We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at the resort. The most appealing feature is its beautiful ground by the lake, that is directly linked to the adjacent park and organic farm via a tree lined paved path. We enjoyed strolling and biking from the property to the park every day and kayaking. The area was never busy during our stay. The other great feature is the top notch restaurant Wu Gu located in the park with gorgeous views, featuring organic ingredients from the farm and showcasing local cuisine. Every day, we would take a walk (about 30 minutes) or bike to the restaurant, enjoy lunch at Wu Gu, and go back. If you don't feel like walking, the hotel offers free shuttle service. We had a junior suite facing the lake, which was spacious and comfortable. Spa is serene and enjoyable. It is the best place to enjoy what natures has to offer and some creature comfort. We left dealing refreshed and renewed.
I was staying there for a few days and got a great experience. The hotel have a large area for walk or running along the side of the lake. Beside, there is a nice park around it where you can relax or having a mindfulness. Lunch and breakfast buffet is just great with many choices if Western or Asian selection. Only it take a bit more time to wait European food. Sure I will recommend it.
This hotel is located next to the famous Yang Chang Lake for hairy crabs. A luxurious hotel resort with rooms that are large and fully equipped. The rooms are nicely decorated and the restrooms are large and very clean. I had a king bed and it was firm just as I like. My room had a remote controlled curtain that opens up to a large glass window and door that leads out to a balcony. My room overlook the park and partial view of the lake. Great view! Since we were here for a meeting, we had our meals at the hotel. They had a grand breakfast buffet having food from traditional Chinese to full Western beacon and eggs. Their wonton soup was excellent here. The most notable thing for breakfast is their honey. The honey is served directly from a bee hives. This was my first experience with this fresh delicious honey and loved it. Lunch and dinner were good, but very much westernized rather than fully authentic, based on my opinion. The service was great but English proficiency is rather poor. Although having some drawbacks for non spoken Chinese people like me, this is a very nice place to stay. However, it is quite far from any attraction that you may desire.
The staff at this Fairmont are really exceptional, and always going out of their way to make your stay better (fixing your wifi, arranging a car, etc) The breakfast buffet is amazing. Location is beautiful, but there is nothing nearby (something to keep in mind)
It is a absolutely great resort to get away from the city. My partner and I stayed there for 2 nights. There is a farm on site is very fun to walk around. Front desk staff and managers are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed at the hotel with low occupancy I guess so we got the time to talk with the staff and got to know the area. Exceptional service! Bravo! Even check out, the manger took very good care of us.
I spent five nights at the Fairmont Yangcheng Lake and it was a great experience. All the staff were extremely friendly. In particular Glen and the other staff that I interacted with daily. The facilities were in excellent condition and well maintained. The food was delicious (the pastries in the morning buffet were particularly good). The location on Yangcheng Lake is quite beautiful, with well manicured grounds to walk and enjoy the area. It is a wonderful hotel with excellent staff in a beautiful location. I highly recommend it.
best quality of food I enjoyed in a hotel, very personal atmosphere, too bad I could not enjoy the parc and the wonderful lakeside. Superior rooms are wonderful, staff and service was just perfect, AAA
Nice hotel to stay with, friendly staffs , nice food and most importantly the price is very valuable! Well definitely recommend to everyone! Especially they have a huge farm and recreational place! Hope everyone can enjoy it!
I spent two days and two nights at the Fairmont as a get-away from my teaching job at Duke Kunshan University. This was probably the 7th or 8th time I've stayed there over the last four years. As always, it was a wonderful stay. The people on the staff always remember me and take special care of me. Hartmut (the exec sous chef) came out of the kitchen several times to check whether I was happy with the food (of course I was). Jeff, the manager, gave me a book about Chinese birds and a massage coupon. And the Balinese massage was amazing. I was particularly impressed when I went for my bird walks early in the morning about how many of the grounds-keepers were busy taking care of the property. They are also very friendly. Everyone says ni hao and smiles. Our Vice Chancellor is taking all the faculty out to lunch at the Hotel tomorrow for Teachers' Day. So the Fairmont is a great place for groups, for families, and for people who want a wonderful private get-away.
