After staying in several hotels, motels,in the surrounding areas landed this place.ticked all the boxes's.Stayed in the rear rooms and traffic was not a problem.just a little cold feeling walking in as it is tiled, a mat or rug would make it feel a bit better, but besides that all good. The staff are nice too.It was for business and all i needed.

If you're looking for a reasonably-priced hotel and are fine with basic accommodations, this is a fine pick. While the rooms are indeed on the small and outdated side, they still check the boxes you'd want: sizable beds, microwave, refrigerator, TV, Wi-Fi (if your room is close to the router, otherwise you can rely on your phone or mobile hotspot), silverware / cups / plates, hangers, hair dryer, etc. The free, secured and covered parking garage is also a nice addition as it's something nearly every other hotel in the region charges for or doesn't even offer. The hotel's also within a five-minute walk of two train stations in areas that don't feel sketchy to walk around, even at night.

I stayed at this place because I have relatives nearby. The room was clean, the facilities all worked and the reception staff were friendly. It is very close to the bus stop on Parramatta Road and Summer Hill station is just up the hill - so convenient to everything. And despite being on a main road, it was a very quiet location.

After some of the comments I was not expecting much, but what a shock, my room was bang up to date, spotlessly clean and a pleasure to stay in and a great price for Sydney. Clearly room 104 has been recently renovated, it is large with a double bed, there is a rain shower head as well as the usual spray in the bathroom and bags of hot water. There are one or two VERY minor niggles, only one chair in a room for two, nothing to put a suitcase on and the room hasnt been double glazed so there is a little bit of traffic noise, and whoever planned the layout may make an internet blunders list, there are downlighters over the bed for reading and someone has installed the air con unit under one. Great if you want to read on top of the unit but no use in bed.

My love for motel/motor inns was somewhat tainted by staying at Marco Polo. Knowing this property has been in the accomodation hospitality service for a very long time, I’m left scratching my head at the lack/or non response regarding what was found and photographed on the bed (check your email Marco Polo Motor Inn) We had been allocated a room with a heavy bleach smell, we left the front door open for a good 2-3hours, in hopes for the smell to disappear... it didn’t. Fast forward to 2am... this is where you read the email Marco Polo Motor Inn.

No frills hotel but rooms clean, bedding fresh, secure parking and aircon. Room on the small side but still slept 5. Wifi wasn't strong but staff friendly and hotel quiet, so good night sleep. Not much you can fault as reasonably priced, staff friendly, close to city, secure parking and rooms tidy/clean

Room large, terrible design no bedside cabinets or power point near bed , needed to plug in medical equipment lucky we brought a extension cord with us. Bathroom small and not very clean and very old, the curtain did not cover the whole window also the room we had backed onto a smokers terrace terrible for privacy.Plenty of secure parking, near Summer Hill train station about a 10 min walk also plenty of restaurants around train station so they were the positives. Accommodation wasn’t cheap .

This was my worst experience in a long time, Offhanded clerk at reception who would not offer to reserve a place for me to park on the same level as our unit despite my being unable to use stairs due to limited knee function. This was I spite of being requested before the booking was made. The ramp to the second level car parking was so narrow and curved that our Station Wagon barely fitted up and once up there was no room to turn around when we discovered it was fully parked. All units are either second or third level. Ours was second level and obviously recently undergone a makeover. The one next door was being worked on and we had loud drill noises all afternoon. The unit was small and the bed so high off the ground that any normal height person had to struggle to get on it. There was only one large office chair on castors and 2 small low stools. The bathroom was miniscule without any clearance between shower recess and toilet. The hand basin was so small and the ultra trendy tap so large that you could not fill the kettle unless by doing it a cup at a time. It would not fit under the tap. They must think a few freebies make it extra stars but these were on the window recess above the toilet pan so it was a miracle they hid not fall in the pan. This is one place I would not even recommend to my worst enemy.. No one deserves the treatment we got here.

We were upgraded to the newly renovated deluxe family room. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. The rain shower was really nice too. The train station is nearby, approx 10 min uphill walk. The room had everything we needed for one night. We would stay again but only in the newly renovated rooms.

We had 12 of us staying at this hotel across a couple of rooms. Compared to other accommodation rates, this was perfect. Very cheap but at the end of the day we were only sleeping there. Bathrooms very small but you have what you need. Linen was clean and beds were comfy. Toaster, kettle and decent sized fridge in room. Rooms very basic so don’t expect too much. Free parking which was a bonus and it was secure. Location was great! 7-11 across the road, 2 block walk to Summer Hill train station with a 15 - 20 min train ride into the city, just past the train station is Lackey St which has a number of restaurants (Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian), a large IGA and bottle shop. I would stay here again purely based on price.
