Overpriced and Room is not like in the pics! We reserved a honeymoon suite with hot tub, super pricey expecting the best. First, the view is great but to see the sunset is mainly doable from one of their balconies. The room didn’t make sense for been a honeymoon suite didn’t even have an inside tub. The outside tub is so small that if you are y’all or chubbie, good luck! You have to walk like a beast, so better be in shape!!! Breakfast was ok... Staff I believe the cook was the nicest. If you book thru a page that is not theirs, don’t qualify for a free wine bottle or fruit basket at check in. Not even paying their high dollar honeymoon suite! We call for a manager looking for an explanation of why the online pictures are not a reflect of their facilities and he refuse to talk to us, only the front desk that said I’m sorry... we wrote them an email about our experience never got and answer back.

My husband and I spent the second half of our honeymoon in Santorini and we stayed at Oia Mare Villas for 4 nights. We got the honeymoon suite and it was so worth it! The room was spacious and clean. We had a jacuzzi cave on the first floor and a small terrace with umbrella & chairs several steps from our bed on the same floor with a great view of the ocean and caldera. We definitely felt the VIP treatment. The staff was very friendly and informative. We used the complementary airport pickup service to and from the airport and everything ran smoothly and on time. One thing I did not realize was that the hotel is located in the depths of the cliffs, in a pedestrian-only location, so we had to climb A LOT of stairs to get to the hotel from the drop-off point. I should've read the reviews more carefully to prepare myself for those steps. The hotel offers a great view of the Caldera and ocean, and was only steps away from the Old Castle, where people gathered to watch the sunset. However, a good view of the sunset was only steps away from the hotel. The hotel also has a terrace where it's guests could come to watch the sunset also. During one of our nights, the guests below us had several people over on their balcony and was making a lot of noise past quiet hours while we were trying to sleep so my husband had to approach them and ask to keep it down. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to those who are in decent-good physical shape for those stairs!

We loved Oia Mare! Such a beautiful hotel in Oia. We would stay again. It's located in the best place in Oia. Everyone comes to that side of Oia to watch the sunsets (hundreds if not thousands of people come a couple hours early to get a spot), so if you're staying at Oia Mare, you can watch from your balacony.

The redeeming qualities of this hotel are the sunset views and the front desk staff. The rooms themselves have worn furnishings, power that shuts off intermittently and uncomfortable beds. The honeymoon suite advertised with pictures on orbitz is misleading as we found out that there are several honeymoon suites each one different than the next. Our room had several visits from ants (see pictures) and George the reservation manager was contacted who was not helpful and did not call personally to apologize or address our concerns about the room.

Unbelievable experience! It has the best view of the sunset I have ever seen.

Nice views and nice looking rooms. There is no hot water in rooms after 10 minutes.

Helpful staff, excellent service and ideal location in Oia. We had a wonderful experience of staying 3 nights in late Aug 2016. Enjoyed the balcony and timeless views. Healthy and delicious breakfast included. Will stay again if possible. Highly recommended.

Great time at Oia mare! Kudos to the porters who walk up and down with the luggage!!! Lots of steps in Santorini and they sprint up and down.

This hotel is a great pick if you are looking to enjoy a peaceful night away of the noise from the more modern area of Oia. It's a 5-7 minute walk to the Main Street in town, but be ready to climb about 100 stairs to the main restaurants and shops. The bed was a little small for my taste, but most of the beds and bathrooms are in Europe. The price was a little high for the room type but that's always the case in Oia.

There are quite a few steps to get to this hotel. 112 steps from the somewhat flat part of the Main Street. It looked like most of the hotels had a lot of steps around that side. Luckily the staff was extremely helpful with luggage to and from the hotel. The hotel is close to Oia Castle, where you see tourists perched all along the steps of Oia to watch the sunset. We were glad we stayed at Oia Mare Villas because of the amazing sunset views from the balconies and not having to be crammed in with other tourists on the steps or on top of the castle. Staff was very friendly.

I've been to a few hotels around Santorini and this is one of the top ones I've been to. The staff was more than knowledgeable on everything around the island, rooms were in top-shape and the location was unbeatable. The Oia sunset was right above our hotel and it was the spot where everyone gathered to watch it. Definitely coming back to in the future

Dear Shell , We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us .Since you are refering to me personally , i would like to inform you that there was no reason at all to apologise , as we honored your reservation to the fullest and you stayed at the room you had originally booked . I clearly stated that to Orbitz , when they contacted me . Perhaps the room was not of your liking but that was the room that you booked .Regarding the photos that you have uploaded , we do not want to comment on that ,as we understand that , because of your anger believing that we have cheated you , you would do anything to harm the Hotel and me personally, with misleading photos .We hope you give us the chance in the future to offer you a memorable stay with us at the room you will choose .Best regards .
