Fabulous fabulous views and very clean rooms. We stayed a few nights in the very small studio which was incredibly noisy as you are under the stair walkway and an additional few nights in the double room which had a million dollar balcony view. Fantastic location but a few negatives- the owner was a little slow to respond, noisy restaurant above, rooms were not sound proofed and no water pressure. Also bare in mind the small hot tub is a shared facility...
The place is just perfect, you would go there and wouldn't need to leave the area or pay more to go to another hotel in oia, best location with sunset view you can see the whole island from the balcony or pool, on a street full of the best restaurants and keep on walking you'll be in fira where its downtown. I stayed there for 2 nights, spent 3 days there with no need to leave it while we had a car so really there was no need to rent one. Would definitely stay there again when i'm back.
What a great place to stay...view was phenomenal we had someone meet us at the airport. Gentleman met us the the villas when we arrived there at 11:00 pm..very helpful..someone had complained about the shower and I will agree not very strong but I managed to get clean sooooo..all in all a great place to stay...
While mirabo villas is in an amazing position boasting incredible views and very close to good shops, restaurants and the beautiful wedding location "Dana villas" the room itself has a lot to be desired the bed was very stiff and it had terrible sheets, the shower is the WORST! I have ever used and I've done a lot of traveling through third world countries. While it's undeniably in a brilliant location luxury it is not!
Santorini is an amazing place as you can tell by the photographs. Don't think anyone can take a bad one! So the view is what you pay for & it really is worth it to stay here on the caldera. I spent ages reading reviews and trying to decide whether to pay the extra & stay on this side & was really glad we did. Very happy with the location, up the hill a bit but close enough to everything. Mirabo is away from the main street & so everywhere you go is up or down steps. Close by though are plenty of places to eat, including restaurants & even a souvalaki/kebab stall very close by which is a good & cheap when its just too hard to leave the view. There is also a small well stocked shop not even 50 metres away. There are 3 apartments in this block. We had the 2 bedroom suite, one up the steep narrow stairs & the other down. Both bedrooms were fine with nice big comfortable beds. Very little storage in the bedrooms though. Balcony upstairs was nice but a bit small. Both bathrooms were downstairs (one ensuite) & as stated in other reviews, water pressure wasn't good and the same with the internet. In our opinion, we were in a 'cave' so they weren't really an issue-2 small things which we could easily live with when looking at the view. The small spa was cold but we did use it a few times as it was so nice to sit in & look over the view. No privacy there with people walking past to take pictures of our view. Again, not an issue for us. Although manager not on site, we had a couple of minor issue we had to call him about & he was there within 15 minutes each time. Would stay here again if I came to Santorinin
We arrived on a late flight via Athens from Croatia. Had an issue with the rental car and then struggled with locating the Mirabo. We knew the general location, but there were absolutely no signs to help us know where off the main road it would be. After asking 3 people (first two had not heard of Mirabo, which did not surprise us, since we have had this problem before with other places). If the directions would have provided some landmarks to help that would have been great. Also, at the airport they was a transport service waiting which we did not request. Not sure if we were charged for it, since we did not use it (we had a rental car). Arrival at about 10:30 PM discovered no one was there to check us in. Thankfully we did have a cell phone that worked in Greece or we would have had to struggle with calling. Person arrived after about 15 minutes and checked us in. This would not have been a problem if our flight had been late and our arrival time was unknown, but that was not the case. There should have been someone there. After checking in we found the Villa to be great. It was ideal for two couples and loved the two decks, especially the upper one with a fantastic view. For having a caldera view getting to it did not have a ton of steps, which can be a challenge with luggage. Only thing we would improve on inside the Villa was to have the upstairs bedroom have an ensuite bathroom. We had to go downstairs and use that one.
Excellent place to be. Lovely view if Thira, the crater, the city hanging from the cliff. The small jacuzzi pool is an excellent idea. Kids loved it. The room had 2 big bedrooms and spacious bathrooms (one with jacuzzi!) and a small kitchen with all the needed for a quick breakfast and to make your stay comfortable before you are off for the beaches or a night at Thira. Inly 10' walk from the main city of Thira where you can enjoy more bars and night places.
Villa is in Firostefani and is perfectly located in the center of the island, on the sunset side overlooking the water in the midst the whitewashed picturesque amazingness.. There are 3 villas at Mirabo (a studio, 1br, and 2br). Only the studio doesnt have its own balcony. We stayed in the studio (cave, quaint but def big enough for 2), and for the money (we paid 165 euro/nt), you simply cannot beat this. The view feels like a millionaires. You will likely go to Oia to see the famed sunset, and then realize, the view from your cool-tub, is way better. Maybe the best view on the island. We would go out seeing the sights and beach during the day only to atv hightail home and get some beers and hop in the tub and melt away in paradise (see my photo). This is what it looks like every night, after night, after. Truly paradise. You do share this with the other 2 villas, but if you are smart (like us, ehem), and a bit lucky and have fellow guests that are out and about, you can have it all to yourself like we did, every day, even in high season. People will walk down to their villas (down 200 steps past you! into middle earth...) and literally glow with envy. Also, ask any questions to the mgr when u arrive bc they aren't really there.
Apartment was two level, two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, terrace + kitchen. AMAZING, AMAZING view on the cliff face with volcano and sunset views. Disappointed that pool was only jacuzzi BUT the use of the beach was better. Approx 10 minutes walk into Fira. Restaurants and amenities within close walk. NOT too many steps to walk down on cliff which is helpful. Highly recommend to space, outlook and location. NO reception on site.
This is a two bedroom villa. One upstairs and both bathrooms downstairs. No problem if you don't have any issues with stairs. There is a hot tub in the common area that you share with the two other villas. Forty two stairs to the road but that is very few compared with the lower villas. You are right on the caldera and enjoy a beautiful view of the side of it looking over the caldera and the other beautiful villas and blue domed churches in the distance. The main road to town is down from here and you don't hear any traffic. Many weddings beneath this villa and we saw bridal parties everyday making their way down. The spot where this villa starts is the first glimpse anyone has of the caldera so many stop and take pictures right there as you are in the hot tub. No privacy outside but still very nice. the hot tub overlooks the caldera. The unit itself is adequate, no kitchen, just a little refrigerator and an electric device to make hot water for coffee. We had our breakfast delivered each day for a cost of 9 euros each. Well worth it. The street above is a wonderful place to walk, very narrow and cobblestone but fascinating restaurants and shops all along. A nice walk to Fira as this place is in Fira Stephani. Less crowded here and less people. Be sure and stop at the Sunset Café. We didn't have a car and took the bus where we needed to go as there is a bus stop very close. Walked to the museum in Fira and bought a few groceries there. Hired a driver from Santos guides for a private tour around the island. Booked a sailboat ride from management of property.
