Don’t even think about it ! Just go to Villas Lukas. The customer service will spoil you endlessly as Greg, Elena and Hector are going to go above and beyond to make you happy. The accommodations are all sea view and sunset view (GORGEOUS). Breakfast done to perfection and by your own request as you choose what to eat. Did I mention they serve you in the balcony or inside your room as per your choice? It is an once in a lifetime experience!
Lukas villas has one of the most amazing and breathtaking view on the island! The location is excellent and is on the almost highest level of the island facing Galdera . We stayed total three nights there ,the two was at the double room (I think no 106) and the other one at the studio no 105 which is smaller and our balcony was on our roof but still it was cozy and good! The breakfast was served every morning on our balcony and was warm and tasty! Last and not least I wanted to emphasize on the kindness and the warm hospitality of Gregory and Helen. We will visit again santorini and we will attend to stay again at Lukas villas !!!!!
There are no words to describe how beautiful the scenery is on the balcony of the room we got. It was magical! From the breakfast to the wonderful staff, everything was absolutely exquisite. Greg was amazing! He was so nice and so knowledgeable and took the time to explain to us everything. He gave us detailed information on all of our questions, and told us ways to save money. One evening while we were watching the beautiful sunset from our balcony he brought us some complementary wine and fruit. I would definitely come back to this hotel just for Greg! Whatever his salary is he deserve double haha! The hotel is in Imerovigli which is about half an hour walk to Thira, and there is a path that is connected to the hotel which takes you to the Thira. Make sure you bring your camera because everywhere you look is worthy of a picture! So glad we stayed here, it was peaceful and romantic!
We stayed at Villa Lukas as a couple this past June (2018) and had an extraordinary experience. Waking up to the stunning caldera view, enjoying the complimentary breakfast on our private balcony or just enjoying the jacuzzi after a long day exploring was fantasy turned reality. Everything you envision about a Santorini vacation is fulfilled with a stay at Villa Lukas. Both Greg and Elena are gracious and helpful hosts, arranging for transportation, providing recommendations and insight to the island. As mentioned by previous posters, the mini-market across the street was very convenient and the walk to Fira was relatively easy. (Just remember that what goes down, must come back up!) The property is located in Imerovigli, which is relatively more quiet than both Oia and Fira, yet more centrally located than Oia. While we spent our evenings in Imerovigli, we spent our days exploring the rest of the island. I highly recommend Villa Lukas if you're looking for a caldera-view property with first rate amenities and a more laid-back atmosphere. I felt the overall value was excellent.
I can't say enough great things about Villa Lukas. The staff is top notch and will do anything to help their guests. They set up transportation, ATV rental, restaurant reservations and an in-room massage before we even got there. We were actually upgraded to the Suite which may have the best view on the entire island. As for location, I would recommend to anyone to stay in Imerovigli instead of Oia of Fira. The area is much less tourist-heavy and you are next to some of the best restaurants. You have the best sunset view because you are placed on the highest point of the island. You are across the street from a 24 hour ATM and little market where you can buy wine, cheese, and beer to watch the sunset from your room. A must book when staying in Santorini and we will definitely be back!
Amazing views of the Caldera, and hospitality like nothing we ever experienced! The room was upgraded for no reason and the staff could not have been more attentive. The girl who cleaned our suite was especially nice. I got ill for a couple days, and she made me something to settle my stomach. I was laying on the deck chair with a blanket on, and she even came buy and tucked me in!!! Would stay here again, in a heartbeat!
Breathtaking views, excellent service from friendly and caring staff. Beautiful walk to Thira and Oia. Studio accommodation very comfortable and the included breakfast plentiful. Very close to excellent local restaurant (Avocado) and other amenities. Would recommend!
My husband and I booked this hotel on short notice (3 days) , I quickly checked tripadvisor and read the recent reviews and was fairly confident with our choice. We booked the studio but when we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to the deluxe suite. It was stunning! The views were amazing and I was thrilled. We very much enjoyed our private terrace for sunsets, and breakfasts. The hot tub was great after all the walking we did. Everything was spotless, fresh and beautiful. Wine and fresh fruit on arrival and delicious breakfasts served on the terrace each morning . Gregory and Helene (at reception)were wonderful, friendly and had helpful suggestions. There is a small variety store just across the street for extra wine, snacks etc.... Location was perfect quiet with the most stunning views of the caldera. If you are like me and check the pics on tripadvisor, check the dates on them as there seems to have been a lot of renovations. I loved this place and would go back in a heartbeat! Do yourself a favour and stay here.
We got one of the rooms at the top of the cliff and I must say, we were blown away by the views. The views from the room and the private terrace are truly fabulous. I believe that they are probably the best views in all of Santorini, especially during sunset. The breakfast is served in the large private terrace - eating with a panoramic view of the Caldera is a heavenly experience. The private jacuzzi was also great. Sipping wine watching the sunset from the jacuzzi was one of the most memorable parts of our trip. Even the room was very large and comfortable. We were given very nice wine and some fruits as welcome gifts. The staff (especially Elena) was also very friendly and helpful. She gave us some great advice on what to see in Santorini. There is a convenience store just opposite the hotel which was useful for buying drinks or packed snacks. The only cons of the hotel are that it doesn't have a swimming pool which didn't matter to us since we were more than happy with the heated jacuzzi. Seriously, the view of the sunset from our room was better than the one at Oia (since Imerovigli in one of the highest points of Santorini). Overall, this hotel is highly recommended. We will definitely come back here on our next trip to Santorini. Tips: 1. You will probably need to hire a car or a scooter to get to different parts of the island. Scooters are preferable since they can get through the traffic faster as well as parking is a whole lot easier. 2. We ate at this restaurant called Posidonia nearby and loved the Gyro and Kebap there.
Just returned from holiday on Santorini. Absolutely blown away by the experience. Staff at Villa Lukas made the trip incredible. Even though we arrived earlier in the morning our room was waiting and ready for us to check-in. They arranged transportation to/from the hotel, assisted us w/contacting Swissport (our luggage was lost), secured a reservation for our 4-wheeler, provided breakfast each morning, and ensured we were more than comfortable throughout our stay. We realized we'd left something behind in our room when we arrived at the airport to leave Santorini; staff didn't hesitate to rush down to the airport to bring it to us. Imerovigli is a quaint, quiet village, situated ~10 minutes from Fira, and ~20 minutes to Oia. If you want the sunset views, without the high prices of Oia, want to avoid the congestion of Fira, and to be treated like family, book Villa Lukas. Rooms are comfortable, air conditioned, on the basic side, but spotlessly clean, are cleaned every day throughout your stay, and most importantly, perfectly situated with private balconies to view the sunset (I can't imagine a better view). Incredibly happy w/our overall experience. Will return.
