Our overnight stay at the Residence Inn in Lynnwood was quite enjoyable. The room was large with a full kitchen and a comfortable living space area with a couch and TV. The king-size bed was comfortable and the tub/shower was spacious. We checked in at 10:30PM with no problems and were already relaxing in bed by 11:00PM. The property was very full, based on all the cars parked there but it was quiet so that was good. The continental breakfast was very good. Eggs, sausages, oatmeal, fruit, waffle maker, coffee, everything you need to have a great meal and be well-fed for the rest of your day. I really appreciate hotels with complimentary continental breakfasts because it saves us money and we don't have to rush to check-out, go somewhere else and wait for a table for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again when we come through Lynnwood.
The Residence Inn is about twenty miles North of Seattle just North of the Alderwood Mall. The property contains multiple building containing one and two bedrooms suites. The staff is outstanding. The suites have plenty of room. The Penthouse suites have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and three televisions. The night stands had three large deep drawers. There is a full dresser. There is free breakfast buffet every morning. The layout is well setup with two separate toaster and two separate waffle makers. The staff keeps the tables clean and makes sure all the foods are well stocked. The Inn provides location transportation to the mall or other local areas. There is an outside pool basketball/tennis court and a gym inside.
Pros: friendly staff; huge suites that are very clean; quiet A/C; very good complimentary breakfast and evening reception "goodies." Cons: Although the suite we were in #1411 was lovely, it felt cave-like as it was rather dark; noisy footsteps from upstairs suite; pricey during the week.
Excellent location. Walking distance to mall, dining and shopping. Front desk and staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Khadijah, the breakfast lady, does a wonderful job keeping the food fresh with a pleasant smile and always makes us feel like we are at home. The Ladies cleaning our room are pleasant and do a wonderful job. As a Marriott Platinum member, I strongly recommend this hotel.
I haven't checked out yet but am compelled to write. I arrived for one night and while on the surface things looked ok, you can tell a lot about a hotel by the bathroom floor. When I closed the door I found a pile of hairs accumulated behind the door. Clearly nobody cleans there so you have to wonder what else they are not cleaning. Minutes later I found out. In the shower there was (still is) a used washcloth hanging over the top of the shower curtain. It's been there for some time. I do 60-80 hotel nights per year. Things like this show the hotel isn't well cleaned and that nobody is checking to see if the cleaners are doing their job. I'm putting this on the list of those never to come back to. It's just gross.
We stayed here for a week and I would say we had mixed emotions overall. There was a lot to like - we really enjoyed the size of the room, the full kitchen, the events M-W night that included snacks and full meals some nights, as well as drinks. The breakfast was also good. The staff was a mixed bag. The man who checked us in was not especially friendly and acted less than accomodating as far as explaining the room options, getting it ready for us to check-in and answering general questions about the property and the area. Other staff members were more friendly and offered information about things to do in the area and were very kind about giving us a later check-out time on our last time. Being that the breakfast is a buffet, there were some concerns over cleanliness. Some one found hair in their eggs on one of the mornings and the way it was handled created a scene instead of just offering a remedy. We wanted to go in the pool one afternoon/evening but found it dirty and unkempt. There were visible hair clumps and other dirt and debris floating around the pool which turned us off from going in for a relaxing dip. The housekeeping was also quite aggressive about needing to get in to clean the room by a certain time when I was trying to get some work done in the room. It seemed like this was her fault, but that management was holding her to a certain schedule. If these issues would be addressed, I would say we would be happy to stay there again. Just don't go expecting top-notch amenities comparable with other Marriott properties.
Stayed three nights visiting family and will make this our place on visits. Very nice room and great location. Kitchen was well equipped and plenty of room to spread out. Breakfast was good with a decent variety of options. Pool is small but well kept. Trees surround the property and give it "homey" type environment. Rate is not cheap but fair for the area. Wireless worked great. Overall very good.
This Residence Inn is situated away from the major streets, so the hotel (at least our room) was fairly quiet at night. The beds were also comfy, which made a very restful night. There are also Costco and H Mart (a Korean grocer) nearby, perfect for longer stays.
Always clean, quiet. Close to shopping, freeways. Breakfast good. Awesome staff. Room 512 needs a new hot water tank - barely get through one shower! Costco, Kohl's, Target, and Mall - all next door! I stay here anytime in in the area.
We had a pipe burst in our home and we have been living at the Residence Inn Seattle for over two months now. We absolutely love the friendly staff. Our room is 988 sq feet with a bedroom downstairs plus a large loft king bed upstairs and two bath. We have two Siberian huskies, and the staff has been very accommodating to the dogs. I love flowers and I was even allowed to put pots out on the deck in front of our room with flowers! The rooms are all spacious and very clean. I travel a lot and what stands out the most about this hotel is the staff. I have yet to meet a single staff member that is ever unhappy.
