I stayed for a week with two teenagers in a two-bedroom apartment. Paid parking was mostly hassle-free. The apartment itself is spacious, well located just steps from the beach, public transport and shops, with comfortable beds, effective air conditioning, and a full kitchen including a large fridge and freezer.
However, several issues affected the stay. Cleaning standards were inconsistent, bathroom drainage was poor, and the main bathroom fan was broken, causing humidity to build up, especially when using the dryer. The dishwasher worked but displayed a drainage error after each cycle. These issues were reported but not resolved during the stay. Only one elevator was operational and it was slow. Kitchen equipment was very basic, requiring me to buy or request simple items. There was also a significant presence of insects and cockroaches—common in Sydney, but excessive here.
I was particularly disappointed that no cleaning was provided on 1 January due to cost, despite high nightly rates. As I cooked daily, basic cleaning was essential, yet no cleaning tools were provided. I had to request a vacuum cleaner; the staff member who assisted was helpful and courteous.
Overall, while the location and apartment size are strong positives, the property feels under-serviced, with minimal maintenance and inconsistent staff friendliness, relying heavily on its prime location to justify the price.
