The room had 0 privacy. The windows shutters had to be fully closed (and no natural light would come in) otherwise all guests could look into the room. No restaurant or room service on-site, so no way to get food after 9pm. The hotel shows up with a 4-star rating but at the most, it would be a 3 star. It is definitely overpriced.

My partner and I stayed in the honeymoon suite with the private terrace/jetted pool for our last trip before moving back to North America from Europe, and we had an incredible experience. The hotel is modern, clean, with a super accommodating staff. The location is close to Oía and has an amazing view of the sunset. We would absolutely stay here again if we find our way back to Santorini.

Stayed at Aperanto with a family of 4 adults from 6-17 to 6-20. I was expecting the room to look more modern based on the pictures on their website. I was disappointed with the room itself. It doesn't look swanky and the decor is totally different. The pics on the website show green/modern decor and the room is more "cave like". The hotel grounds are nice but the room looked totally different than what was represented on the pics. The room was stuffy and never really got cold. The view was nice and the hotel staff was really nice. The hotel itself is really quiet and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. It is about a 20 minute walk to Oia. I think the hotel is overpriced for how the room actually looks. Our room was room 110.

The accommodations are amazing - and the view for sunsets unparalleled. The nearest restaurant is reasonably priced and very good. The walk into to town (Oia) is about a 20 minute walk down winding, narrow roads but VERY doable. The staff - well that is another story. I'm sure it is because of our inability to communicate well, but I do feel that the staff should know which adapter/converter should be used when shown 2 to choose from (both 2 prongs - but thick or thin prongs?) and to be willing to answer questions - I had to wait for about 15 minutes with no one in reception to ask if there were hair dryers in the rooms (yes, in a basket in the bedroom - not in the logical bathroom area) The staff did allow my belongs to stay in the reception area (not particularly safe) after check out but before my leave of the area. They were unable to tell me where to get a sim chip for my phone nor why the wifi did not work.
