Nice cute place to stay in Firostefani /Santorini. Beautiful views of the sunset, walk to town, restaurants, shops, church etc. We had good clean unique rooms with a beautiful private pool. Only hassle would be if you have to carry your own luggage up and down the hill. But they sent up a porter to help us and that solved the problem we never had.
We were very happy with the location of this accomodation, amazing views of the Caldera and walking distance to shops. We caught the local bus at the top to Oia for the sunset. Included breakfast was nice and all staff were friendly & efficient. We received good suggestions for tours & local restaurants. Unfortunately a group of young travellers thought it was a party hotel (wrong island) they were dealt with swiftly and quiet was restored much to the relief of all other guests.
Ag.Gerassimos suite. Amazing view.clean room.drinks and food expensive. The room was amazing although for 520 euros it should be.We ordered the cooked breakfast in our room which arrived stone cold. The receptionist seemed more interested in arguing than dealing with the issue. She informed us the manager would be taking the cost of the breakfast out the staffs wages!!. Not how we expected it to be dealt with and little unfair. If the manager reads this I would very much like him to contact me. He wasn't on the island at the time..If you charge top money you expect polite and efficient service. I certainly would not expect the staff to tell you the food was hot when it was not. The cave bathroom looked cool but smelled of damp. There are no cooking facilities in the apartments. The music system was from the 1990s. They need to improve the customer service and the little things.
This is a great place to stay with amazing views. At first we were a little confused by the sound of water in our room until we realised the pool was above us. Claudia at reception is very helpful and happy to recommend restaurants and make bookings organise transfers tours etc and give advice. She is an absolute gem. Wifi was good rooms large enough bed was a little small being a double but that would be the only downside. It did mean more floor space so no real issue Amazing place to stay would stay there again
Stayed Agnadema for 5 night in July . Perfect location with amazing Calera views. We had a beautiful family apartment, which was clean, white and spacious for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys! The staff were lovely and Petro carries all the bags up and down those stairs like he was carrying a feather ( or he makes it look like that anyway) The location was excellent , away from the hustle of Fira but a lovely 15 min walk into town. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in Firostefani ( just at the top of the stairs from Agnadema) Went to Oia during the day but didn't bother for sunset as Oia was far too crowded and sunsets from Agnadema were unbelievable! The only suggestion I would make is for some shade in late afternoon on balcony, top apartments . Maybe an umbrella. Would definitely recommend Agnadema !
We booked an apartment here for 3 nights for a family of four. This was to be the highlight of our holiday to Greece. However after paying for the room 6 months prior and having it confirmed we arrived to find ourselves in a studio room instead of an apartment. Totally inadequate for a family of 4 with teenagers, even their webpage mentions that a studio is for 2 people. I have just been advised that we are unable to be moved for the first 2 nights, but maybe able to be moved for our last night into the room that we booked. There is no space in our room other to sleep or use the bathroom, as the temporary beds take up valuable floor space. We have not been reimbursed for the extra cost that we have paid, Apartment is 380 euro whereas the studio is 250 euro per night, even though the management say they will. The most disappointing thing is that when I first complained about the wrong room I was told that I was in the correct room. It was only after showing them the photos on their website did they admit fault. I am hoping to post another review of Agnadema in a more positive light if we are in fact put into the room that I booked and paid for which is designed for more than 2 people for our last night and refunded the money owed.
This was an amazing room, with an amazing caldera view, with amazing aminities and amazing staff! We enjoyed the sunset from the apartment terrace several evenings. The location is within walking distance to many restaurants! The staff helped us with restaurant reservations and 4-wheeler rental and general information about the island. We were traveling with 4 adults and were very comfortable in this apartment for six nights.
OMG! What a location. Views and sunsets to die for. Our room was delightful with a lovely terrace where we ate breakfast whilst enjoying a superb view of the caldera. yes there are some steps down and back up again but don't worry pedro will carry your cases for you. a small pool with 6 sun beds is perfect for cooling off again with that fantastic view. The staff couldn't do enough to help. We would definitely stay here again. Really quite reasonably priced for Santorini.
Our stay with Agnadema wasn’t good. We emailed them prior to arriving, asking if they have a washing machine. They replied that "they do not have one although they DO have washing facilities". We did not come with enough clothes and with loads of dirty ones. To our horror on our first day, there wasn't any washing facilities and they refused to compensate or do anything about it. After speaking to reception about our disappointment, they told us the laundrette is only a walk out to the main road and turn right. Little did we know, the walk to the right took us 15mins walk into town! We had to pick up ourselves the next day and simply added more stress than expected. We have no issues paying for laundry or walking this far, if the expectation was set right by the staff. There's no bar fridge snacks or drinks, there's no cafe or meals in the hotel. The only service you get is a daily room clean. Getting food was really hard. There're a lot of stairs to go up to restaurants. Thongs are definitely not recommended. In the apartment, you need to remember to turn on the water heater 20mins before each shower. If not, no hot water for you. We stayed at the top floor. The bed was located upstairs and the bathroom downstairs, which made going to the toilet difficult at night. We had to have our light turned on all night to make sure we don't fall off the stairs. The bathroom door creaks really badly and it woke us up whenever someone goes to the toilet. Making matters worse, the stairs from the jacuzzi to ground level were very slippery. I fell 10 steps down and hurt my back! Even though my husband went to get ice from reception, Agnadema didn't come check or ask about me. Other guests were very helpful in getting me back on my feet. Half an hour later, another lady fell in the same steps. We heard another person recently fell and hit her head! They ought to change the tiles or put a mat to prevent future falls. Overall, the service can be a whole lot better, especially it is such an expensive apartment. We spent 6 nights there and I must say, it was a huge let down.
We stayed at Agnadema Apartments as a family of 5 and we were very impressed with the size of our apartment. We had so much room and it really did feel like our home for our 5 night stay! We loved the fact that the apartment is built into the mountain and it really does feel like it with its arched ceilings and cool temperature. Both ladies at reception, Sia and Claudia were so professional, accomodating and very helpful in assisting us with our tours and hiring a car and all our general questions! And you can not ask for a better location. The town shops and restaurants were just a couple of minutes walk up above and the town of Fira a 15 minute breathtaking walk away. Yes there are lots of stairs and uphill/downhill walking but it's all part of staying in Santorini. We drove to Oia to watch the sunset but it was equally spectacular watching it from our very own balcony every other evening, so very lucky! The pool and pool area were lovely and sitting in the sun with that most amazing view was just like heaven. Will most definitely stay here again on our return visit. Loved every bit of our stay!
