ideal for city breaks - it's right by the S Bahn / Ubahn public transport and by shops, cafes and restaurants. Rooms are clean, small and functional. staff are friendly, helpful, not gushing. Not a good idea to arrive by car but ideal on foot

Pro's - The location! Right in the middle of the shopping street with tons of restaurants and bars to chose from. Rooms are mostly located at the back so not bothered by street noise. The U-bahn and S-bahn station are right next door which was super convenient considering the U11 goes straight to the Porsche Arena where I had to be all week. - I had a single room which was spacious enough and I could open the window Cons - The Wifi is absolutely horrendous. Never experienced such a bad Wifi connection in a hotel before. There is no password or login so if you are in the restaurant next door you can still get the signal (and so will other restaurant guests who are not staying there). They should really secure the wifi with a password and improve the signal. In my room I got 2 stripes at the most and it never holded on more than a minute or so before losing connection again. I completely drained my whole 4G data bundle because I could not use the wifi at all. - The hotel is outdated. Rooms are very, very basic and simple. I think normally that would be reflected in the price but I was staying here during the Canstatter Volksfest and the World Championships Gymnastics which drove the price up to 150 euro's a night. That is absolutely NOT what this hotel is worth per night. - Rooms are noisy. Walls seem to be very thin and I could hear my neighbours talk. Fortunately I had decent neighbours - Breakfast is kind of expensive (12,90) for the breakfast options served. But there are plenty of bakery's right next to the hotel so I mostly went there All in all this is a convenient hotel if you want to be near all the action and have a smooth connection to the rest of the city and the airport. If you are looking for a little more comfort and luxury stay elsewhere.

Visited here for 3 nights to visit the local Cannstatter Volksfest. The hotel is situated centrally at the top of the main 'High Street' right next to a U Bahn station. It is also surrounded by various shops, bars etc. On arrival the receptionist was very helpful and polite and booked us in, advising all 4 single rooms were on the 3rd floor (I have asked for quiet rooms high up). The rooms themselves were adequate for what we needed. Small but perfectly fine, containing toilet/shower, single bed, TV, heating and generally clean and most of all QUIET. The hotel itself is looking a bit tired and dated and could do with an upgrade but that dosn't defect from the rating..........HOWEVER........When I booked the rooms for 3 nights this year, they cost £222.75 each which is very good value but I have looked online to see how much the same room would cost next year over the same period and it's ROCKETED to £1787 EACH!!!!! C'mon Novum Hotel - that is outrageous and simply cashing in on the local Volksfest. Not impressed. I had scored this 4 out of 5 but have dropped another star due to this. Not good service.

We stayed for 1 night in Novum hotel. Had a nice welcome from the reception lady. The room was fine, big enough for us (2 adults and 1 teenager) together with all our suitcases. We had a parking area to park our car though it Costs EUR 20 per 24 hrs. The next morning, we went to visit the city centre. It was walking distance from the hotel and we did a walk for an hour. The next hour was spent in shopping since we were on the main shopping boulevard. Very nice, and we all liked German people for their courteousness.

Hotel is very central to bars, restaurants and shops so a great location. Hotel is clean, rooms are serviced everyday. Reception staff polite, make sure you use correct car park for the hotel unfortunately when we rang the receptionist told us to us public car park which is EUR 5 a day more expensive than the hotel! Rooms are functional and clean however we were on the front and was extremely noisy until 3am every night. Some noise expected in the city location but this was crazy then the street workers start at 5am! I would stay here again but request a room at the back of the hotel, i had taken ear plugs so i guess this would be my advice :)

Stayed two nights just to be able to go to the Porsche museum. The location is perfect if you're looking for right in the center. You have loads of restaurants, bars and nightlife right where you live. The hotel is for sure outdated, and in need of an overhaul. And they were doing just this in parts of the hotel as I was there. The hotel is huge, I have no idea how many rooms they have, but it must be many. To get to my room from the reception, it was like walking in a labyrint of hallways and stairs up and down. The room in itself, was nothing special. But it was good for what you pay! The hotel have a good, secure garage that is, if I remember correctly, 15-18€/night, and I was very happy about this. Breakfast is ok, not bad, not great.

Stayed for a long weekend with friends in April. Hotel has a good location by the walking street, easy access by walking to many sights in the center. Very basic hotel, rooms pretty small but had everything we needed. Cleaning was fine but rooms are already getting worn out and needs update, especially beds. Wifi worked well. Room was getting pretty hot even though weather was only +10 or so. Must be really hot in summer. Staff at the front desk were pretty strange- it was really difficult to get them say hello or good morning, seemed they had something really interesting going on on the floor as it was so hard for them to have a look at you and say something. If you need a cheap place to sleep for a night or two this is fine but if you wish to have service I would recommend to look for other hotels in that area.

Location is perfect. But.... Old rooms, old furnitures, old hotel, average minus clean, noisy, and last but not least a very rude and very intrusive and very german speaking staff, ... The breakfast is ok for 12 e. Not expensive to be honest, but far from a 3 stars in Germany.

We were apprehensive after booking this with so many bad reviews! It is a little dated but it is quite comfortable. We thought slightly difficult to find as address seems to be a street just up from hotel so we passed a few times. Check in was slightly stressful as we couldn't be found. Not sure if it was reservation or our passport that caused the issue but the confusion was down to reversed name and surname. Phew once sorted!! Room was a little walk but not that far once done once. Room was a good size, overly warm in early evening no matter what we did with heating but it regulated by nighttime. The one thing I didn't really like was bathroom. It is compact which is fine. But it had what looked like shower over bath but a tiny bath. And that had a kind of step at and which made standing space even smaller. Getting in and out of it wasn't great - always afraid of slipping if it was wet. Lovely powerful shower once actually in. Would happily stay here again.

We visited the Wasen and stayed in the centre. The hotel is in the middle of a retail area but within metres of resturants, bars , and all the public transport. Hotel was clean and staff good. Rooms a good size and clean. If you want to explore stuttgart this a an ideal hotel to have as your base
