I stayed at the lodge after receiving medical treatment nearby. The room was very basic but had everything I needed for my stay. It was clean and comfortable - more than what I expected for the price point.

I turned up at 10pm and had already cancelled and found somewhere else to stay by 11pm. I'm not sure which rooms they use to advertise there hotel on booking.com but it certainly wasn't the one we were put in. The room was small, dirty and dated. Instead of the large bay windows advertised, we had a tiny window in the corner of the room, half obstructed by a television and a wardrobe. The walls were so thin I could here the couple in the next rooms' conversation. The toilet seat fell off the first time we used it. The Wifi didn't work and the fridge in the corner constantly hummed. I had booked to stay for a week and had to pay for two days as a cancellation fee. I was happier to pay and find somewhere else than stay in this room. Had they displayed the pictures of the room we were actually going to stay in I certainly wouldn't have booked this hotel in the first place. The reception was closed by the time we got there which they had already warned us about, but we didn't want to spend the night in the room to discuss it with them in the morning. I managed to find somewhere else, so we left asap.

Good value for money. Nice service and convenient to everything in Sydney. This is a better place to stay at a cheaper rate than a lot of other hotels in Sydney as it's a good quality place (unlike many of the kings cross hotels) and is still very close to the city

Great location, across the road from the prince of wales hospital. It's got a near new bathroom, and we had our own balcony. It's very clean and has friendly staff. Laundry facilities were adequate. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, even though the floor boards were very creaky throughout the room and down the halls. Though overall, it was perfect for what we needed, across the road from the hospital and right next door to a pub where you can buy meals all day every day.

We stayed one night as my partner had surgery at the local hospital the room was clean and comfortable and staff was great. Close walking distance to the Main Street and hospital, car parking was a little tricky but had no issues otherwise.

As an "out of towner" I needed somewhere to stay while my wife was undergoing treatment in the nearby Prince of Wales Hospital. The High Cross Park Lodge was not only close but the rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. As I was unsure how long I would be staying the staff were amazingly understanding and helpful as my departure date changed like the wind! The pricing also made it exceptionally good value. I would highly recommend the High Cross Park Lodge should you need to stay in the Randwick area of Sydney.

We stayed here for 7 nights, during this period nobody came to clean the room or empty our garbage.room was so noisy, could clearly hear all the traffic, everything, also room was very small and not nice, walls and carpet were dirty. Need repaint and refurbish. We would not choose this place again. Only good thin was asian restaurant nearby.

The accommodation was in a convenient location to where we needed to be. A short walk to some nice restaurants in Randwick and of course a very short walk down the hill to Coogee Beach. The room we stayed in was basic, but clean and had what we needed, including a small kitchen with toaster and kitchen sink that I didn't realise when I booked - so that was handy.

The price was right and the place looks like an old Victorian house with several rooms turned into hotel. My room has a fireplace that is blocked by one of the beds of a two bed in a small hotel room. The check in was done by a very nice Taiwanese woman and was very polite and informative about the local area. The place has several floors but no elevator. So you have to be in pretty good shape to climb them stairs. My room had two beds, a full and a twin bed. When they say 'No Smoking' they mean it. If found by room service, the tenant will be asked to leave. There was no smoke odor, which is unusual and excellent. The lodge is located in the heart of Randwick, near lots of stores, restaurants, The bathroom is very small, but has a nice shower and had a half sink. I liked the fact that you were walking distance to everything in town. I even got to work out two days at the gym in the mall. The people were very nice at the restaurants and on the street were helpful for finding directions. The buses ran every few minutes and the Uber was fast and cheaper than taxis. Uber is half the price of taxis for long distance travel and buses were cheap for around town and long distance but took a little longer. Opal computer card is the way to go for bus and train rides.

I stayed at this place for a visit at UNSW, which is within 10 minute walking distance. The room I had was rather cheap for Sydney standards, probably as cheap as it gets unless you stay in a hostel. It is better suited for short term stays, as there is no daily room service and the room is very small. WiFi is available through tickets that are limited to a few days and a certain data limit. The location in Randwick is good, two main streets are nearby and there is a bus connection just outside the place that connects Randwick to the city centre.
