Ultimate Apartments Bondi Beach

There was no way in when we arrived. Note on gate says check letterbox for envelope with your name. Nope nothing there. No bell or buzzer to get in. We were fortunate someone was coming back from shopping so we could get into the office. Position wise, only maybe 10 minute walk to Bondi Beach and plenty of eateries and supermarkets. "Apartment" would be a loose term. A dated room that had a lick of paint. Aircon that had seen its day 20 years ago and was too noisy to leave on. But it was a room for a night at a cheap price compared to everything else in the area.

We have stayed here a few times over the past 10 years. The place is in need of an upgrade as it is now a bit tired. Still good value with pool and free parking just a short walk to Bondi beach. Save some of your hard earned money for touristy things

I'm not a negative reviewer, but I will call a spade a spade. I'll give this property one star for location and one star because I've stayed in worse, once, although that was a long time ago. The website does not feature images of the apartments for a good reason. To say this place is "tired" could be the understatement of the decade. Paint peeling from the walls and ceilings, leaking faucets, faulty power points, lights that don't work, loose bathroom tiles and a toilet door you have to wrestle shut are key features. Outside you will find balustrading that won't meet building code, slip hazards on the stairs and ooooh, an abandoned car! When you add guests who think it's okay to fire up their beats at 4.15am, and disinterested management, you have the complete package. Whoa...wait, no sugar, tea, coffee, milk or even a water jug. Nearly forgot. And please don't bore me with the whole "it's Bondi" routine, that doesn't wash. At 3 nights for the price of 2 it would still be overpriced. Look elsewhere.

Stayed here 5th December until 8th December 2017. I was apprehensive about arriving at these apartments, after reading all the bad reviews but I was actually pleasantly surprised. If we returned to Bondi Beach, we would stay here again because of the cost and being central based. BAD POINTS Decor is a bit tired Pool is in the middle of the car park Socket not close to bed Had to stand on the bed to close the windows No tea/coffee GOOD POINTS . Fantastic location and so handy for everything. . Large room . Bus stop right outside . Quiet . Comfy bed . Extra pillows . Plenty of storage . Lots of lighting . Receptionists were friendly and very helpful

This is hotel that seems to barely tolerate guests rather than welcome them. The atmosphere is that of a second-rate school camp rather than a hotel in one of Australia's premier tourist locations. There were many instructional notices both inside and outside the room listing dos and donts. Some of the notices in the room were for appliances that did not exist. There were no teabags or coffee sachets provided. There was no shampoo or conditioner. The room was not clean and the furniture was rickety. Three of the six downlights did not work. The shower cubicle had black mould on it and the toilet suite was cracked and chipped. There was a VERY loud extractor fan in the bathroom which came on when you turned on the light and could not be turned off without turning off the light. The bed was uncomfortable, the bottom sheet was hard to tuck in because of the deslgn of the bed frame and the sheet slipped around in the night because of the plastic mattress protector. The female receptionist was pleasant and helpful when asked for another chair (there was only 1 in the room) and she quickly organised for the the downlights to be replaced on request.

We stayed here for five nights. The access to Bondi Beach and Sydney is good but the place needs definitely some work. The receptionist was nice. The air conditioning is a nightmare. The light in the bathroom did not work without a noisy fan to switch on. Must be from the 70s. Sorry neighbors if we woke you up when using the bathroom for a wee in the night....Moreover there were ants in the kitchenette. We reported it to reception but it did not help. No teas and coffee no cleaning of the room during our stay! Bin needed to be changed by yourself and towels you could change on request. They maximize location assets over value for money! Guess that’s how it works in Bondi.

Upon arriving i was spoken to rudely by the receptionist. Moving past that and telling her to pick up her act i headed to my room. On inspection i found the room to be tired and old and not cleaned recently at all. Food on the floor with ants, the ice box had tissues stuck to them no idea why but not usable. No coffee or tea... which is just unheard of. Cockroaches running up the walls at night and to top off the aircon sounded like a lawnmower and you either didnt sleep with it on or you didn't have aircon. The aircon was so loud that i couldnt hear the tv and had to turn it off. Convienent location but absolute dump. Ultimate apartments is misleading and is not even as nice as most backpackers. Will never stay again.

These are 4 star apartments. There is a swimming pool stuck right in the middle of the car park. There are all sorts of apartments here including 1,23 bedrooms. We had a single bed apartment . There is a fridge ,microwave, toaster ,single hot plate telly shower etc. Very comfortable. The sheets and towels are changed weekly . There is wifi for a small charge . Laundry facilities 4dollars a wash and the same for tumble dryer although when we were there it was windy and soon dried on the line . Not like a hotel but suited us after a busy time touring Australia .Nice to have a little rest

A roof over my head but not a great deal more. The room was modern but very basic. Not particularly clean. There was a pube on the shower wall! The cutlery was dirty in the draw and horrid stains on the bed sheets. The air on didn't work either.I stayed for 4 nights and the reception was never manned.

First impressions of this accomodation may tempt you to reach for the gear stick, select reverse and back out faster than you pulled in. Don't be so hasty.. I'm sure this place would've looked awesome in the early seventies but inside, the apartment we stayed in was quite clean, comfortable and had everything that was needed to ensure a happy stay. You will however need to overlook the overly grumpy permanents with the death states aimed at the sometimes happy and noisy kids and all the signs here saying, don't do this, don't do that etc and the awesome sun deck that disallows music, drinking and general happiness...Seriously!! Overall, this place is close to Bondi beach, has secure parking and for the price is good value! You don't go to Bondi to hang out at the apartment do you..
