The Golden Bear Retreat is a perfect spot for a family vacation, featuring 3 bedrooms, hot tub and family room. Conveniently located in the Golden Bear/Montgomery Estates neighborhood with easy access to all of Tahoe's amenities.



Enjoy the great room and warm fireplace after a day playing in Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe Golf Course is a short drive away, also easy access to many popular hiking trails.



The Golden Bear Retreat is a 10 minute drive to Heavenly Ski Resort, the shops, entertainment and dining at the Heavenly Village and a short drive to the beaches and marinas of Lake Tahoe. Sierra At Tahoe is approximately 30 minutes away depending on road conditions and traffic.



This home features upstairs living, as you enter the front door and go upstairs there is a spacious great room accented by a gas fireplace, comfortable seating, kitchen, dining and a sunny deck with a gas bbq. The kitchen is well equipped for creating the family feast. There is a smart TV in the living room.

The primary bedroom with private en suite bathroom has a king bed, separate shower and Jacuzzi tub.

There is a full bath with shower located in the upstairs hallway.



The lower level of the home has a cozy family room with a flat screen TV connected to cable with the Spectrum Select package. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed that is a twin over a double bed. The third bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed (twin/twin).



There is access to the fenced backyard and the hot tub from the downstairs bedroom.

There is a ring doorbell with video on the entry stairs to the house.

The house does not have AC



Your dog is welcome but due to extra wear and tear on the property there will be a $50.00 a day pet fee, and only 2 dogs are allowed.



While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.

Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads.

This street is a primary plow so is done earlier than many others.

4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties.

Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries) Golden Bear Trail is a primary plow road.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire house. This includes the upstairs great room, which features a cozy fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area perfect for meals, and a deck with a gas BBQ for outdoor cooking. The primary bedroom is available, offering an en suite bathroom with a king-size bed and a Jacuzzi tub for relaxation. The upstairs hallway bathroom is also accessible. Downstairs, guests can enjoy the family room, complete with cable TV for entertainment. There are two additional bedrooms: one with a queen bed and a bunk bed, and the other with a double bed and a bunk bed. A full bathroom and a convenient laundry room are also located downstairs. Outside, guests can enjoy the fenced backyard. The hot tub is available for use from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, providing a perfect way to unwind. Please be aware that the garage is accessible to guests.

Perfect area

This house is located in a fantastic location close to many things but also far enough away to not feel like you’re in the middle of the city. The house is well-equipped with many utensils easy for cooking for a large group of friends or family. Having the master bedroom upstairs to separate yourself from the kids is also phenomenal

Easy, cute, nice place

Would recommend this place to stay! The property is as described. My family stayed here for a reunion. We had 2 dogs with us too. The kitchen is very big and has lots of space for cooking and food. There are plenty of spices and things to use to cook. Place was clean and plenty of towels. Easy check in and the garage is big. Fit 2 regular sized cars in there. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Make note the hot tub takes a while to get hot. Only thing I suggest to the property manager is to add water the hot tub and maybe clean it out if possible.

Our stay was a great one. Our family was happy with all. The garbage container was full to the brim we call the management and they had someone come out the next day and empty it so we could put all garbage in the container before we left.. communication was great. We would recommend this property.

It was unfortunate that we visited during the terrible wildfires, but when we do go back we would most definitely stay at the Golden Bear again!

The house comfortably fit the six of us. We each had our own room and the master bath was very nice. Living room/kitchen are well laid out for the group to all hang out before/during/after meals. The backyard is simple but great for our dog. Fully fenced in and plenty of room to run around!

It was perfect for our two households because together we had 6 kids with us and all under the age of 6. The bunk beds meant kids could all sleep together and the downstairs family area was their hub! Lots of games and puzzles to keep them busy while we got ourselves fancy for the wedding. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed for the large meals we were making. Hot tub was also a hit!

Awesome Family Rental!

The home on Golden Bear is centrally located and a short drive to downtown. Perfect setup for a family with kids or an extended family like us (Grandparents + Parents w/ kids). - we got to stay in the spacious Master Suite upstairs, Mom, Dad + 3 kids camped downstairs. Lots of beds and space to spread out yet come together in the open floor plan upstairs for meals, games or bar-b-que on the deck. We had dogs with us so having the fenced in backyard was great. A usable garage was also a plus. The house is comfortably furnished and has all the needed kitchen essentials yet not too fancy that you worry about the kids breaking anything. Cozy gas fireplace was nice on cool mornings! Would definitely recommend for an active family or extended family!

Excellent Vacation Property

The property was one of the better ones I have stayed at in Tahoe, that accepts dogs. I am a responsible dog owner, so we made sure that our dogs were well behaved and that we cleaned up after them. I always write in reviews for people to pick up after their dogs as not to ruin the chances of available properties for responsible dog owners. With that being said, someone with small dogs were there prior to us because we cleaned up after them in the backyard to protect our reservation and not ruin rentals for others as mentioned above. The house was clean, comfortable, stylish and in good condition. Some things appeared worn due to the wear and tear of being a rental property, but we were happy nonetheless. Check in was easy, instructions were clear, the location was great for our needs, and the yard was adequate for our large dogs. Our dogs were also comfortable and happy. The house is large and spacious. There were plenty of supplies available as well as kitchenware and utensils. Temperature control of the house was perfect and the gas fireplace was a nice addition. We loved it and would stay again as long as Tahoe continues to allow short stay rentals.

Great place!

This place was overall really clean and very nice. It was perfect for our weekend get-a-way. We plan on coming back and bringing our kiddos next time. Love that it has a fenced in backyard and the jacuzzi was a plus but it could use some more towels. The kitchen has everything you need. Thank you for providing such a nice place for us to relax.

I would book here again

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: During the booking we requested to see if it was possible to check in early and check out a little late, but got no response. Because we travel with kids and dog, the response would be nice gesture. When we got there, the floor was dirty. We only find out once our socks were all black and you can feel the stickiness on your bare feet. There was still garbage in the kitchen garbage bin. We end up having to clean the floor and took out the garbage before we even get to seat down. The sliding door on the first floor was broken, you couldn't close the door once it open, so we just left it close. In order for us to go outside, we have to use the bed room door. The previous guess didn't throw away the dog poop. They did however put the dog poop in the blue bag and just left it on the backyard. We contacted Pinnacle about our stay experience and they were able to allow use to check out late without charge and promise to reimburse partially for cleaning. Until now, after a few e-mail exchange, we still haven't see any partial reimbursement. Don't promise things if you are unable to fulfill your promise. I feels like we spend our weekend help cleaning up before and after our stay during our mini vacation. On a positive note, the living area and kitchen is really nice. You can walk around the kitchen without feeling crowed. The stair steps from the front door to the second floor can be hazard, because of the hard edge. They use tiles for the step, so be careful if your feet is wet.
