Very relaxing
Absolutely LOVED this place. We WILL BE BACK !!!
The Galley Bay was the most beautiful and peaceful vacation my Husband and I have ever had! Breath taking views, awesome food and the staff was Wonderful!!!
Truly the best all inclusive resort in the Caribbean. Beachfront accommodations, fine dining, spacious rooms, excellent staff. Highly recommend for couples, honeymooners and even those looking to book a wedding. There is no other resort that provides an ultimate romantic setting.
Loved the hotel and the entire experience. Very easy to get to from the airport ($20 taxi). The hotel sits on a private beach. Every room faces out towards the beach and its very secluded and quiet. The hotel was exactly what we were looking for as far as relaxing, quiet, and private. The food and service was great. I would definitely recommend it. The only outside tour we did was Captain Sean's boat tour. He is at the hotel most days advertising his tour or taking people out on the boat. It's a 4 hour boat trip around part of the island with snorkeling in the reef. Highly recommend it as well. The only down side was that the hotel does not have an ATM machine. You can use dollars throughout the island, but make sure to bring cash or get some a the airport.
You could not ask for a better location. The resort is small and located on a secluded beach. 90% of the folks were couples which made the stay quiet and peaceful. The free watersports were fantastic. We used the Hobie Cat, paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkeling. They also and wind surfing equipment and they give you free lessons for any of the gear. All these activities could be done right in the bay. The restaurants offered full menus for every meal and the food was very good. No wristbands, reservations, or long waits for tables. Live entertainment every night. Most of the staff were excellent. The only exceptions were some of the restaurant hostesses and waitresses who I am sure find it hard to display a smile with a never ending flow of hungry guests. But all-in-all the staff was great.
The staff at Galley Bay was very informative and catered to all of our need.
This Trip was nothing less than perfect. the Staff was perfect and Friendly and waited on us hand and foot. the Hotel was great and clean and room was perfect. the whole place was clean and up to par, only suggestions would be new bikes for the riding. we struggled getting the bikes to work but it was truly great. loved all the water sports and the staff.
Galley Bay exceeded our expectations. My wife and I traveled in January 2015 to celebrate her graduation from grad school. This was a perfect escape from the cold weather and spend a week in a tropical paradise. It almost seemed surreal with 80 deg F sunny weather, white sand, crystal clear water, butterflies, lizards and hermit crabs. We stayed in a room on the beach so you could walk right out your door to the ocean and hear the waves crash as you slept. It was a very relaxing experience and great customer service, food, and drinks.
The resort was very nice, clean and secure. However the restaurant situation left a lot to be desired. There are 2 restaurants and 1 walk up (burgers and stuff) included in your stay and 1 that is a $35.00 surcharge. One of the restaurants was closed 1/2 the time we were there, the walk up one was under renovation until 2 days before we left. The last one was open the whole time but the menu really didnt change much. Also, the hours of food service was like being in the military, you eat when they want not when you want. I have stayed at several all inclusive resorts and there was never any time food wasnt available even if it was just bar food. The bartenders were all excellent and did a better job keeping us informed then guest services did.
Great vacation for rest & relaxation!! The people are friendly a& helpful. The rooms are right on the beach & are immaculate. The food & drinks are adequate for an all inclusive. The beach & ocean are magnificent!! I would recommend for couples.
The resort staff at Galley Bay Resort and Spa made our honeymoon unforgettable. From bartenders and waitresses to the grounds crew, everyone greeted us each day with a smile. The food and drinks were delicious and high quality. The views are magnificent. Waterports staff are very helpful and give in depth tutorials for each item. Our Gaugin Cottage was quiet and peaceful with views of the nearby lagoon. Truly the experience of a lifetime.
One of the top resorts that I have been to. Very attentive staff. Great accomodations. Fantistic meals. No brainer. Will be there again next year, if not before. They make it easy for you. No hard decisions to make once you get there.
Superb setting; wonderful integration of the three first-class restaurants into the "beach". Staff thoroughly professional, friendly and helpful. Minor negatives: the "free" WiFi is very slow and undependable; a high-speed version costs extra. A bottle of water is $1. At an "all-inclusive" luxury resort? Still, undoubtedly one of the best of the many Caribbean resorts we've visited.
We recently stayed at Galley Bay in March of 2013. This resort is a beautful property with a gorgeous beach. It is a very quiet resort and not geared towards the sun and fun crowd. Very nice for couples and secluded. Food was fantastic and staff was mostly very friendly. Great stay for the value. There was no beach service and the pool was small, but nice overall. The live music at night is great and adds a lot to the experience. Needs some updated beach chairs and beds, but overall was very nice.
Great staff, good food, great staff, nice suite, great staff, fabulous beach, great staff, super atmosphere, great staff, no children and quiet, great staff. The theme is great staff!!
The hotel grounds are quite beautiful and the hotel it's self is very nice. We enjoyed eating our meals alfrisco. It is an adults only resort, but I believe it is not suited for young adults. The average age appeared to be 50.
Was as 3 star hotel not 4 as advertised
