Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney

Having come from a less than stellar accommodation on the Great Ocean Road just a few nights prior, it was a breath of fresh air to arrive at the Amora Jamison and it's 5* luxury. Hotel staff was great and the room was very spacious. Bathrooms were a little dated and in need of a refresh, but the rooms as a whole were exceptional. Located just a 10 minute walk from the Sydney Harbour Bridge and ideally located less than 5 minutes from the nearest train station, it's a great spot for any Sydney stay.

We had a fantastic stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location in the business district is ideal - walking distance from the Opera House and the Quay.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Rocks, Circular Quay, Sidney Opera House, Botanic Gardens. Hotel concierge was very helpful with suggestions, tours, transportation, etc. room was very comfortable and good sized. I would definitely stay here again. I rate this hotel as excellent in all respects but couldn't get the ratings to take on this survey!

Close to Circluar Quay and the Rocks. Well situated.

Very nice hotel centrally located, one block from a train station and an easy walk to the opera house and botanical gardens.

Great Hotel that was well located, at the right price.

A few minutes walk from Circle Quay. A true gem in the hustle and bustle of SYD. Very close to the station.

The location was excellent, easy walking distance to the Rocks yet was quiet for good night's sleep. The staff was courteous and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again

Really enjoyed the stay. Nice staff and good customer service. Some things could have been better but overall really good.

The Amora Jamison is in a wonderful location- close to the harbor, the Opera House, and shopping. The breakfast is excellent.

The Amora Hotel Jamison was an excellent choice for our first visit to Sydney. Easy walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, the Opera House, and other sites. We tried the restaurant for breakfast and for lunch, both were quite good, although the standards in Sydney are very high and outside restaurants were better for our tastes. The room was small but had an excellent layout with a super comfortable bed. Staff very attentive and friendly, offered good suggestions for dining, etc. Free internet was a critical requirement for us and this service was fast and reliable whether in our 19th floor room or in the main lobby. Overall a great value for the money and we couldn't be happier with Amora Hotel Jamison.

Upon arrival we were disappointed that our room wasn't ready (think we were about 1 hr early) however this was the only thing we could fault. The receptionist assisted in viewing potential room upgrades however none took our fancy. The rest of the trip went without a hitch. We ate in the hotel one evening and although we missed the buffet there was a fabulous seafood platter on the menu and the service was fantastic. The location is also second to none.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Hotel was very clean, nice, great amenities, and in a fantastic location. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. If I am lucky enough to go back, will definitely stay in this hotel!

Highly recommend this great hotel. Only drawback is, as in any other hotel, the cost of the amenities -extremely overpriced Internet, breakfast, etc.

We stayed one night at Amora Hotel before starting our 18 day cruise. Hotel is conveniently located close to the Cruise terminal, and within walking distance from attractions like Opera House, Royal Botanic Garden, Westfield Sydney Tower. Room was compact but comfortable. It was nice to find a glass enclosed shower stall. They even provided robes and slippers. The staff was courteous and efficient. They held our luggage and let us walk in the town before the room was ready. Concierge gave us a map and directions. We did not use the in-house restaurants.

The Amora Hotel, located in the Central Business District (CBD), in Sydney was a very pleasant surprise! With a great reputation in the city as a 5-star hotel, my stay there was 5-star as well.

The staff was wonderful and the room was great. The location is spot on, walking distance to both the Opera House and Darling Habor is about 10 mins. Taking the train to and from both the domestic and international airports is very easy, it drops you off a block from the hotel at the Wynyard station. You can buy a weekly pass for bus, trains and ferry's for 59.00 dollars.

The Amora has it all, very stylish decor with a warm and inviting atmosphere, excellent staff and services, spacious (corner) rooms with great views, and a perfect location - walking distance to The Rocks, Circular Quay/Opera House/Botanical Gardens and Darling Harbour yet set away from the crowded tourist areas. The only negatives were the lack of cafes/restaurants open on weekend mornings within a two black radius (plenty in more touristy areas) and they need to replace the window shades that are falling apart. But the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Well located within walking distance of Circular Quay. We had a great room on the "Jamison Club" level, which included club lounge facilities: continental breakfast, evening canapes and drinks. In-room broadband internet was included, but there was no wi-fi available. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms with separate shower and tub, spacious and clean. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past, and it just keeps getting better. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I never touched the front door as the staff was always there to open the dor for us.Arrived at the hotel from our overnight international flight at 9am. I emailed 48 hrs ahead and they had a room for us right as we checked in. If you don't call ahead they probably wont have a room for you. Rooms are very large and first class. Bathrooms are almost as large as the bedroom. Bed is very comfortable and quiet. Nice lighting too.
