Beautiful resort with a grand lobby. All staff that we encountered right from arrival were very helpful and approachable. We were given a very nice spacious room overlooking the lake view. We spent half a day exploring the resort and cycling around the lake. Amazingly, the resort has many activities which you can enjoy if you do not want to travel too far out. For those who love to shop, the factory outlet is a must go which is located about 10 minutes drive from the hotel. We loved this resort and will definitely recommend to all our friends. Well done Fairmont Yangcheng!

Hotel looks grand and pampered with huge space. Facility is well maintained and great. Staff is exceptional with great professionalism in them. The view of the lake by the hotel is fantastic and restful. Will want to come back again of given the opportunity.

Big room with good lake view, but I found rust on shower tub which is not a good impression. The water pressure for shower is not good so that I have to hold shower head in my hand. I had a 2 days meeting there, people who worked in this hotel provides very good service. The tea break is extremely the best one I've ever had.

While it was a real splurge, we wanted the experience to be memorable for our 17 year old before she leaves home for college and to share the day with her closest friends, so we booked her a suite to share with them for the day and night of her birthday. The room was divine, the outlook was so beautiful and they enjoyed all the luxury of a TV in the bathroom, the big comfy bed overlooking the lake and all the gorgeous furniture and decor of the room as teenagers would. Its simply a great location and special to enjoy something fancy! Worth the money... expensive but one off for a family like us!

Stayed at this hotel for a couple nights with some friends. The hotel is right on yangcheng lake. The lake is ok not as good as expected. Hotel room is nice, food is decent. But pool is way too small, gym is below par for this type of hotel. Hotel charges for bikes and about everything. Guests are super loud and they dont allow late check-out. Not worth the money and not 4 or 5 stars more like 3 stars. They need to improve service and grounds

The Fairmont Yangcheng Lake is a calm & relaxing break away from the crowds & activity of Shanghai, famous for the Hairy Crabs caught in the lake particularly from about October to January, when the hotel becomes crowded. We used for a company conference, & the conference facilities were very good. The hotel is about 2 hours by car from Pudong Airport, and a little bit less into the heart of Shanghai. It is located within a wide green belt area, next to and looking over Yangcheng Lake. The rooms are very large and comfortable, with a large balcony. All the room facilities are excellent, & wifi is fast. Check-in and all other front desk activities are fast and efficient. The main restaurant used for breakfast & lunch buffets has a great selection of dishes, and it is difficult to choose based on the large variety offered. The food is of very good quality. The main Chinese restaurant on site is also very good--we had very local dishes which was nice. The hotel has bikes for guest's use, and a water centre where kayaks & other water craft can be hired. The resort swimming pool is another nice place to relax. The city centre of Kunshan is around 20 minutes away by taxi. I would definitely recommend the Fairmont as a conference venue, & also as a short break option from frenetic Shanghai. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

10/10 this hotel was far beyond my expectations. Went here for a very relaxing weekend stay at the hotel. It's a real pleasure dining with organic food that was outstanding. The hotel staff, from drivers to concierge, were very welcoming and happy to help with any suggestions or requests I had. They have so many on-site activities like bee hives tour, kayak, golf and spa every day that I could not even attempt to do them all. Try get a package in advance as hotel is really worth a stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at the resort. The most appealing feature is its beautiful ground by the lake, that is directly linked to the adjacent park and organic farm via a tree lined paved path. We enjoyed strolling and biking from the property to the park every day and kayaking. The area was never busy during our stay. The other great feature is the top notch restaurant Wu Gu located in the park with gorgeous views, featuring organic ingredients from the farm and showcasing local cuisine. Every day, we would take a walk (about 30 minutes) or bike to the restaurant, enjoy lunch at Wu Gu, and go back. If you don't feel like walking, the hotel offers free shuttle service. We had a junior suite facing the lake, which was spacious and comfortable. Spa is serene and enjoyable. It is the best place to enjoy what natures has to offer and some creature comfort. We left dealing refreshed and renewed.

I was staying there for a few days and got a great experience. The hotel have a large area for walk or running along the side of the lake. Beside, there is a nice park around it where you can relax or having a mindfulness. Lunch and breakfast buffet is just great with many choices if Western or Asian selection. Only it take a bit more time to wait European food. Sure I will recommend it.

This hotel is located next to the famous Yang Chang Lake for hairy crabs. A luxurious hotel resort with rooms that are large and fully equipped. The rooms are nicely decorated and the restrooms are large and very clean. I had a king bed and it was firm just as I like. My room had a remote controlled curtain that opens up to a large glass window and door that leads out to a balcony. My room overlook the park and partial view of the lake. Great view! Since we were here for a meeting, we had our meals at the hotel. They had a grand breakfast buffet having food from traditional Chinese to full Western beacon and eggs. Their wonton soup was excellent here. The most notable thing for breakfast is their honey. The honey is served directly from a bee hives. This was my first experience with this fresh delicious honey and loved it. Lunch and dinner were good, but very much westernized rather than fully authentic, based on my opinion. The service was great but English proficiency is rather poor. Although having some drawbacks for non spoken Chinese people like me, this is a very nice place to stay. However, it is quite far from any attraction that you may desire.
