On entry, past the smiling doorman, we came to a large, stylish lobby area. Check in was handled efficiently and we were offered a welcoming glass of champagne which we enjoyed in the lobby while our bags were taken to our rooms. Room was large, with a big, comfortable bed. Shower was good, and so was the wifi. I found all the staff to be polite and efficient, and they spoke good English. In fact the staff assistance was excellent, especially the concierge. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The location of the hotel was perfect with many places of interest no more than 30 minutes walk away, which suited me as I like to explore on foot. Otherwise, taxis were easy to arrange. I've told my friends about the great time I had in St. Peterburg, and if they decide to visit, I will have no hesitation in recommending Corinthia Hotel
The hotel is very well situated and is an easy walk from the metro and is surrounded by lots of places to eat and drink and shop and not far from plenty of tourist sites. The design and quality is first rate and quite luxurious. The room was spacious, clean comfortable and well appointed and the staff were really nice. There was an issue with noisy air con and vibration disturbance in room 437 and our friends had to turn their air con off but the staff promptly sorted us an alternative room. All the staff were excellent and very helpful both before we arrived and during our stay and they did a lovely job with my birthday.
We stayed here just after Xmas till New Years Eve for our Xmas holiday travelling from Edinburgh. Hotel ideally located in Nevsky Prospect. We were welcomed with a glass of Champagne while we waited 15 minutes for our room to be changed. This was not an issue. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Hotel was tastefully decorated for the festive season in the reception area. I have to say that there were quite a few families with children who did not have much respect for other guests. We understand that families are welcome however we believe there should be some sort of control. I understand this is not the hotels fault but should be monitored by hotel management. All staff was professional and helpful. Our only gripe was booking a taxi at reception to the opera, we were quoted a price however when the taxi took us he doubled the price. Please check taxi prices. St Petersburg is a beautiful city with plenty of dining options however we were on two occasions targeted by dubious pick pockets. Future travellers please beware! We would not hesitate staying at this hotel again and have indeed recommended it to friends travelling later in the year. Thank you for a super break.
Beautiful hotel, with in a perfect location. It's situated on the main street in St Petersburg and is within walking distance of most of the major sight seeing places that you would like to visit. There is a wide variety available for breakfast. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Conference facilities were good, I loved the pens. The food and service were outstanding. I would definitely stay here again.
The Corinthia is pricey, however, it is worth the money. Perfectly located on Nevskiy Prospect, in the middle of St. Petersburg's answer to Champs Elysee, it offers 5* hotel service. Very friendly personell, perfectly cleaned rooms twice a day - everything was just great.
Excellent hotel from start to finish. You feel like you are in a proper hotel the moment the door staff open the door for you and greet you warmly. The reception area is grand and spectacular. The rooms are big, clean, modern and comfortable. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel like a valued guest. The food is tasty and room service is excellent. The gym/sauna area is nice with dressing gowns, slippers and toiletries. Location is superb too, you are close to lots of shops and restaurants and it's handy for sightseeing too. Got offered a complimentary glass of champagne on check in and check out. Great service.
Nice hotel and good location - just what you expect from a 5* hotel. Hotel gets 4/5. Very comfortable beds. Some funny smells in corridors but otherwise good. The idea of executive lounge is nice BUT there are too many SCREAMING children in it. Too many times, I went to the lounge there were children running around, screaming and shouting and crying. We had to leave. This would NOT be acceptable in a restaurant, bar or even cafe so why is it here? The parents did not care and were using it as an extension of their room/ play ground. We mentioned this to the staff and they did not care. There should be signs saying quiet or it should be relabelled at a business lounge or for over 12 years etc. The extra money for the lounge is ONLY worth it if you have a family and young kids so you can feed them for ‘free’ (which is what everyone was doing.) If you are an adult, couple, traveling on business, or dare I say executive, you wont find it enjoyable other than taking a ‘free’ beer to you room which you could probably afford anyway. Corinthia...you should re think this one as you are discouraging the high margin customers from returning...
Located right on Nevsky Prospekt, this is a great hotel in St Petersburg. Nice staff, beautiful rooms, with good fittings and nice bathrooms, this is a very classy establishment within an amazing city. We stayed in an executive room, which came with access to the executive lounge - which is great for a few drinks or a light meal during the day. We also ate at the Vienna café, which while pretty quiet, provided a good and cheap option for food at the hotel. Our room looked fairly new in terms of being refurbished, so it was in very good condition. This was the first stop on our honeymoon, so we loved the surprise of arriving to a nice platter and champagne as well! The service at the hotel was very good, in particular Artur who served us on a few occasions at the main desk - he could not have been more helpful or cheerful. The only real downside was the breakfast - which while providing a good range of food, was of only fairly ordinary quality compared to other major 5 star hotels we have stayed at in other cities. It was not really much of a highlight. Certainly somewhere to consider staying in St Petersburg if it fits within your budget. A nice facility in line with the broader great reputation of the Corinthia brand. Keep an eye out for their sales online - you can get significant discounts on the expensive rack rates advertised on the website.
We travelled last January to this beautiful city. Highly recommended and if you get the chance go before 14th Jan as you will then still see the Christmas lights and it’s a magical experience. We joined a free tour which left from outside the Heritage museum and was very informative and lasted 3 hours. We visited all the major sites. Be sure to go on the underground’s which have beautiful stations. The Corinthian Hotel is in a great location and hotel staff are fantastic. Unfortunately I broke my arm whilst on my short trip and the hotel team were fantastic and got me into a private hospital within a couple of hours. The breakfast Is great and hotel is spotless. We went to the ballet which is located near to the hotel and what a great experience. Spend an afternoon in the Heritage museum as it is amazing and well worth getting a guide to take you around as you will miss things otherwise. Highly recommended for a short break
It was a very pleasant surprise. We were impressed with the service, in particular the executive lounge. The location is excellent. The toiletries and the size of the room are great too. Made our first family trip to St. Petersburg a very memorable one.
