Great location but old, outdated and smelly. A real disappointment.
Decent room with perfect beach view for the price
Beautiful property! We really enjoyed the lakefront access as well as the pool. Staff was very friendly. We really appreciated that it was pet friendly. Definitely a great option for future vacations in St. Ignace.
Great view. Nice rooms. For price. A lot To do in the area.
Lots of free parking, rooms were clean and well maintained. Clerk was friendly and helpful.
Excellent stay. Great location with superb views.
The hotel needed much up dating. We were told check in was to be at 3. Room wasn't ready until 6. Still not super clean. The room was outdated. It did have a nice view and the water pressure in the shower was good, except the tub didn't drain properly and you had to stand in ankle deep water the whole time. The light in the bathroom flickered but wouldn't turn on. Wouldn't go back there if you paid me!

A place that is banking on location but has not been updated for decades. I would not recommend unless there was nothing else left in town. Staff are very friendly. The building has AC units that struggle, internet that struggles, tiny televisions that struggle, and beds from yesteryear. Better than sleeping outside in lightening while attached to a metal pole!
The pictures that have been posted are beautiful, but the facility is a substandard. The breakfast provided was minimal and its all misleading.
Friendly staff, beach access, good location.
The property was right on lake Huron and the view was lovely. They have 2 fire pits to use right on the beach, if you have the time. But the beach is not private, being right off the parking lot and all the rooms overlooking you. They do have some basic playground equipment on the beach if you have little ones. The rooms were basic and not horrible for the UP. But there were some issues. There was a huge 1" gap in the screen that someone tried to screw shut. The huge number of dead bugs was just gross. You couldn't open the window to enjoy the lake cuz more bugs would need in the room. The shower was so hot, I couldn't put my head under the water. There was no way to turn it down. I warned the staff that this would be a terrible issue for children or older people with thin skin in particular. They said they would fix it. I would suggest never wallpapering a bathroom since it is just peeling. But the bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. Fridge worked well and the tv was fine. Beds were comfy and clean. I think they are changing to Wyndham and the staff is new and they will get better as they are able to invest in infrastructure.
About the only thing this place has going for it is the view and sitting on its own beach. It's very dated. The beds were very uncomfortable as were the pillows. They do have their own balconies facing the water tho. My kids got a kick out of throwing food to the seagulls and having them land on our balcony and making friends with them. Housekeeping probably needs fired; I lifted up the non-slip mat in the bathtub to give my kids a bath and there was black sludge coating the entire underside of it. I was horrified. Breakfast; they had nutri-grain bars or muffins. And coffee. Absolutely no juice or milk for the kids. Really didn't want to give my 6&8 yr olds coffee... But they do have fridges so bring your own drinks I would suggest.
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The view was great. But that is where it ends. The hotel needs allot work. Here is a list of issues: Musty, dirty, outdated, mattress terrible, carpet loose and dirty, soap and shampoo in packets, tv only had about 12 channels, and stairwell was nasty with dead bugs,
There were some problems with the room this stay. There was no hot water the first day of our visit, the tv volume kept going up and down on its own, the tv remote didn’t work well and the clock time was off and it’s the type that can’t be set. The staff was very friendly and as always you can’t beat the view.

Anonymous, all rooms were ready by check in time at 3 p.m. yesterday. Also, we appreciate your patience as we just purchased this property in April and are in our renovation period. Changes are continuing to be made as this is indeed an older property. Thank you!
