Excellent food. Best chicken wings ever. Coke Cola Bar-B-Que. Enjoyed while watching sunset.
It was the best stay and staff was amazing definitely will be going back
The room had what appeared to be mold above the door near the bathroom and the tub took several hours to drain after a shower. Told maintenance and the just used a wet vacuum to get the water out but it didn’t take care of the problem
It’s was clean. Water smelled and drinks were horrible! But the people were so very nice and helpful.
View was great and staff was very polite and helpful
Nice ocean view clean room. Comfy bed friendly staff
Very nice location but bathtub dirty. I asked front desk to clean bathtub and it was never done.
Showing signs of age While the location is perfect and the staff is wonderful, this hotel needs to be updated. Our gulf view room had a very small bathroom, with very problems. The doorknob on the inside was loose as were the toilet tissue holder and seat. This was our second stay in 2 months so perhaps this time, we were unlucky and got a room with several issues.
Rude employees at this hotel will not be staying at a holiday inn again
Great hotel with great view of the Gulf. We enjoyed our stay here since it was directly across from the beach and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants in St Armands. Staff was very friendly and shuttle bus into town was a nice plus. Only complaints were TV reception was not very good and WIFI was weak at times.
not crazy about the food but there are so many nice places to eat near by that it didn't matter. Beach TERRIFFIC!
Great stay, staff very friendly, great location, we will be back....
I lowballed this property because the shower/tub unit presents a safety hazard. Apparently the tub of this aged property has been retrofitted with a soft plastic liner The floor of the tub is buckled along its length and spongy to the step. As you step about in the tub, the floor creates a balance threat. There was no hand rail along the length of the enclosure. The one rail at the end of the enclosure, opposite to the water supply, was useful only for getting in/out, not providing a point of reference as one shampoos and rinses. The bathroom offered another issue. The towel rack was one rod on the far adjacent wall from the shower. There was no hanger within reach of the shower, necessitating a wet/dripping excursion from the shower to the towel rod which held all the towels. There was no hand towel holder, leaving an ugly patch that I presume was the location of an earlier one. The hand towel was clumped among the other towels on the above mentioned single rod. On the counter top, there was no soap dish. We used a plastic display tray after we emptied the shampoo/conditioner/lotion/message card, not wanting to leave the soap on the countertop. The cleaner left our soap bar on the counter top the 1st cleaning day. We shifted to a clean face cloth as an alternative. One morning, we heard a loud angry exchange between two cleaners just outside our door. There is a top floor dining area that offers a panoramic view of the ocean, for diners only. No other view for guests.
great location, good staff, comfy bed, only down side was the thin walls like most chain hotels.
If you want to be close to the ocean and walking distance to St. Armand's Circle this is the hotel for you. Beach is just across the street and St. Armand's Circle 0.5 mile easy walk with benches along the way if you need to rest. Hotel staff are very pleasant. Beds firmer than we like but slept pretty well none the less. Shower / Tub was a pop in type. It felt like at any time you might pop through which was uncomfortable ( we didn't) Restaurant was beautiful with total view of the beach and ocean. Breakfast was good and buffet reasonable. Service for us was poor with the server not stopping by unless we asked once order was placed. Due to more than 6 they automatically added a 20 % tip even though the tables bill was split into 3 groups. two of the three in our group got the buffet which typically would not warrant 20%. I certainly would not have tipped 20% due to lack of service but as our table had greater than 6 not choice. I would stay again for location but also would consider others nearby.
