What a place! Not a bad view, regardless of where you are. The staff is very accommodating and helpful for all - they helped my wife and I understand some of the better places to eat, sights to see, and in general where to go. Anastasia (Operations Manager) was so kind and helpful, as well as George (General Staff) - just an overall helpful and friendly guy. The whole staff @ Iliovasilema is full of all-stars, just Anastasia & George stuck out the most. For our first day, our room wasn't ready, and they allowed us to stay that first night in the Superior Suite, which was just breathtaking...the only one tiny thing to consider a drawback is the bathroom door is Not meant for people that are 5'9" or taller...I hit my head a few times, but I eventually learned and adapted! After the blissful first night in the Superior Suite, we were moved to our Junior Suite with Jacuzzi & Caldera view (Room 14)...the perfection continued! We can't say enough great things about this place. The views of the sunsets are picture perfect, views of the moon "setting" (if you're up that early) are just as impressive. Downtown Imerovigli is a 15-20 minute walk away, restaurants are just as close. A1 staff with awesome breakfasts... We'll definitely be back to Santorini, thanks to Iliovasilema Suites, and we look forward to staying there again!

I was searching for the perfect hotel in Santorini and was glad I booked here. The location is the best, not only it is convenient to main roads but it's quiet and private, it also has the perfect view of the skaro rock and the sunset view. the hotel rooms are all very cute and immaculately clean. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance. If we come back to Santorini, we would love to come back here.

Excellent staff excellent location with stunning views. The best place to see probably the best sunset you're ever see. The hotel only has 19 room/suites some with splash pools or hot tubs they are set cut into the cliff over a 1000feet above sea level, all are cave type like the rest of the hotels in the area. My first impression was the room seemed a bit basic however after an hour you get to appreciate that these cave rooms have all you require with all modern conveniences are nicely decorated and more than ok.Now this is not the Ritz however the staff are all first class and the setting is outstanding a good quality 4 star hotel. Breakfast is served at your room at a time you request which is a really nice touch, we used room service some days for lunch it arrived promptly and was a very good standard.Should you not want to sit on your balcony to see the sunset a small bar is located at road level which we found some evenings was nice to sit and have a drink. We cannot thank the staff enough from the manger to the cleaning staff for making our stay enjoyable.

My wife and I stayed here for six nights recently to celebrate our honeymoon. The hotel is located in a terrific spot, fairly easily accessible from the road (no long walks down the cliff as some surrounding hotels). The facility is spotless, constantly maintained by the staff. The views are absolutely breathtaking. You have gorgeous, unobstructed vantage points from everywhere in the hotel. The layout is similar to most caldura side hotels, with steep walkways and stairways, so you need to have some sense of balance. We stayed in two separate rooms (due to my booking mistake). Both rooms were phenomenal. Cave style rooms, extending into the cliff, created such a unique experience. The rooms were spotless and beautiful in design. Both had private, heated pools with fantastic views of the caldura. We spent every night relaxing and talking for hours in the pools. It was such a tremendous feature that we never dreamed would become one of our favorite memories of the trip. The sunset from the patio off our room was one of the best we witnessed from anywhere on the island (and we saw it from many perspectives). The staff is outstanding. Every staff member is very polite and accommodating. It's obvious they strive to enhance your stay in any way possible, and are completely committed to service. Of note, Anastasia is tremendous. She is the hotel manager, whom always seems to be there. She is so helpful and generous with her time and assistance, not to mention an extremely nice person in addition. All of the groundsmen are terrific as well, but one in particular, George, stands out. He seems to serve every purpose at the facility, and bends over backward to help in every way. Overall, this hotel made our "trip of a lifetime" so much better. We absolutely loved everything about Iliovasilema, and made so many memories. We recommend in Iliovasilema suites on the highest regard.

The name of the hotel translates to English as sunset, and watching epic sunsets from here is, in my opinion, better than from a sunset boats. The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is located perfectly in the middle, so if you rent any type of vehicle, you can reach either side of the island easily.

We spent our Honeymoon at Iliovasilema Hotel. Right after arriving at the hotel we were a bit disappointed as we had to share our terrace with another couple. The neighbours even had to cross our terrace when leaving their appartment. This was not what we expected. We informed the reception and the manager of the hotel reacted immediately. Within one day we could change the room and moved to a very nice superior apartment with private balcony and exceptional sea view. Just perfect!! The sunset-view from Iliovasilema Hotel is one of the greatest on the whole island. Enjoying the sunset while lying on one of the hotel sun lounges was, in our opinion, even better than the famous sunset view from the city of Oia. The pool is small but nice, the a la carte food is good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all we were very satisfied with the service. Only the breakfast could not fully convince us. At Iliovasilema Hotel the breakfast is served at your hotel room. This is great as you can enjoy your breakfast every day in privacy and with an amazing sea view. However, in our opinion, the breakfast could be a bit more diversified. After a view days we would have appriciated something new on our table ;-) Nevertheless we were very happy with our stay and can really recommend Iliovasilema Hotel.

After checking in, we were shown to our room. I was disappointed with the terrace and asked for another room. Anastasia, the manager, showed up a few minutes later and escorted us to another room which was great. Each morning the breakfast we selected was served on the terrace at the time we designated. What an awesome way to begin each morning with a full breakfast overlooking the caldera; the views are spectacular. We preferred watching the sunset from our terrace instead of going to other suggested sites on the island. The hotel is in a great location; less than a 10 minute walk to the bus stop or taking the cobblestone path along the caldera to Firo. During our stay I got sick. Anastasia realized I was not well and called our room to ask if a doctor was needed. Although she offered to contact the doctor, it was not necessary. Throughout our 4 day stay Anastasia and staff were always available to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The location and views were only surpassed by the service of the staff. We highly recommend this hotel.

Anastasia and her husband were amazing host! Our ferry from Mykonos was almost 2 hours delayed and he remained at the port until we arrived to take us to the hotel. They had our room ready and had a nice bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. The room was clean and beautiful breakfast was delivered to our room daily. Anastasia helped us with a boating excursion and the transportation. The hotel is located between Fira and Oia. I would highly recommend that you have someone from the hotel make dinner reservations for you each day. It is very difficult to get into a restaurant any where on the island (during the busy season) without a reservation. Avoid the shopping areas during the week. Crazy busy with cruise ships. Sunday is the best day to shop! No cruise ships! I would highly recommend this hotel.

From checkin to check out we couldn't fault a single thing. View, room, facilities and the staff were incredible! Anastasia was amazing and was always happy to help and give us tips on where to go. We were booked in by our travel agent on the other side of the island and weren't happy and after reading the reviews for Iliovasilema decided to book and move across. To say we were happy about our decision was an understatement and literally made our holiday (you will struggle to get a better view of the sunset and if you want the postcard pic of Santorini this is the hotel to stay). Huge thank you to Anastasia and all the staff that made our holiday so enjoyable :)) Dominic & Michelle (Australia)

We are disapointed we book a room in this hôtel. The room was not conform to the photos of the website. It was an very very old rooms with old bed and old sofa the bathroom was disgusting and old too. We paid too much for this i ask to the réception to see the room before paid but he dont want, we stay 4 hours in the réception for find a solution but nothing the only answer was if you are not happy you have to leave the room. They dont want to refund. It was horrible i absolutely not recommanded this place there is more better place in santorini.
