buffet was empty when we arrived half an hour after the opening of the restaurant. And you literally have to chase waitress when she brings food from the kitchen, otherwise it's gone in seconds and again you must wait for 10-15 minutes. Choice was minimal! However, the worst thing is that hotel is packed by teenage sportsmen who behave like coming from the jungle: knocking at your door and climbing over balconies. Had to leave after one night of this hell as management did nothing to improve the situation. Pity as the price was really high and for the same amount we moved to a 4* hotel in the city centre with much better service and product.
Clean cozy room with coffee machine, wonderful area for children, delicious breakfasts, awesome sea view, enticing pool, delectable saunas, crystal clear air, warm atmosphere. What more could you wish for family holiday!
The hotel is situated in an interesting and historical area. It lies next to the mouth of river Pirita. There are small houses, forests and a beach. Close is a convenient good value shopping centre. The hotel itself is colossal with quaint soviet style architecture. The services are anyway modern and functional.
The architecturally award winning hotel/spa was the athletes' accommodations during the 1980 Summer Olympics when Estonia hosted the sailing competition. Built to resemble a catamaran, the hotel faces the Baltic Sea and is about 10 minutes by public bus outside of Tallin. You can watch the sun set and ferries cross to/from Finland from its 5th floor restaurant. Because it was built to accommodate Olympic athletes, it has an Olympic sized swimming pool, saunas and is set in the middle of walking trails and next to the marina where the competition was held. It also has a full medical spa, beauty and wellness center offering a full range of services that can be booked on the second floor. I had a lovely massage, facial and manicure/pedicure. The staff in the spa, front desk and restaurant were very professional and helpful and my room facing the sea was perfectly fine (quiet, clean, comfortable). If you want an Estonian resort spa experience in an interesting, historic building at an extraordinarily reasonable price, I highly recommend Pirita Spa Hotel.
We stayed there for 2 nights and everything was alirght. Renovated room with good bathroom and balcony. Pool and saunas was awesome, there can stay as long as you want. Breakfast was excelent, very large offer, breakfast for different tastes, by the way really good view from the restaurant window. One minus - bad sound insulation.
It is the beautiful place! The view of the bay from the windows of the restaurant is stunning! It is convenient to get to Tallinn by bus. Everything is at an excellent level: service, breakfast, spa area, large parking. Comfortable beds, slept perfectly! Thank you!
