Great breakfast and service in bistro - enjoyed the Aveda products! Room was a little worn/tired unfortunately although our room had large window on 2nd floor with an electric firelog - very dirty exhaust vent in bathroom - closet door off rails - only 2 large towels left w/no face cloths. Had higher expectations based on reviews

The room was in the basement so small windows high up - could'nt oprn them. The room was hot and couldn't control the temperatiure from the room. But well appointed and clean. Great Bistro.

We recently stayed at this hotel and while we did experience a couple of problems with our room, I have to say the front desk staff were absolutely outstanding. From the moment we brought the issues to their attention, they handled everything with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied with our stay.

We usually enjoy our stay at the Monastery...This time however we were staying in the building across the parking lot. The room had an odd smell when we arrived (musty) Also someone was smoking marihuana outside our window and it was coming in through our air conditioner.

This hotel was very convenient for walking downtown. It took about 15 minutes. Having a cooker breakfast included was great and we were able to get some laundry done.

The included breakfast was available in the hotel’s spa building. The Spa building was a beautiful renovated character building. Great staff in bistro. They were friendly, warm, and efficient. Disappointed in our room as it was not in the main hotel but in an unattractive auxiliary building. Room was spacious and modern. Hotel reception was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Front desk reluctant to have our room “made up” between our 2 nights.
