Stayed here on the night of the 16/09/17 Upon checking in I asked what time is departure was really impressed when receptionist said it's Sunday tomorrow leave by 5pm Room was a good size large double bed Mini bar and treats placed in room but at a small price Kettle and good supply of tea and coffee Breakfast on floor one was excellent good choice of hot and cold food Shuttle to the airport cost 5€ can book in advance or leaves every 15 mins Really nice comfortable hotel excellent breakfast and helpful staff
Looking quite simple from the outside the hotel offers new interior and modern & friendly rooms with excellent beds. The breakfast buffet offers everything you need, no service for drinks or coffee - all needs to be picked personally. The food taste and quality in the restaurant needs improvement. Travelling with a group of 16 all of us complained and we choose to eat outside next day. The restaurant management would also not support to merge tables - we all had to sit on separate tables.
At the arrival and during our stay we witness the worst service and the most rude staff in all the NH group. The aggressiveness of the reception staff was impressive and even more than the lack of education and empathy. The room was with an horrible smell. A very bad experience never to repeat again.
The NH Hotel Stuttgart airport is located on the south side of the airport in the industrial area of Filderstadt. Due to the fact that the international fair and Stuttgart itself is on the north side of the airport you might be in the wrong direction on the way to Stuttgart but this hotel is perfect for a short business stay in this area. The south side is a more quiet area than the north side and you will find all necessary facilities nearby. As well you won't hear the airport or the landing/starting planes. Only the street in front will might be a little bit loud. The hotel and the rooms are typical for a business hotel. So rooms are clean and equipped with all necessary stuff - like minibar, TV, telephone, bathroom, bed, free WiFi and working place. Breakfast is served on the first floor and offered in a buffet style. You will find coffee varieties, juices, different rolls and bread, ham, cheese, fruits, variety of eggs .... In front and around the hotel you will find parking places. Lobby area is clean and modern designed. Staff was friendly and helpful. So for a short business stay I can recommend this house. For a family trip I would recommend a hotel closer to main city.
We've stayed in the hotel from Aug, 8 till Aug, 15, 2017. Actually, we're still staying here. The place is very close to the airport, but if you don't hire a car it'll take you more then an hour to get to the city. The rooms are nice and neat and the breakfast is very well, except one point - no salad was all this week. The rest is under the red line. Cleaning is awful - the cleaner from one side didn't remove any dust nor swept the floor in the room and left teacups dirty on the table where they were left in the morning and from other side she had thrown away my full small bottle of whiskey together with empty bottles of water. After my complaint about the issue I've received a letter on desk in the room saying: "Regarding the missing bottle, I'm sorry to inform you the it was removed from the room by our housekeeping staff. We were informed that the bottle was removed due to the bottle being completely empty. I do hope this is not too much of inconvenience for you." As usual in cheap places their policy as follows - guest leis to get something more. The housekeeping staff tries so hard to clean that leaves dirty cups on the desk and after complaints the reception even didn't apologize for this, but sent a clean one. Bottom line - not recommended
Although the name of the Hotel is NH Stuttgart Airport, one should note that it is not located at the airport. It is at least a 7-10 minutes drive away. We had booked this hotel because we thought it was situated at the airport or at least within walking distance and that shuttle service was provided. However, we were surprised to learn that Shuttle service from the airport was free but service from the Hotel to the Airport was 5 Euro/person. The bed was comfortable and room very quiet. The breakfast is excellent.
Booked at one week's notice. Cost €380 for one night. When I checked-in they only had smoking rooms left. As a non smoker that's not good. I managed to haggle and get breakfast and one drink at the bar thrown in (yeah, big deal!). Service at Restaurant was poor. No interest in how I was or if I liked the food. There was no-one serving at the bar. I had to walk back to the restaurant to get someone to get me a drink. Had to wait 10 minutes. There was no 'ambience' at all. A very expensive and soulless hotel. Avoid unless you have no other choice. I've had much better service at Premier Inn (UK) for £30 (yep, 10x cheaper and far better service!).
Very nice hotel, very good breakfast buffet. Geared toward the business traveler. Airport pick up and return, but you will need to make a reservation the night before, for return to airport. There is a fee for the return trip to the airport.
Hotel in need of a bit of maintenance in public areas as carpets fraying. Plus side was rooms were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff are fantastic and helpful. Hotel states it's an airport hotel but is a 10 min drive away or via shuttle bus which must be booked in advance from hotel as very limited space and runs 1/2 hourly. Unable to use spa facilities as they didn't open until 4:30pm at the weekend.
Typical chain NH hotel. It is not directly at the airport, but a 10 minute drive away. They have a regular shuttle service to and from the airport. The rooms are very standard: functional, clean, but nothing special. The service in the bar, if present, was good. The restaurant was a disaster: they forgot my meal; then brought half of my meal when everyone else had finished, then the other half of my meal once the first half had gone cold. The price was extortionate and the quality, through poor service, was unacceptable. I was offered a free drink while a waited for my meal.
