Good option if you're on a budget

It was a good experience overal. I really liked the location, close to Ninxia night market and lots of transportation options available. Rooms were well designed and didn't feel too small. I found our room very clean. Check in and check out were a breeze. My only problem was that the room was a bit cold and they couldn't do anything about is as the receptionist said thay don't have a heater on their air-conditioning system. Felt strange, maybe it was just a case of lost in translation. It didn't bother us much as we were staying only for 2 nights. Considering the price it is a solid choice for a few days in Taipei.

In an older building- some steps to an elevator to get to the reception that is on the 6th floor and transfer to another elevator for the room. Good and responsive front desk staff. The room is bigger in size, renovated and modern in contrast to the outside facade and hall. Good water pressure in shower and sink. Overall clean. Daily slippers change. Quite a walk to the MRT station (Zhongshan) and maybe challenging for an elderly person. Ningxia night market (mostly street food) is around the corner.

Nothing to complain. Affordable and very clean room. 15mins walk with luggage, just across 7-11, family mart and starbucks. 5mins walk from nangxia night market (which is my preferred market compared to shilin). Not wheelchair/stroller friendly

Nice clean hotel with good location

The hotel condition is acceptable. The location is not very good - takes about 10mins to walk to the MRT nearby. The worst thing is about the noise - you can hear the noise from the corridor. Overall, it's a good choice given the cheap price.

Room space is sufficient (from the floor plan, it might be some larger room on the floor). Bed is comfortable while the blankets are a bit too thick. New and clean, just that the shower head could be more sturdy (doesn't fall anyway). Enough sockets which are at two opposite corners of room. Refreshments in the room are fine and refilled daily. Only a bit of windows (which we didn't bother). Access to convenience stores across the street. Metro station is further away but the walking distance was acceptable. Mind there are (about 15) steps from street to the lift entrance, will need some short luggage lifting. The staircase that connects the floor may be a little dark. Also it was a bit inconvenient that there was only one key card. Given the price is quite a bargain, I think there are no deal breaker at all, and is happy to recommend or visit again when needed.

Great Price, Small room received.

I wanted to bring my girlfriend to Taiwan for the first time, but I unfortunately didn't have a great experience with New Stay Inn 2. First of all, I don't think they were changing the sheets. I went in and there were was pubes I noticed under the blanket. The next day, the sheet wasn't changed, same hairs were there, they just re-made the bed. The room was incredibly cramping for having a king size bed, you cannot walk around and there was barely any room for suitcases. I think you need to be lucky with your room draw as I was in #803 and it was too small for my girlfriend and I and 2 suitcases. 3rd, mosquitoes came in, and that's when I realized we needed to take our hand towels and tuck them in under the main door to prevent them from coming in. I would book elsewhere closer to one of the main stations. A plus, their bathroom was nice, but the room had this old dated checkered orange paper.

Location, location, location

For a my first time in Taiwan, I wanted to find a place that was sort of central to the things I wanted to do and this certainly is a good place. My self in particular I spent my time probably 10% in my room, but when I came back from exploring the area, it was very comfortable, clean, and the staff was very happy to help in any way, even with a language barrier. It's within walking distance to the nearest MRT (metro rail) to get you around Taipei and stores and restaurants are all around. The inn is tucked away on a corner near an alley, but can be easily seen. It's on the sixth floor of an apartment with the Inn occupying I think four floors. There's someone always at the desk to answer questions, the room was modern in decor, clean, but smaller than Western hotel rooms. The bathroom featured a rain shower head with really good water pressure and you're stocked with all the toiletries you need. Soaps, shower cap, dental floss, and even a comb if you forgot one. Overall, I really liked my stay here!

Hotel easy to find, very well located: close to 7eleven, night market and taipei main station. Hotel elevator is a bit tricky, closes a bit fast. Hotel description listed laundry service available, however there were no washer/dryer. Excellent wifi connection. TV has lots of interesting channels. Staff's English limited, but is willing to help in the best way they can.
