I liked the oatmeal and fruit for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was impressive but too much food for me in the morning. Restaurant has very good staff always helpful. Housekeeping was good too.

Good location for St. John’s

Hotel is in a good location. Room was a good size but our room only had one small window so I felt it was dark. I would request a room with a larger window. Breakfast buffet daily had decent selection. When it got busy the staff on the weekend couldn’t keep up with replenishment or taking away used dishes on tables. Staff were friendly.

It was the most sterile looking, least inviting hotel I've stayed at. We had the pleasure of staying at 4 hotels during our honeymoon while traveling. This hotel being the most expensive and felt the least inviting. We had to pay $15 a day to park in a place that we were already paying to stay at. The AC in our room, 914, was so loud it continously woke us up throughout the night and as someone with hearing loss, I couldn't even communicate with my partner over the noise. When trying to leave, we waited so long for the one working elevator, that we had to walk down the 9 flights of stairs. Upon booking, weeks ago, we informed the hotel that it was our honeymoon and not that we expected it, but there was nothing special done to make the experience feel more romantic. We travel a good bit, we were hoping to make Hilton Gardens "our" hotel wherever we go, but we have decided against that. A motel we stayed at the night before was less than half the price, nicer, more inviting, and had a bottle of champagne for us with a hand written note. A hotel the night after had rose pedals in a heart on the bed. But this "high end hotel" gave us 2 water bottles, how giving. It certainly wasn't the inviting, "we want you to come back" experience we were hoping for. When there are so many hotels around for cheaper prices with a much better experience and gives a better feeling, we won't be back.

Property itself was decent. One elevator was down at one of the busiest times of the year. As someone who tends to not use physical cards for payment, there were no tap options there. We thought the breakfast was included like most hotels do these days, like the self serve type. We grabbed plates and served ourselves and then not long after we were finished, we received a bill for $60. Then trying to pay once again using tap, the gentleman kept saying out loud that my card declined and I would have to find another method of payment. Little things add up to put a wrinkle into otherwise decent stay. More information and convenience options would have been nice for what was spent for the stay.

Great new hotel, difficult to get to at times due to congested traffic area. A lot of construction in that area. Hotel it self was great and very clean.
