Wonderful location for sunset, restaurant across the street offered a discount for staying at the hotel. Great hospitality and very informative on public transportation routes
I made 2 rooms reserservation but I made a mistake and didnt read the reviews on hotel for children. I had 1 under 12 year old and was not able to check in. I asked if if i could stay anyways since my kid was not old enought. The manager said she would contact her main office but since orbitz called the main office he got upset and didnt let us stay. I was going to stay anyways and get a room close to the hotel where my wife can stay with my son. But after driving by and seen how old and dirty it looked we decided to just book the 2 rooms at the other hotel. This is a horrible run business. I work in customer service and this is not how you do business.
Clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, with a better than average adjoining restaurant/bar with cheerful service in a lovely setting overlooking the caldera. The pool and architecture are integrated into a multi-level attractive complex. Both the AC and Wi-Fi, essentials for me, worked well. In fact, the Wi-Fi was a stronger signal than I had in a centrally located hotel in Heraklion. The local air-conditioned bus passes by every 1/2 hour, providing a comfortable quiet ride to the island's hub. After a day in the crowded city (the small museum is a treasure), the return to the quiet Caldera View was a welcome respite.
