My father and I stayed here while visiting Sydney. The hotel is in a perfect spot. Walking distance to Sydney Harbour, the Opera House, George Street and the Royal Botanic Gardens. The staff was wonderful, polite and very helpful. The suites are spacious. Ours had a washer and dryer! But the most amazing part of our stay was the view! We could see the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. The day view was great, but the night view was spectacular! If I come back to Sydney, I am staying here again!
We booked two suites for a family get together; one Harbour Bridge facing and the other a city view. The Harbour Bridge and Opera House view was stunning and worth the rental alone. The city view wasn’t as impressive but was more realistically priced. The apartments were clean and well serviced but a tad tired. Service at reception and from the concierge was excellent. Many thanks for an unforgettable stay.
Stay here every year, ideal location for Blackmores Sydney Running Festival to walk to start over Harbour Bridge and return from Circular Quay/Opera House area. Love our room every year and really appreciate our request for a particular room being met. Has everything you need.
The pool and views from the pool deck were absolutely stunning, the room was also quite lovely however I was a little disappointed overall. My booking confirmed I definitely had a smoking room but when we arrived we had to sign a form saying there was no smoking allowed. The location of the hotel is fantastic but overall it's a bit too pricey.
This is the second time I have stayed here. The first time was great.Love the location being at the Rocks. Absolutely beautiful view. Great service and clean room. Planned a spontaneous trip for my daughter and I over the school holidays so of course we went back again. From the second we got in, to the second we left,we could not fault anything. If anything they went beyond their duty. I lost an earring down the basin and within an hour maintenance was up and un doing the pipe to retrieve it. I had problems working the dishwasher.Again maintenance was up 15 minutes later to go through it with me. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will always stay there when I return. Thanks for a very comfortable stay Quay West.
At arrival the pool deck was highly recommended to us by the check in staff so we wasted little time to try it out. Within minutes in the pool, our daughter emerged from the water with a big cut on her knee. Trying to reach the phone to inform reception, I slipped on the wet and extremely slippery tiles (with the other child on my hip) and injured my elbow. It took a long time for any staff to arrive and at no time did we have the impression that the staff member sent to us was competent and comfortable in dealing with the situation. He had to go back to reception because he didn't have antiseptic wipes in his first aid kit. We ended up taking our daughter to a local gp clinic. We suspect that broken tiles in the pool are to blame for our daughter's injury. But despite our repeated requests to close the pool area, investigate the incident and fix the tiles in the pool nothing was done about it. We were not provided with an incident report despite asking for it on several occasions. We doubt there is one. Instead we felt that the staff regarded this incident as an inconvenience and nuisance. On our second morning we had to wait for more than an hour for our cooked breakfast in the crowded and not very nice breakfast room. The room was what we had expected (considering the price) and the views, especially from the pool deck are very good. But I can't see us stay at this hotel again as our experience of the service and attitude towards guest safety was absolutely shocking.
we recently stayed for four nights, the staff, the views, the position were amazing.will stay there again when in Sydney." TOP NOTCH " suites were clean, comfortable, and so close to all that you want to see & do while in sydney
Had a great time in Sydney and our apartment was excellent the view of Sydney harbour was to die for, service was brilliant all the staff were so friendly. My next trip to Sydney I will definitely stay here again
Two bedroom/two bathroom, clean and very spacious apartment. Outstanding views of the Harbour Bridge, opera house and beyond and the city. Circular Quay train station is a maximum 5minute walk. Uphill coming back. Valet parking easy. Reception (Grace) and concerierge (Josh) were very attentive, friendly and well mannered. Being in the 23rd floor is great if with children as on the pool level. Full breakfast was included with our stay. Don’t be surprised when you walk in and there isn’t the usual huge buffet breakfast with Bain Marie’s everywhere. There is a good selection of pastries, yoghurts, juice, breads and more as well as a large menu to choose your freahly cooked breakfast and kitchen staff are accommodating to change. Items such as poached eggs, omelette a, bacon, French toast, avocado, roasted tomatoes, corn fritters to name a few. I highly recommend these beautiful apartments. And to be honest, they do offer the best view of the Harbour. This was my 4th stay and I will return.
