Our stay at this villa in Santorini was nothing short of magical. The home is beautifully decorated with a thoughtful ocean-inspired design that brings the island right into the living space—every detail, from the art on the walls to the calming coastal palette, left nothing to the imagination. It felt elegant yet comfortable, like a private retreat by the sea. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to Fira, where shopping, dining, and nightlife are right at your fingertips. Yet, the villa still felt peaceful and secluded, offering the best of both worlds. If you’re looking for a place that combines stunning décor, convenience, and that unmistakable Santorini charm, this villa is a perfect choice.

Beautiful villa and pool, but...

We stayed at Ayama 1 night on our honeymoon. The villa itself is perfection, so clean and comfortable and the pool and outdoor space is amazing.The location is definitely off the beaten path from Thira, which is nice and what we were hoping for. The improvements we would hope for revolve around the service and the surrounding area. Arriving at the port via ferry was awful, it’s is SO busy. We arranged for a transfer (additional fee), who was no where to be found upon arrival. We walked around with all our luggage and watched the madness of people being picked up, vans/scars/scooters/taxis and tourists buzzing everywhere. It was an unpleasant start. 30 minutes later a driver showed up and took us to check in at the hotel group that owns the villa. Additional step I was not anticipating or thrilled about. We finally arrived to the villa and proceeded to enjoy its amazing pool and outdoor areas. We regretted having to leave for dinner because it was just so lovely. The second unenjoyable part was the next morning: 7:00am wake up to construction directly across the street, making it hard to enjoy a relaxing environment by the pool. Roosters and the occasional donkey are noises I want to hear, continual chipping and hammering of stone... not so much. Finally, our check out was not smooth. They are simply too busy to properly deal with customers. We paid (again) for a transfer to Oia- epic fail. The driver actually dropped us off 2 miles away w/all our luggage! Awful service.

We had a issue with a double booking on another property but George (owner) was fantastic! The property is new and every detail has been thought about. It is a walk (25 mins) into town but this suited us as wanted to be away from the crowds and wanted to relax around the pool. He was fantastic at arranging anything for us. Will be going back

Ayama Hideaway Villa is the perfect place if you want peace and quiet yet to be close to everything. It is situated in Fira centre within 30 minute driving to all corners of Santorini. The villa is immaculate and has a high-end finish with all the amenities. The villa has one bedroom with two sofa beds in the living room. The main bedroom is equipped with an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi and rainfall shower heads. The villa has two sofa beds but they are larger than an average single beds and the mattresses are heavenly! There is a second bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is well equipped; it does not have a washing machine but everything else is provided. The whole villa is air-conditioned. There are so many little touches in the villa that makes a big difference: there are beautifully built-in mosquito screens on every window, the TechnoGel pillows and the lighting of the rooms are some of the nice touches. The villa offers a private swimming pool which is yours to use day and night; the lights in and around the swimming pool will make the swimming at night a memorable experience. The villa has its own car park space. I think the car is a must have as the villa is off the main road (hence the name Hideaway villa). You will have peace and quiet from the crowd and the traffic yet within a few minute driving distance to the Fira town centre and only a minute driving time to the new main road to Oia.

Villa magnifique, très belle décoration. Bien équipée. La piscine est très agréable. Le personnel est sympathique. Simplement dommage que cela soit un peu loin du centre de Fira mais super pour des vacances détente.
