We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and this was our third time staying in this hotel. The hotel was so nice to prepare a slice of cake to celebrate his birthday. It was an enjoyable stay but something odd about this particular room was that it did not have a toilet door. Nevertheless it didn't bother us much.
I stayed in Villa Room 310 this past week. Was not honestly impressed especially with the price paid. First, if you are in a villa room, you are not part of the main hotel building. So, if you want breakfast, it's down one elevator, walk, up another. Just one hassle when this should be one of the best rooms in the place. Also, it's confusing for guests, as there's another elevator to use, down a narrow hallway, that has no good signage. Second, issues with the aircon went unhandled. A/C drips water, and the dehumidifier provided by the hotel filled up every 12 hours. Other than drips, it was a little moldy smelling. Also, visible mold as seen in the pictures shared. Third, didn't live up to their hype of "complimentary L’Occitane body & bath products". Hey, they sell the heck out of this on their own website that is what they provide. Instead, some off brand (picture shared), and when I inquired to the front desk - was told that's what they provide. Which is funny because L'Occitane is a block away! Fourth, service. Housekeeping was a disaster. Didn't even show up the first day even though I left my "Make Room" button on. When asked, front desk said that housekeeping left for the day. I surmise this is due to the fact that being in the back building, out of sight - out of mind. Fifth, the room. Beyond aircon and lack of housekeeping, the shower is extremely small and hot water is not plentiful nor is the water pressure. While the bed was comfortable, the spaciousness of the villa room that others have reported really end up to be wasted space by a small table with a chair stuck in the middle. It's not well furnished, and not really good for hosting friends with lack of seating. I can't recommend this hotel, which is really sad because the location is great. Unless they clean up their act, they should not consider themselves to be the jewel of Ximending they boast to be.
This is a beautiful little boutique hotel situated in the University area. This means access to cheap & good food, zakka stores and clothing in the Shida Night Market. The hotel reception is nicely decorated and the amount of sunlight that comes through the space makes it conducive to just chill out and read (since it is called the library anyway). Room smells wonderful - love all the Ginger themed bath supplies. The bathtub is very clean and spacious and it is perfect to soak it in and just be by yourself after a crazy day in the city. Not super near metro station but walkable. Also walkable to the quaint Yongkang Street. Hotel staff wasn't the warmest but they are polite. Would definitely come back here the next time I am in Taipei!
Irish business man stayed in end july 2017. Very clean and modern hotel in a perfect location for the hustle and bustle of downtown Taipei. Excellent firm clean (new?) beds, really good (ok a bit tight but I am big) shower - UK and European plugs. Quiet. They have a nice understated breakfast, and the serving area transforms into a nice place to do some work in the evening. Staff were unstintingly terrific - shout out to Sasha and her colleagues at the front desk who were exceptionally helpful. It's not in the same area at the Taipei 101 - it is very close to the Red House and there are LOADS of bars and restaurants around here. I walked to Taipei 101 across the city from here, took about 2 hours, then got a taxi back. It's a nice way to soak it in. A taxi to the airport is around 45mins, 1000 NTD (new taiwan dollars) or ~ $33. Food and drink is noticeably cheaper vs. Europe. There are a couple of terrific restaurants nearby - a sushi place in particular that is AMAZING (at the opposite end of the street from TGI - underneath Mala Hot Pot - not sure of the name as it is in Madarin. There's also Starbucks nearby, loads of night markets, and a TGI Friday's literally across the street should you be stuck for a western meal (again - great place). Getting around the city is simple; taxis are plentiful and cheap compared to Europe. Would absolutely stay here again and look forward to doing so. Great spot.
Very good value of money! Close to my favourite area Wing Hong Street and just 1 min walk from the night market. Nice decor and newly renovated, the room comes with a bath tub, as well as WINDOW which is a surprise for hotel at this price range.
We live in Taipei but like to take the family downtown and stay at Inhouse. They location is in the heart of Ximending and there are great restaurants and market attractions. We had three rooms and all were set up with great stuff. Awesome decor and really friendly staff. We love both the Inhouse hotels in Ximending.
Inhouse Hotel Heritage is located at the heart of Ximending. (You won't get the noise from your room, which is great) Due to its strategic location, it offers great convenience definitely! Walking to the nearest Ximen Station takes less than 10 minutes. Hotel is clean, cosy & comfortable but like most Ximending hotels, you need to expect that it isn't that spacious. Service staffs are polite and welcoming, even the lady that cleans the room greets us with great enthusiasm. We booked the Standard Room 708 (1 Double Bed) via hotels.com at only SGD395.84 for 3 nights which is value for money. Will definitely stay with them again! :)
The hotel is at the heart of Ximen, 2-3 min walk to the Ximen MRT station. The hotel room is clean and spacious compared to other rooms we stay in Taiwan. The room decoration is also modern and comfortable, with nice toiletries. The service is good too. The front desk lady is friendly and helpful, even the cleaning person is friendly. Cannot expect more for that price and location. Only one thing to notice, our room has windows, but you don't really see much at all. Only the walls from the neighbor. But consider this is the heart of Ximen, we are not surprised at all.
Great experience. Stayed at 10th floor (the highest), and the room was located beside the elevator. It was fine as you can't really hear the elevator sound. Very pretty and cosy room. The toilet was relatively spacious. Comfy bed. As we booked directly from the hotel's website, we received complimentary Taiwan's beer. Complimentary breakfast for all guests. Great location. Located in the heart of Ximending. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Definitely my hotel choice if I were to visit Taipei again!
