Awfull hotel. Stinks cigarette smoke. Wi-Fi doesn't workshop at the rooms. Minibars are out of order, and its very hot here now (June) and we cannot have cold water or drinks. I hated this place! I'll never stay here again!
Nice hotel. Clean. Tidy. Polite staff... so what's wrong...? That's it... there is nothing wrong with the place, it's just a bit dated. Off the 'beaten track'. Wi-Fi that is sooooo slow that it is pre-historic. Whilst I was in the hotel my Instagram account got hacked. No safe in room. No AC in room. Tiny shower cabinet. Fast lift. No bar.
We stayed in this hotel for three nights. We had chosen for proximity to family and internet connection. On arrival we were given a code for Internet and told that perhaps it may not work but for sure it would be fixed by the morning. Next day nothing. And following days. One of the staff at reception told us that she didn't know if it would be working as she never used the Internet at the hotel, and made no attempt to find out if it would be fixed any time soon. One of the receptoinists in particular was very rude, and the others were fine. Also the mini bar fridge was not working in the room. The evening receptionist told us that was normal and that all the minibars in the hotel were broken. The receptionist in the morning promised to send a technician to fix it. Needless to say it never worked. I would not recommend this hotel at all. It felt like the receptionists just said the first thing that came into their heads to cover up all of the failings of the establishment, but well.
This is a budget hotel, and we were expecting basic. Chosen for proximity to Porsche museum and this is its major plus point (short drive, 10 min walk), along with a great breakfast with very pleasant and efficient dining staff. Wifi is boasted, but is non-existent. Poor check-in experience, with no care taken, inefficient and no welcome. Shrugged and scowled at during the evening - we apparently shouldn't have asked for help with the wifi or for an iron! Rooms poorly maintained, not particularly clean and needing lots of decor work. Good indoor car park. Morning receptionist pleasant - I got an iron from him! His good attitude, the breakfast and handy location saved the hotel from a 1 star rating.
We had a long wait to check in. There was only one elderly man on reception who was slow to deal with a group in front of us and, even after the formalities appeared to spend time simply chatting when it was obvious that there was a queue forming - by this time two other (separate) people were also waiting. We have stayed in this hotel twice before because of its proximity to the station and ease of getting in an out of Stuttgart but this time found it really tired looking and carpets etc needing a good deep clean. The hotel was very full and, clearly, they were ill-equipped to cope with so many at breakfast. The included buffet breakfast itself was good but on the second morning we were put in a make-shift dining area in the basement - with only coffee and rolls downstairs. If we wanted other items on offer we had to go upstairs again and take them back. The first night was very noisy with other guests still shouting etc at around 5 am. Since reception closed at 11pm there was no-one to sort it out. A tea/coffee tray in the room would have been nice.
I stayed at Zuffenhausen Hotel for just one night, as a stop in the way to Frankfurt. It's a good hotel, but we had an issue when checking-in as the key for our apartment didn't work (was changed/replaced for a wrong key) and the staff couldn't manage to give us another room or fix the key issue. The room is confortable and th price is fair. They also have a good breakfast, although very strict about the time. If you want to visit the Porsche Musuem, it's a place to think about.
Stayed there one night. Not fancy, thin walls, and if you are staying in any room ending with 14 you are in the fire stairs and will here guests during night. Note that the wifi is very limited to certain areas, it is also 1 Mbit if you are in the right zoon. Very crappy! It is located near a grocery store open until 22 and close by a Lidl. The U-bahn is close and it is walking distance to Porsche museum. Breakfast was included in price even though booking said it would not. The food was also surprisingly good! (breakfast.
As some other reviewers have alluded to, it is reasonably priced, not too far away from the train station, Lidl and some restaurants. Perfectly adequate stay with some observations: The Elevator/Lift is a time machine, the decor is very early 90's, it took me back to that time, and the ground floor. There was a fridge in the room, I asked how do you turn the refrigerator on? Not knowing our room number, the receptionist replied: 'It doesn't work' I replied: 'Every refrigerator in the hotel doesn't work?' She replied, 'yes'. I summised it seems to be a refrigerator viral contagion in the hotel, or the refrigerator conspiracy, were they really refrigerators? or cupboards 'pimped up' to look like refrigerators, if so, why? Who knows? Reception staff were very pleasant.
No frills stay at this hotel. It is a bit dated decor wise, but that generally isn't a big deal to me. Hotel was clean and tidy, and is walkable distance to Porsche museum. Bed I found fairly comfortable. Won't have any great views from hotel Windows and it's not the most romantic but it'll do in a pinch.
This hotel was the worst we have been to.The carpets had more stains on than a baby's bib area was not that good either would not recommend this hotel to anyone the only good thing was breakfast it was good
