First time visiting SXM and it did not disappoint! La Vista was beautiful. Our room was on the upper level and we had an amazing view of the bay. We spent our time at the lower pool by the beach. Great sunsets. The location was excellent, we walked most places and took the bus when needed. Highly recommend staying here!

Beach view and ocean view was great! Our room was 2 bedroom and 2 bath. Perfect amount of space for a mother/son trip. The front desk staff, especially Jesse was so lovely and looked out for us at every turn. Pelican Key is very convenient, you're in walking distance of a half-dozen restaurants, the casinos, bayside beach and carribean side beach (although its a bit rocky).

I wouldn’t necessarily call this property a resort, but it was still a nice place to stay. The grounds were beautiful, and it was clear the cottage we stayed in had been renovated, although it could have benefited from a deep cleaning. My only real complaint is that the restaurant onsite closes after lunch and is closed one day during the week. If you want a quick cup of coffee, you’ll have to walk to the nearest restaurant. It would be great if they offered a small self-service coffee station for guests. Also, the beach on the property isn’t really ideal for swimming, so you’ll need to walk to a nearby beach.
