HOrrible room next to trash and all the hotel junk they had laying around. The sign on the pool said 9am to 9 pm and the lady yelled at another guest telling her that the pool was not open till 11 if this is true they really need to take the sign down . The people that run this motel we're very unprofessional they were suppose to have breakfast at 9am they didn't open till 9:18 people were upset one man had a job in town and was relying on eating there before work . The ladies that run the motel were smoking under are room and the smell was going into are room all day the side we were on was suppose to me non smoking .

No Air conditioning, room are small and stuff. Bathroom fixtures were broken, turn sink on and water sprays up and back at you. Bed saggy in middle and just uncomfortable!! Sheet were stained, I slept on top of comforter, room stayed 80+ degrees all night. No screens on windows.. Hotel charged a resort fee, sounded like a scam to me.

Clean, but very basic, budget room. Parking lot gets busy. Large pine cones everywhere, which may be a problem if it drops on your car. Person at the reception was helpful and gave us ground floor room when we requested at a last minute.

Free breakfast not exist, anybody clean the room, restroom with water problems. Broken blanket, disgusting shampoo... the worst place in the world.. not kidding

I stayed at this place for only one night and I had a very good experience. This is a great choice for what you paid for, considering my room turned out to be $38. I recommend this place!

The bottom line is that if your uptight and expecting a corporate hotel/motel expirence here you will be disappointed. However, if your an expirenced budget traveler with less hangups you likely won't be be let down. It's a hot shower and a warm room, you can save your money for the lift tickets.

Very basic hotel at a very basic price. Maid service is only every 3 days. Breakfast is only on the weekends. Rooms were clean and dated in good condition. We could hear the live music from the beer garden behind the hotel and that turned out to be a great little spot with good music every night (no music after 10pm). The location is great with the casinos about 2 blocks away. I felt safe walking around in the evenings.

The person working the front desk was rude and slow. She took several minutes to process a simple reservation. The room was tattered and dirty. There was no soap in the shower. The remote to the TV was broken. The Tv appeared to be at least 20 years old and received only 5 channels. The windows had no locks and there were people outside my window all hours of the night. This was probably the worst motel I have stayed in, even motels in mexico were better.

It was dissapointing. There were homeless people hanging around.

Staff was on top of everything, would have been nice if the pool was ready but there is always plenty to do in the area. This is a larger facility and well monitored for security and safety of guests.

Easy check in, quiet ......but there was no refrigerator or microwave

Rooms are quaint. Old school bathroom is well kept. TV has no guide and Internet doesn't work. Great if you are trying to be near the casinos but don't want to pay a lot.

The hotel is very old and rooms are not very clean. The heating cannot be controlled for each room. We had the thermostat setting to the lowest still the room temp was above 80 degrees at night.

Got to check in early - that was nice. Asked for and got a blow-dryer. Was told to return it to the desk instead of leaving it in the room (why?). Assigned upstairs room and not asked preference. Our room backed up to next-door motel and guests were loud all day and night. Vanity light over table did not work, and we tried with bulbs that did work. For most of the electrical outlets, only bottom plug worked. I could make coffee OR charge my phone - not both at same time. Same for microwave and fridge - only one can be plugged in at a time! Obvious prior roof leaks, and mold around one stained area. Water pressure was amazingly fast/hard, and temperature could get scalding hot. Water temperature was not always maintained when taking shower, and drain was very slow, so stood in dirty shower water. It was obvious that they're remodeling rooms and updating furniture from 1950s. Did not get coffee packet second day - had to ask. Only given one little bar of soap to share with sink and shower. TV reception was not too good on most channels. However, for the price and location, it's acceptable, and this is our typical experience here. We checked out on a Monday morning around 11 a.m. and office was closed, so had to go back upstairs and leave blow dryer in room. When we got back to our vehicle to leave (again), office was open - seriously!

Was quite, they're upgrading right now. Not too far to wake to all the fun. Room was very hot even without heater on but they came and fixed it. All and all not bad for 1/3 of the price of monteblu I mean really u r just sleeping there.

I've stated in older hotels in South Lake before, they are all pretty old, but usually okay. I thought I would try to save $30, and sadly it was not worth it. This was the only hotel I didn't feel comfortable taking my shoes off at. There was no AC, and the walls in the bathroom were rotten. The door was extremely difficult to open with the key, locking us out several times. There is no way to contact staff after hours to get back in. On a positive note, the maintenance couple that lives there is very friendly.

Great value for the price. Location is superb, close to pretty much everything.

Only good thing about this hotel is its location. Other than that it disparately needs an update. Rooms look like they haven't had anything done to them since the 60's. Old carpet, old, old bathroom (blue sink & toilet??), no clock, very small old tv, and no a/c. Needed a place for one night to attend a concert at Harvey's so fortunately did not spend much time at our hotel. They had a continental breakfast but we did go. Try to find another hotel near the same location if you can. We don't plan on going back.

Overall, a good stay. Rooms were clean and neat, staff very friendly and helpful. Room got extraordinarily hot, but daytime temperatures were in high 90s during our stay which isn't typical of Tahoe. Couldn't find any air conditioning or heater, which could be problematic.

We had to do a last minute booking and this place came in handy. Great place for the price you pay! The rooms were clean, location is good. We liked the location of this motel; it’s nice and calm and has more of a residential feel to it. There is not much vehicular movement in and around this place and hence you will not be disturbed by noises coming from the street. The rooms do not have an air conditioner, if you can’t live without an AC in summer, this place is not for you!
