Stayed here recently and it was generally an okay stay with nice room/view and bathroom. Service at front desk was good. However, it was quite disappointing when it came to room cleaning services. I returned in the night and found the bottled water were not refilled and with other hotels I have stayed in, if the shampoo bottle was more than half used, they would usually place an extra set of toiletries in the bathroom for me anyway. In this case, it wasn't. I'm also doubtful whether my bed sheet was changed because when I flipped up the comforter, strands of my hair could still be found on the bed sheet under the comforter. I was travelling solo and the hair was exactly on the side of the bed I was sleeping on. Too much of a coincidence. I called up the front desk to ask for bottled water and toiletries and they came to deliver them really quickly and was apologetic about it. Given the cost of the stay, I would think that their service standard would be much higher. I stayed at three star hotels in Taipei at a fraction of the cost and had a much more pleasant overall experience as compared to my recent stay here unfortunately.
4 days at the Grand Hyatt Taipei for business meetings and liked the hotel and the service immensely. Well equipped and comfortable rooms with well placed charging points and ports. Fast internet. Great F&B and staff who were always efficient and friendly. Location of the property was perfect.
Excellent hotel. Very clean. Updated. Close to Taipei 101. Bus Stop going to the airport is very conveniently located---it is right outside the property. Three apples welcome you to your room. This is typical of Hyatt properties which is what I like about Hyatt, On the otherhand, there is one negative for this hotel. Their breakfast buffet does not have enough selection. For example, they have white porridge which is great but that's all there is to the porridge. I have nothing to mix it with except the gound pork. I dont see any preserved vegetable or soy bean curd or anything suitable to enjoy with the porridge. There are very few selections of bread as well, and like the porridge, only a few ham or sausage to choose from to enjoy with the bread. Overall, the 900NT per person for the breakfast buffet is not worth the splurge. So I would stay at the hotel again but not do the breakfast buffet.
I organized a conference and stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 2 days and the experience was excellent. The staff was really helpful, the food was great and the location is perfect. I would sincerely recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Taipei.
Lucky to stay in luxury hotel locate at the heart of Taipei. Very good service n nicely deco facility. Walking distance to major mall n just beside the Taipei 101. Excellent city view with full 101 scenes especially at night.
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for three nights and really appreciated what a good location it has. The metro is within the block and very easy to use. It took us all over the city, to many of the popular sights. We also used the Hop on and Hop off bus which has a stop close by, and went to the National Palace museum. Being right next to Taipei 101 there were many food choices since they have a great food court. We did take the elevator to the top of that building early one morning for some amazing views of the city, and no crowds! We walked to Elephant Mountain for a great hike and beautiful views. The hotel staff is great. From the welcome as we arrived, to our housekeeper and the nice woman at the pool, they were all very friendly and kind. Seems like any upper floor room would have a good view. Our room was comfortable, clean with a large bathroom that had a big tub and separate shower. Breakfast buffet has a great variety. It is on the expensive side so we got coffee and bakery goods in the lobby bake shop one of the mornings. The outdoor pool was warm and fun to use. We would definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again.
Very professional and great execution in their business. Breakfast is comprehensive and staff is very polite and courteous. Gym is full and I had to come back without workout as it was full. The check in process was smooth and efficient. The lunch at the conference was multi cuisine and delicious.
My two kids and I stayed for 4 nights at the end of April. We shared one Deluxe King room with a sofa bed. The evening check in was quick and smooth and the front desk staff (Roger?) was very helpful when i asked where we could have a late dinner at the hotel or around the area. The following day he was on the Concierge desk and helped us plan our day. Room service was good and there was a decent price range for meals (NT$400 for pasta to over NT$1,200 for steak). Which was great when you were exhausted with cranky kids at day end. We didn't have the breakfast included (Cafe is buffet only for breakfast and dinner, i don't know about lunch), but getting something from across the road was easy. The hotel location is excellent, right next door to Taipei 101 with a basement food court so cheaper food is readily available. But if you want to book the high Starbucks, reservations only open the day before and they get snapped up very quickly. There are lots of taxis and the MRT and airport bus are right outside. The hotel itself was lovey, our room was freshly renovated and the size was generous for the three of us. A bit of luxury after a full day sightseeing was much appreciated. The swimming pool was on the small side, more of a dipping pool, but very pretty surroundings. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Very warm welcome. The whole team is so nice and helpful. 24h room service with fresh food even during the night. Laundry service perfect. Internet Connection is fast for multiple devices. Location in the city is ideal. Will come back. enjoyed the view from the 21st floor. Unfortunately it was raining all 4 days so I couldn't check out the pool.
Great location, impeccable service, tasteful decor, spacious room. The sofa bed is large and comfortable. Great view of 101. Very nice swimming pool. Huge selections for breakfast buffet, and it can be crowded since there are many business travelers.
