Conveniently located off the highway. Rooms are updated and in great condition. Clean bathrooms and linens. Very friendly staff. Overall pleasant experience. Extremely affordable .one of the better hotels in Savannah area
We were planning on visiting Savannah for two days April 12 through April 14. We contacted the owner about canceling our reservation two days in advance due to a medical emergency that involved a placement of my daughter in a nursing home facility who has early onset Alzheimer’s. The owner told me my reservation was noncancelable which I was unaware when I made the reservation over the phone. Do you owner was very rude I could care less about customer service or emergency problems that may occur for travelers. I’m sure the facility is a reflection of this owners poor attitude.
I booked through Priceline, which charged my credit card, only to arrive to the site and was told “ No Vacancy”. They blamed Priceline. Priceline stated the hotel allowed an overbook and didn’t communicate. By the way, the picture on this website is not what the motel actually look like. Will never stay there!
I have stayed in this hotel 3 out of 7 days each week for this month now. It's cheap and clean. Front desk people are very accomodating and helpful. Early checkin and late checkout was very helpful since I work nights. I would still stay here if I'm coming back to Savannah area.
Stayed here because it was less expensive than other hotels in the area (Savannah had a gymnastics championship in town that was driving hotels rates up in the area), and because it's TA rating wasn't too bad (although there were only 13 reviews total). It was not worth it. Although the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, the room smelled strongly of smoke. The window in the room opened fully, which I like, but the screen had been punched out and left in tatters so it could not be left open as the bugs would enter (killed three mosquitoes even though it was still early March). There was one cushioned chair in the room, which at first glance looked ok, but later found to be seriously stained. The desk chair also was disgustingly stained, and also wouldn't stay upright, but kept falling over to the side when sat on. As I left for dinner, I asked the manager if it could be swapped out and was told that they'd do so in a few minutes, but it was unchanged when I returned. The sheets seemed like they had been laundered, but were yellowish with age along the sides, and the towels had hairs embedded in the fabric. When the heat came on, the wall HVAC unit smelled terrible and when I checked the filters, I found that some kind of goo had been spilled into them. The blackout drapes were broken on one side so they could not be closed on the right. The walls were dirty, and in general the room was terribly scratched, scraped, dented, rusted, and generally run down. I was tempted to sleep in my car but ended up sleeping in my sleeping bag on the bed.
I had a great experience staying at this location with my family. It was very peaceful and the hotel was very clean. We stayed only for a night, however I'd definitely stay there again and recommend staying there to anyone.
This hotel is not the Ritz...or even the. Holiday Inn Express...but it is very affordable, very clean, very safe...all important things to me. There is a washer and dryer for customers to use...the rooms are clean and newly restored...the hotel is non smoking so I did not have to smell cigarettes..the owners were on premises and will do everything they can do to make the customer happy. The breakfast room is also new, and a nice hot breakfast is included ! The location is easily accessible to Southside as well as Pooler, and the Truman Parkway... I will definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for one night on our way to Orlando. I know it was recently renovated and it was very nicely done. Check in was very smooth. I could get very nit picky, like how the soap in the bathroom was very obviously just thrown onto the counter, the door leading outside that was right next to our room was unlocked the entire night, and the breakfast was subpar, but it was a nice place to stay for one night. The bed was comfortable, our room was clean, and I liked the hardwood floors in the rooms but with a little bit more work, this hotel could be great.
I was traveling with my family to North Carolina and stayed at the Hotel. When I got inside the office I was amazed by the way it looked. The office was big and had beautiful pictures of Savannah. The rooms were recently renovated and looked great. The bed was really comfortable and had fridge and microwave in it. I would highly recommend this hotel it’s cheap and has great rooms, staff, and the front lobby
We arrived late afternoon and checked into our room. Went to use the toilet and found that it was clogged. Spoke to the front desk and the owner came up to unclog it which he did after 10-15 minutes. As it was getting dark we found that one of the bedside lights was burned out. Tried to use the safe in the room only to find out that it too was broken. We then went out to dinner. the next morning we went to make coffee in the coffee maker only to find out that the dispenser cup for the coffee was missing. The included breakfast was not very good and there were only three small tables at which to sit. So we had to eat standing up at the counter. We checked out and left. The next night as I was unpacking my overnight night bag I found that I was missing $300.00 from the bag. Since it was locked in my car all day the only place for it to go missing was at the Rodeway Inn. Needless to say we will never use this property again or suggest it to our friends who travel to Florida a lot as we do.
