Stayed with a different Days Inn before so was pleased when I saw that they are in the area where I needed to book a couple of nights while attending a course. Hotel smells really nice, is clean and reception is very friendly. Rooms are a good size but there was no lift and had a big cool box and a suitcase to get upstairs so had to leave the cool box downstairs while taking the suitcase upstairs. The wifi was non existent and used my phones 3G for the first night, second night while searching for something on the web the option to join the welcome break wifi popped up and all wifi issues was resolved immediately. There was no shower gel in the shower, the container was there but no soap or shampoo, luckily I had my own shampoo but didn't bring soap as you normally get soap when you stay at a hotel, used soap that was in the dispenser at the sink. The shower head need some attention as it is pouring down water and not spraying so almost feel like you may drown. All of this were small things to be honest... I will use Day's Inn again... it could maybe add a restaurant as the selection and price of food at the welcome break is absolutely crazy... £2.00 for a 500ml drink... can just imagine what the bill would be if a family had to feed their children from the station. But the hotel itself, really good and staff very friendly and accommodating.
Great value for money. Struggled to get into the bath for a shower, would like to see a walk-in shower with seat instead of bath but this is a problem for me so maybe not likely a problem for many others. Great location. The young lady on duty for my first evening was delightful and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
We needed a convenient, central location for 4 nights whilst we viewed houses for sale in a wide area to the right of the Peak District. The room was basic but quiet, clean and comfortable with good tea making facilities. The very reasonable B&B rate included either continental breakfast in your room or a voucher for the Harry Ramsden full English breakfast in the motorway service station. We opted for continental; there was plenty of choice and it was delivered at the time we specified, which was different each day. Unfortunately, due to a staff issue, they ran out of continental breakfast options so we had to take the alternative voucher on our final morning. This meant walking to the service station and eating a typical fry-up, sitting in a typical service station cafe. We would recommend the continental option - it was cheaper on paper but superior in quality. Having stayed in a Days Inn, you are given a discount if you book direct with any of their hotels in future.
You get what you pay for. Good for the price. Breakfast over priced Bed too soft Staff rarely on reception, had to wait, not all but most of time.
This hotel is in a handy location next to M1 but is still quiet; staff are friendly and helpful and rooms are comfortable and clean. There are fast food restaurants on site, but also a pub with home cooked food near by which staff recommended to us and we tried and enjoyed.
I like Days Inn. Stayed in a couple now. Friendly welcome from staff. This one offers continental breakfast (which I opted for) delivered to the room for about a fiver. Alternatively, you could opt for the full healthy option at Harry Ramsden's in the service area. Rooms basic, perhaps a little dated, but more than adequate. Quite a pleasant outlook despite being in a service area. Pebley inn is a short walk (via small access rd) and then short stretch of A618. Good pub, good beer, seemed popular. I only had some chips, but they were good. Good option if seeking an evening meal.
The room was clean and the bed was soft and I slept really well. The room had a tv and freeview which I hadn't expected so was happy as it kept my son entertained. The staff were so lovely. I got lost and called the desk for help and the girl was really friendly and happy to help. They were all full of smiles when I arrived too even though it was 11pm they seemed so happy to help. The only issue I had was that the weather was beautiful and that meant the room was very warm when we arrived. I opened the windows but it didn't help. There is no air conditioning or fans in the room, which for the price of the room I can understand, we had a cold shower before bed which helped us to sleep. I didn't call to reception as it was late and we were tired but they may have had a solution, I'm not sure. The staff were lovely the next day also, really friendly and the hotel is very close to all the restaurants at the services.
Comfortable, clean bed. Very friendly & helpful receptionist. Continental breakfast good value for money.
The staff at this hotel are friendly, helpful and professional, I travel and stay away a lot on business and I look forward to seeing this hotel during my travels as the staff are the best that I have come across. It may not be a Hotel du Vin, but if I had to choose to keep one or the other, I would keep this one, the staff make it my first choice.
The room was basic, but for £45 for a family room we can't complain. The receptionist when we checked in at 4.30pm on 13th May was lovely, and could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
