Very comfortable room, kind friendly staff, great breakfast.

We loved the older western architecture of the hotel and the new amenities and updates in the rooms - very clean! This was a great place to stay, within walking distance of all that we wanted to see in downtown Seattle.

pros = location was close enough to walk to a lot of things to do, staff was friendly enough and in the evening they put cookies out rooms were clean cons = no gym or work out facility in hotel if you get room in front of building be ready for street noise traffic , etc. the included breakfast is vast but the meat and egg part is microwaved jimmy dean sandwiches it is downtown so large amount of homeless that ask for money

Nice location near the waterfront, and city hub. It turns out to be a nice location if you are traveling on Amtrak. Just a 10 minute walk and your there. The rooms are simple but adequate. because of the age of the hotel it does seem a little nostalgic

Perfect location for the game! Parking was a breeze.

Loved the old hotel feel, big staircase (but also a modern elevator!) and wood trim, etc. Great location - walked to the Mariner's game!

Check in and check out were a breeze. This location is very centrally located and makes it an easy walk to Pikes Place Market, the Space Needle, sports events, and numerous restaurants/shopping. I would recommend this hotel to someone looking for a great price and a great location. The area comes with a few "special" characters(mostly homeless, but harmless), but they won't bother you.

Suggestion grab bars would be helpful in the shower. Thanks

We were transiting through Seattle, arriving on the ferry from Bremerton and heading to the airport the next day. This hotel was perfectly situated as a short walk from the ferry terminal and the light rail, and close enough to Pike's Market to be able to walk down for breakfast. We also found a late-night Mediterranean near by, which was excellent. The facility itself was perfectly nice, had a nice "antique" charm to it without feeling old or run down. Would certainly recommend it for the area.

Nice hotel. Very clean and convenient to Seattle attractions. Not the best neighborhood (run down and dirty) and very close to an elevated highway (noisy).

Very helpful and kind staff not fancy but much character Staff were exceptional

Great location with football, soccer, baseball stadiums and exhibition halls very close. Very walkable from Amtrak and Sounder trains.

great location, great staff, clean, great breakfase

they let us check-in early b/c our room was available and eat the complimentary breakfast b/c we got there at 10a.m. which was very nice of them. the front desk answered all questions i had and always had a good attitude. the room was cleaned even though we didnt need it and when i asked for extra shampoo etc. it wasnt a problem. close to the sea-tac train and bus routes so u really dont need a car to get around and probably less hassle to use public transportation. i loved the free breakfast. the hotel and staff was fantastic. i would love to come back if i can afford it. i usually go for cheaper hotels but this one was very nice & not too pricey. i have no complaints.

The only negative thing I can say is that our fancy coffee maker in the room did not work. But my husband easily survived by having his morning coffee downstairs with the Continential breakfast. The rooms are clean and lovely. Our daughters' room was bigger than ours so if you need more room you can request a big room. I enjoyed the history of the hotel ( and how it was so close to Pioneer Square, the Underground Tour, several good restaurants, the harbor, and more shops and good restaurants, the Aquarium, antique stores, and a wonderful two story toy store). I enjoyed letting my imagination run wild as I wondered what sorts of exciting people had used the beautful wooden staircase in the hotel. (I thought this as I went down, I used the elevator to go up.) The staff was very helpful and attentive. If we return we will stay there again and I am recommending it to my friends. OH, good parking gargage too.

parking lot is far from the hotel. about 2 block away. very inconvenient. staff was not kind. breakfast was nothing special.

Walking distance to Safeco Field, great staff & Pho Restuarant next door!

Hotel was very nice and located in a nice area

Once we actually FOUND the hotel, it was a very nice stay. The room was clean, housekeeping came by every night to ask if we needed more towels. The parking was a whole situation in itself, but the staff was very knowledgable about the surrounding parking areas and we parked public for two nights and then were able to get a spot in their garage for the last night. The continental breakfast was the best one I've had in a while. The hotel was a good location to go walking around downtown Seattle. The computer access was good too.

Nice sized room. We went shopping and toured the underground city and Pike Place market and we walked everywhere as everything was within a few blocks. The continental breakfast was crowded and waffles were slow going as they only had one waffle maker (go early if you don't want to wait). Staff were friendly and helpful and provided umbrellas! Parking in their lot runs you $20/night, but after walking around we found several garages for $16/night. All in all a good experience.
