The location in downtown Springfield was fine. Water pressure in the shower was fine. I was never able to stay connected to the in-house internet. It kept dropping. The bath towels were not very absorbent and need to be replaced. There was no easily accessible stair entrance to the second floor location of the room and the elevator's interior was in need of some attention.

Beds were beyond serviceable. Floor was actually sticky. Ice machine didn’t work. Their maintenance said the elevator was scary

I'm sure in it's day it was a lovely place to stay. But the up keep has been lacking, we had no refrigerator or microwave. It was way to close to the railroad tracks. The people closest to us in the non smoking section, smoked outside all the time. No I did not say anything to anyone. Our stay was short and we will not be staying there again. No fault of the Inn but there was road construction all over down town making it impossible to navigate.

I liked everything i didn't dis like anything! Infact i paid for the same room this saturday $97.00

Room wasn't as clean as it could have been. Hard to get heat adjusted to be comfortable. There was one small shampoo bottle that had already been used. Room really needs to be updated. Old TV with poor reception.

We checked in late in the evening after a concert...go to get ice and both the ice machines were broken, tried to buy a cold soda out of the machine and it wouldnt take dollars...i would have loved to have known so i could have brought my own ice/cold beverages...behind the bed has candy and nastyness probably from back 10 years ago..and the tv in the bedroom is an old tube style and the top of the screen is going out..plus there was only one of the two batteries in the remote...the sign at the door said "no smoking" but that had been a lie because the place smelled horrible...it said guest wifi but there wasnt any...the room card said check out was at 12:00 pm but online says 11:00 am....when i went at checkout to explain my grievances the gentleman at the desk was too busy on the phone to talk to me...took my keycard and dismissed me

No Breakfast! Orbitz ad was wrong. Room was very large. But, needs deeper cleaning. Walls had cobwebs.

Overall it seemed clean, but we encountered 4 large dead beetles around the room on arrival. Also the shower supplies were used. The toilet backed up just as we were leaving. For some reason almost all the hotels were booked up for the night we were there, so we chose this based on decent reviews. We don't need anything fancy, but this was not very nice. It seemed safe though, and the other guest were pleasant.

You can’t beat the location. Price was good. It felt safe.

Had a one night stay in room 150. The room was small but adequate. It was clean and the bed we had was outstanding, very comfortable. There was no mini fridge but that is a minor inconvenience. Found the neighborhood to be safe and relatively quiet. There is an occasional train whistle directly behind us but nothing too obnoxious or constant. This is a budget motel so if you want all the extra's this is not the place for you. I liked it and would recommend it to anyone on a tight budget. Parking is not a problem at all and it is close to all the downtown attractions.

Mansion View Inn looks nice at 1st glance but once you enter the truth is quickly revealed. It's very dated and uncomfortable, not to mention my room contained broken furniture and inoperable electrical sockets. The vending area is across the compound in basically another building which makes this location somewhat cumbersome. The desk staff were pleasant but the housekeeping is in dire need of attention. Needless to say this was a last minute decision that I won't ever make again.

Hotel staff were all super friendly. The location was easy to find. But it's definitely in need of some TLC. Room was pretty ragged, beds were extremely firm, linens very lacking, and the lights in the restroom had that creepy click-click-flicker from a horror movie. Stained carpets... peeling wallpaper... you get the point. It suited the need for the time, but we will find other accommodations when we come back next year for the races.

The Hotel is accessible to downtown Springfield, clean, price of room is affordable, and staff is friendly and accessible. Only downside is that the Hotel is located right near the railroad tracks and can be very loud noise when the train is coming through at night! But I love to hear the sounds of the train and the tooting of the steam whistle as it goes through the towwn!!!

Easy check in and out, great price for the location.

Looking for a hotel in close proximity to the Springfield airport, The Mansion View In and Suites met the criteria at 3.5 miles for the airport. Being no stranger to the city of Springfield, we were comfortable with the downtown location of this hotel. The appearance of the building and the fact that it was directly across the street from the Governor's Mansion ( across from the rear of the mansion should have been recognized as an omen) signaled that the facility was well selected. The lobby was well appointed and appeared to communicate the essence of a better-than-average hotel. When the front desk clerk appeared (after a longer than reasonable delay), it was concerning that he was very casually dressed - I mistook him for a maintenance/repair man. Once registered, we proceeded to our room, whose association to the main lobby was solely the fact that they were located in the same structure. The only elevator servicing this 4 level facility is located in the middle of the building and is accessible only from the exterior parking lot. The rooms all open onto an exterior walkway and, unlike the hotel's façade, have not been updated in more years than I can even surmise. Since we had a 5:45 AM flight the next morning, we would be leaving the hotel around 4:00 AM. The neighborhood is questionable after dark (typical of most city downtown areas) and the hotel's parking lot was poorly lighted, with absolutely no security.

This hotel is located in the historic district, right across from the Executive Mansion. The facilities are old, but my room was clean and comfortable. It was exactly what I needed since I was in town for a convention, and was not staying in my room for long periods of time. The young man that checked me in was very pleasant. The location was close to the historic distance and walking distance to most of the sites. However, it is right on the edge of the historic section, and some of the nearby neighborhood outside of that area seemed a little sketchy. I didn't want to wander that far out of the neighborhood. Also, the hotel backs up to railroad tracks, and the train is very loud. I slept through it, but probably not a good location for light sleepers.

Friendly staff. Hotel rooms need updating but was clean. Good for a basic place to stay close to the downtown sites. Close to the tracks so bring ear plugs !
