Very quiet stay in the most breathtaking of places. The staff were so lovely, breakfast on the terrace was wonderful, and we even were given parting gifts when we left. Easy access to Sedona too. Thank you!

My wife and I spent two days in Sedona, AZ. We chose the Penrose B&B after a thorough research of the available lodging in the area. We were amazed at the unobstructed views of the red canyon formations from our room’s balcony. They were breathtaking. The balcony was ample enough to accommodate sitting area, which we utilized for our sunset views. The host Christy was gracious, and runs a fabulous B&B. They offer a small fridge in the common areas full of a variety of beverages to include Starbucks cold coffee drinks, let’s not forget the delightful snacks, and daily nightly fresh baked treats. Breakfast was well prepared, delicious, and met or exceeded the usual B&B fare. The room was well maintained, comfortable bed, good AC. Plenty of onsite parking. We loved the fact the B&B was located within the Village of Oak Creek, a short car ride to Sedona. There are plenty of restaurants and activities within a short distance from the B&B. Best, it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Sedona, AZ, with its accompanying traffic through town. If one is traveling through the Sedona AZ area, the Penrose B&B is truly a must for your stay.

Very nice room and bath. Very private. Very quiet. Beautiful patio. Amazing vistas of Sedona's red rock mountains. Excellent food and wonderful staff. I will visit this B&B again. Hiking the stunning red rock trails will give you memories you will never forget.

This B&B was wonderful. Stunning, million dollar views, The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. But the true highlight were the owners, Whitney and Christie, and their staff, Maria and Lisa. The breakfast was so delicious and beautifully prepared. So above and beyond any B&B we have stayed at. Fresh complimentary snacks/coffee/beverages, and homemade treats, It is centrally located to many trails and sights. Top class. We will be back. We will bring friends.

We only stayed one night but Whitney was so gracious when we arrived; he took the time to go over hike suggestions. The next day, we were rushed to leave for a jeep excursion but Maria made sure our breakfast was ready for us so we could leave on time. The breakfast was EXCELLENT. Great location. I highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed in the Kokopelli room for three nights before Easter. Everything was perfect. The views from the room are incredible--there are big windows and a long balcony overlooking the redrocks and all of sedona. Breakfast each morning was delicious--was served in a dining area when it was a little too cold outside, and a sunny patio when the weather was nicer. It was also nice to be a little bit outside of the busyness of the town of sedona. It was completely peaceful and beautiful here. Highly recommend!

The Mrs. and I traveled here earlier in March, we were blown away by how much we enjoyed our stay. We'll be back for sure. The Pros: Just right outside the rooms are some gorgeous views of the red rocks. The breakfasts were fantastic. Drinks and snacks that you can grab all day (including baked goods at night) were completely a bonus. Owners and staff were incredibly friendly. Common areas are really nice and clean. Bedroom was nice, the DirecTV was great to have at night. They have binders full of suggestions for hiking, restaurants, and activities nearby. Great little area. The Cons: I'm really stretching here. If you book here, you already probably know you're about 15 minutes away from downtown Sedona. That was the only downside, but was completely worth it.

What a wonderful stay and amazing hosts! The inn keepers were attentive to our needs and offered much generosity and recommendations for the local area. The warm 2 course breakfast each morning was delicious and custom to our dietary needs. It is within walking distance of Bell Rock and other amazing trails. The rooms have amazing views with balconies. The rooms and ground were very clean! Don’t miss out if you are looking for a quaint private stay at a B&B in Sedona!

Our stay of four nights was enjoyable and we’re glad we chose the Penrose. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was different every day and delicious. They also accommodated a somewhat early departure breakfast the last day which was appreciated. The Penrose is not in Sedona proper; it south several miles in the Village of Oak Creek. The setting up against the red rocks on the north side of the Village was stunning. If possible, choose the Cococino room on the east side of the second floor. The windows and deck have sweeping views of the area, something you’ll appreciate from sunrise to sunset. Blackout blinds prevent a rude awakening in the AM. Only gripe about our room was a bed smaller and harder than what we’re used to. If you’re over 6’ tall or need super soft beds, it’ll be very challenging. The bathroom was fine and featured a shower for two looking out onto the red rocks though if you shower at night you’ll provide a chest down show for anyone in their small parking lot. Hey, loosen up and go for it! You’ll never see the other guests again unless you’re staying with your parents. Overall, a great place to be based for a visit to Sedona and the surrounding area. We even received parting gifts of T-shirts of our choice when leaving. That was a very nice touch. Very much recommended. Cheers!

I can't add much to what already has already been said about this beautiful B&B nestled at the foot of Bell Rock in Oak Creek outside of Sedona. We stayed a week in the Yavapai room on the first floor with the vista of the Bell Rock staring at us like a postcard. When the sun hit the rocks at sunset you just stared in amazement. Breakfasts were wonderful - my wife is gluten-free and they were able to accommodate her needs. Ever morning's meal was a different delight - poached fruit, pumpkin french toast, fritattas and more. Marge was a terrific and creative chef. Side trips to Jerome, the Grand Canyon, the Verde Canyon railroad and Montuzema Castle plus a Pink Jeep tour through the Broken Arrow trail made this the most memorable vacation we've ever had. The nice little touches in the room along with the friendly staff made our stay peaceful after a busy day. One thing we found out the hard way is that everything closes up during the week at 9 PM, so if you're late eaters be aware of that (of course we had to work our meals around watching the Red Sox win the World Series - we had that going for us!). Marge was nice enough to leave us some scones for our trip to the Grand Canyon since we had to leave before Breakfast. Whitney was a wonderful host and the T-shirt gift at the end was a nice touch. This is definitely worth the price! We'd definitely stay here again if we ever come back to this oasis in the middle of the Arizona desert.
