Beachcomber Beach Resort

Hotel is a bit dated as well as the rooms, but served its purpose. We (couple) were only there for one night and had no issues. It is a nice location on the beach with a fun bar/restaurant on site and the surrounding bars to the right and left are fun places as well. Convenient store across the street to pick up beer/snacks.

The hotel is right on the beach, you only have to walk through their beach bar to get to it, which I didn't like much with 2 kids! Our room was right next to the beach bar which has live music! Staff were just fine! They deliver food from the bar to the rooms on bikes! The hotel is across from dunkin donuts for your breakfast or ice cream. Rooms arent that clean! Carpets were filthy. My wife's white socks turned black!! She threw them away! We all had to use flipflop after that. Room has fridge and microwave. I got charged twice, once by orbitz and once by the hotel itself, so check your credit card.

This hotel was NOT family friendly! To start off, there was an obscene drunk man shouting at everyone. I was asked to pull up so they could escort the drunk man off the property. Our room was at the back of the hotel near the large pool and the bar which was very loud (507). There were older couples blaring their radio above the live bar band sitting outside their room drinking. The room was very small and out dated. We stayed in the room long enough to realize that with three children we would not be able to stay there overnight. We asked to move away from the bar and the front desk lady, Dana was very accommodating and kind. She moved us to room 301 at the very front which was the same size as the other room, but looked slightly more updated than the prior room. While moving from the end of the hotel to the front we passed two women who smelled highly of marijuana and as they entered their room, it too smelled of it. I saw the security guard coming towards me and joked, asking if he was on his way to get the pot heads. He asked where they were and I said room 308. I started to unpack in the new room when I had a knock at the door. The security guard was back and said that toom 308 called in a complaint in my kids running around. We literally just got to that room. The water pressure wasn't good and frequently the water would get scorching hot. It was NOT worth the money we spent at all! Don't waste your money. This is a run down party place for 50 to 60 year olds.

I picked this hotel because it's on the beach and for the live music. The music at Jimmy B's was great. Our room was on the bottom right by the pool. There was some noise from people leaving the bar late and then people leaving early in the morning but I can go right back to sleep so I didn't mind. This is an older hotel but very clean. I hope they don't update and keep the prices low.

Stayed 5 nights and enjoyed the convenience of having ground floor room right by the pool! I like the courtyard and feel of the hotel (not a big convention center). Live music everyday. Although there is no breakfast option in the hotel, several restaurants are within a short walk. bathroom is small but the closet is very roomy. the bed was comfortable but I would have enjoyed better pillows! So it's a 4.

Security must do a better job of getting now hotel guest off the property once jimmy b's closes. Have drunk non guests try to get in guess rooms will create legal issues for everyone. The hotel issues seem to be getting worse over the years since Jimmy b's has gotten bigger and bigger. The next time we go to st Pete beach we will be staying some where else. Additionally no where should a draft beer cost 5 bucks.

Great location to restaurants, beach, and shopping!

Staff were friendly. The maid did a great job keeping our room clean. It's an older hotel as are most up and down the beach but it has been kept up well. Right on the beach at the hotel is Jimmy B's with live entertainment and great food every day. There is a sports bar at the front but we didn't get a chance to use it but went in and it looks like a great spot.

We checked in kind of late around 7pm and was immediately stopped pulling in by a security officer. Once he found out we were trying to get a room he radioed the front desk to see if there were any room available. Once he found out there was he allowed us to pass. I had found a good price on orbitz for a room but wanted to see if I could get a better price at the counter. Well I could not get a better price at the counter. So I booked the room on orbitz right in front of the guy behind the counter. This seemed to upset him. After I did that he then informed me that it usually takes about an hour for the reservation to come through to their computer when booked through orbitz. So we went and got our luggage and sat down in the lobby to wait out the supposed 1 hour. Well I asked the guy if I could drink a beer while waiting and he hesitantly said yes. Maybe at this point a total of 10 min had passed. As soon as I cracked open that beer he called us over and said the reservation had just come through. Coincidence or not....you be the judge. But the feeling I got was that he was unhappy at the way I booked the room through orbitz instead of him and he wanted to then inconvenience us by making us wait 1 hour, but as soon as that beer cracked open he wanted to get us out of the lobby. At least that's my take on it.

older hotel thats had a basic remodal, bathroom tiny. pools are loud and beach bar brings in a big crowd and did have live music nightly, beach is very wide and beautiful

We had a great time at this resort, grounds are absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. Front desk and other staff are nice and friendly. Bar/restaurant is amazing with live music playing from 2pm until late at night, not too loud just perfect to relax and hang out either at the bar or by the pool. You can order food and drinks to the pool area which was great. Pool was nice and clean and never over crowded, kids were swimming until 10pm and we just sat there by the pool and enjoyed their amazing drinks and live music. Everybody in our family had fun. Beach is just steps away, beautiful sand and water. Rooms were clean, new furniture, comfortable mattress but room itself was little dated, walls, carpet, bathroom.. Overall great experience, will defiantly be back!!!!! Free parking and no resort fees!!!!

Several bars in the area as well as 2 in the hotel. The beach bar had live music at night and the sports bar has free video gaming

We checked in on Sunday, October 11th. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Walking to our room we heard music coming from the beach bar. Went to get an appetizer and drink. The band was amazing and the bar staff was very attentive. We went to Players bar to check out some football scores. There were televisions everywhere with not only NFL games but also MLB playoff games. The hotel is centrally located to everything and the sunset views from the beach are breath taking. The grounds are very well maintained. Two nice pools compliment the courtyard as well as a fountain. I would definitely recommend Beachcomber for your next visit to St.Pete beach. We're already making plans for next year.

We enjoy the bands in the bar, the pools, and the food. The maids remember us.the bar staff especially Darlene & Bill are great. Some of the newer help are not as helpful. We waited over a week for sprinkler to be turned away from the door. Marlene at desk was helpful. The maids Lucille. Donna. & Miss Janie took care of us.

This hotel was in a great location and had everything you could want nearby. Safe area and lots of nightlife entertainment. Would recommend and hope to return.

I've stayed at the Beachcomber 4 times in the past few years. It is one of my favorite places to stay in SPB and the location is perfect! The rooms are a lot better now since they have remodeled them. One of the main things I love about this place is the live entertainment every day!!!! The no resort fee is also nice because many surrounding properties have a fee. All of the staff is very friendly and always greets you when you see them around the property. The food is excellent and well priced. Drinks are reasonable and if you get their discount card the price is even better especially during happy hour. I have no complaints about anything and will continue to return!

I stay there a lot and I always been treated like family! the best place on St. Pete Beach ! I'll be staying there again in a few weeks . no bad surprises .. always 5 star service !

Everything was as we expected, staff was very efficient and courteous, we'll come back in the near future.

Every year we have enjoyed our stay here. Friendly staff good service and very nice about helping.

We shared our hotel with local roaches! Besides the dreary outdated interior and exterior the hotel is in need of many repairs. It's a chain smokers delight!.spend the extra money hotel is a nightmare
