Stayed here many times over the years it’s a very nice hotel with grand reception. Room was big and clean ridiculously hot and as winter the air con is disabled . Had to turn off radiator and open window to get under 25 degrees . I don’t like a hot room . Breakfast was good lots of choice although coffee was not good . Hotel bar was good although empty not cheap and as is common in all Russian hotels the ladies of the night are on duty which I don’t like . They don’t bother you but are there
Firstly, the hotel was very quick to respond to emails, and very helpful in booking airport transfer; driver was very friendly and gave advice for sightseeing, getting me to the hotel in a timely fashion. The hotel itself is visually pleasing, both exterior and interior. Reception staff were very courteous, offering a complimentary arrival drink and speedy booking process. The room was comfortable, business quality accommodation with large bed, although the bathroom did feel a little dated in comparison to the rest of the room. Room service was very good, with a strong in room dining menu choice and timely delivery. Overall I would recommend this hotel to business contacts and acquaintances who can afford this budget.
as we are in 2017, we expect staff to be friendly, educated, able to speak other languages than russian; this is what we had in this hotel, a good structure, a proper cleaning and breakfast. But going to the staff, a nightmare, they were listening to our questions, answering "just a minute please", and then disappearing behind the desk in some offices, not returning. Another staff ? same story, pathetic
Location is good for the walk in the center, but not so good for the coming and leaving by car due to the traffic. It takes too long to get to the hotel. Some rooms are nice, but not the standard one. The standard rooms are too simple for its price. The service is very very slow. In the morning you need at least 15 min in order to get the elevator . The value of money does not correspond to the value of services.
My first stay at this hotel was due to a conference and have tried it on my own too. The hotel is very nicely located at the center of Nevskiy prospect giving access to most attractions in St. Petersburg with all public transport nearby (those who like walking can explore further!). Great breakfast, cafe shop and restaurant within & my only negative remark is that staff (other than conscierge) were not always so friendly / eager to help!
The best so far. The staff were very helpfully. The bathroom and bedrooms were spacious.Very clean.Breakfast was too good.would love to go there again. The hotel is well situated in the main area which is an advantage for visiting all the places of interest and museum. For me this hotel was the best.
Visiting here one night with friend. We choose Executive King-room. Room included all what we needed. The best thing was access to Executive Club Lounge. Small tapas style food, beer, wine and very good staff (like Tatyana). Staff also helps us in check-in, giving nice tips to St.Petersburg. Lobby Bar works nicely and they have few good gins to gintonic. Breakfast have wide selection of everything. I can recommend this hotel strongly and I will use same hotel in future!
I found the experience unwelcome from the beginning (check in) . At check in all before me and after were served with a welcome drink, bar me. I could only put it down to my brown skin complexion I had a few similar experiences since. I had my CC authorised, at check in, for extras during stay. Few hours later I had tea as room service but on delivery the staff insisted that I pay the Rub 275 rather than charge it my room , despite me telling him I had my credit card already authorised. When checking out I was asked about room charges which I had to repeat to him twice that it was prepaid. This is something he could have checked in the system. I got a car & guide from the hotel for 13,000 Rub+ for a city tour and visits to Hermitage Museum and the church on the saviour of blood. It was for a total of 5 hours, but it lasted just over 3.5 hours. City tour was limited to drive to light house area and pointing out to attractions around. The Guide, although of acceptable standard, was asking me to refer her as a friend, rather than my Guide, should anyone question. This I found it strange after shelling out nearly £200 for 5 hours tour! Travel is my passion, been to nearly 30 countries. Never experienced like this any hotel. I must say I encountered only one friendly occasion when I was printing out boarding pass in business centre , one gentleman walked in to find out if he could be some help As for the hotel facilities, it is a good 4* ; definitely not 5* as advised.
Stayed there for a conference. Prompt and efficient service in front desk. All requests are dealt with efficiently and speed no matter the time and how busy the hotel is. Breakfast: Relatively basic compare to other luxury hotels I have visited in Russia . Jim: Don't expect much out of the Jim facility. Although it is clean and well kept , the equipments are old and not sufficient. There is only one treadmill and it's out of service (see photo). I have stayed there for 5 nights but it was never repaired. It seems that what is described as "Temporary " becomes "Permanent "..... In short - not for Fitness room's fans. So if you value good fitness room and equipment, better look for another hotel. Otherwise, staying in the Corinthia is very pleasant.
But a mike away from most beautiful part of city, very nice and recent hotel with friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. If you have a car be careful of mafia of security of the hotel who make their little business asking (too much) money to let you park in front of hotel ...
