We decided to stay at Holiday Inn because we were in Saskatoon shopping for Bridesmaid dresses and this hotel was the only one that offered accommodations for 6 adults in a room. We called ahead to see if we could check in early and the hotel offered us a complimentary upgrade to the penthouse suite. Oh my gosh! It was GORGEOUS! Huge windows, full kitchen, two tvs, huge bathroom. We decided since we had such a large room we might as well order room service, which was quick, delicious, and affordable. The penthouse suite would be perfect if you were wanting to do a stagette or an over the top birthday party. Highly recommend!

My family and I recently stayed 3 nights in room 604 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in October 2017, and the following is my review of my stay at this hotel. A little background on myself: Years ago my workplace had put out an advisory for everyone to check for bedbugs while travelling as there were many reports of people coming home with bedbugs in my hometown. Since then, to protect my family, I started checking my rooms for bedbugs before staying in them using the techniques outlined by Molecular Biologist David Cain and his YouTube videos on how to search for bedbugs. So far I’ve been lucky and found them five times on my vacations prior to staying in a hotel room, and I have been very fortunate not to have taken any home with me. Since then I had decided to document all of my stays in hopes that others including myself would have a better picture on how safe and clean my experience was. My intention is not to put down the hotel in anyway, but really to document my personal experiences staying there. So please don’t be offended… Review cont'd: On a cleanliness scale, I rate my room a 7/10, and I keep it at a “medium” bedbug risk rating. I give it a medium rating because it is a high-traffic hotel and a lot of people circulating in there because of it’s close location to downtown Saskatoon. A recent TV show documentary called Marketplace on CBC Canada, they noted that the Holiday Inn chain had good ratings in cleanliness, so I had very high expectations in my room. But what ended up happening while inspecting was that, I had to change my sheets because of washed-in stains, and the area under and behind the bed mattresses was very unclean and needs to be vacuumed. I found a past tenant’s used sock, pieces of old chocolate, and a very old non-circulated $20 bill behind my mattress which indicated to me that has never been cleaned behind there. I was under the impression that I was supposed to get a walk-in shower in my washroom, which I didn’t get. The showerhead in the tub was broken and they had no maintenance staff available to come in until the following day, which was very disappointing. However, the washroom renovation of a sliding door is an excellent feature in a crappy washroom arrangement. I think all other hotel chains out there should take notes on this sliding door renovation, cause this hotel definitely does it right! More on the plus side, the mattresses on the sofabed was older and worn, however was very comfortable to sleep in. I would almost say it was one of the more comfortable sofa mattresses to sleep in. Room arrangement was wonderful having room in a T-like configuration, and having a big desk area was a plus. And the Filipina cleaning staff was excellent, I mean top-notch! Even comparable to some of the higher end Marriot Hotels that I have stayed in the past. The lobby and restaurant area is excellent, and even a wonderful place to hang out. The parkade is one of the best and cleanest I’ve seen, however it has a low 6’6’’ restriction so no tall trucks or SUVs can park in there. Pros: -My search turned up bed bug free! -sofabed mattress comfortable -Top-notch Filipina housekeeping staff! -Beautiful overall hotel -Best location relative to TCU place and Midtown Plaza -Did not see one Maple Bug in or around the hotel Cons: -sheets were a little unclean -Area behind bed mattress was so unclean I found money in it -Showerhead was broken -feel I didn’t get the walk-in shower as advertised online My overall impression: a bit pricey value, but best location relative to TCU place and Midtown Plaza. I noticed that Saskatoon has a Maple bug infestation problem in almost every place I visited, however I was impressed to say that I did not see a single maple bug in the Holiday Inn hotel! I’d definitely stay here again in the future.

A friendly welcome at reception is always a great way to start your stay! The central location of this property makes getting anywhere in the city easy. Clean, modern rooms with in room coffee and tea, microwave and mini fridge. Comfortable beds and nice linens. You can’t go wrong choosing the Holiday Inn!

They have parking lot built into the hotel. they have buffet style breakfast with real bacon, sausages, scrabbled eggs, fruit. Or you can ask for eggs done your way. Rooms have good WiFi. Close to down town, across the street from, YMCA, Hilton, conference center.

The Holiday Inn on Pacific Ave is the best hotel in Saskatchewan (and Alberta) and my favourite hotel to stay at. The hotel provides a level of service that should be a model to others. I frequently stay here for business and the experience is always perfect. This is led by the amazing friendly service always provided by Lisa at the front desk. Checking in with Lisa exemplifies the great experience here. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The location is perfect as it is right downtown so within walking distance of all the best things to see in Saskatoon. The breakfast experience served in the hotel restaurant exceeds any other hotel I have stayed at. The variety of options at both the cold and hot stations is perfect. Kaylee always provides friendly and quick service here at breakfast. Also great service and options in the restaurant/lounge in the evening. Hotel also feels safe and the inside parking is secure and convenient. This hotel is exceptional and I highly recommend. Other hotels should look to this one as a model.

Rooms are modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. This is relatively new hotel that is is in great shape, and it is abundantly evident staff take great care and pride in caring for it. The food here is excellent. My recommendation: get a custom omelet for breakfast, mine was two eggs and all the veggies. I also had dinner twice in the bar (adjacent to the dining room) and it was great food and great value. Drinks were also quite reasonably priced. I was attending a two day conference at the hotel with catering, and the food and service was praised by every one. Conference facilities were flawless. This is now my go-to hotel in Saskatoon! My one complaint: I would prefer to have liquid soap and shower gel in the room, as the water in Saskatoon is a little hard for bar soap...

I messed up my reservation dates, but the hotel was able to accommodate me. Check in was easy & efficient, despite my mess up. Rooms were very clean. Didn't eat at the restaurant, but I liked the kiosk by the front desk where you could buy snacks or a quick breakfast. My kid bought some super expensive beef jerky there though, so avoid that!

I have been using this hotel approx. 8 times per year for the past 4 years. Every time it has been amazing. The staff are absolutely top notch. The amenities are stylish and clean. They loan out guitars and bicycles - what more do you want. The food is outstanding. The rate is high, but the value is exceptional. I have been upgraded to the penthouse numerous times and let me tell you it is AMAZING. I have hosted small parties, and often have guests over and I've received no complaints or concerns from the staff. The only thing is the espresso machine in the lobby is often out of service, ah well I'll survive :) This really is my favorite hotel.

This hotel is always clean and comfortable. The rate is reasonable for downtown. We have never used the pool. The secured parkade is a huge feature. The worst part is the stairs should you decide to use them. They are dark and drab. The elevators are super fast though.

Great location and very well appointed rooms made our stay in Saskatoon great after driving for pretty much 4 days straight. We were pleasantly surprised there were rooms available as it seemed very busy around town. The courteous staff gave us some tips for spots to check out near the hotel including a great breakfast/brunch place nearby. Stayed May 2016.
