A lovely 'colonial style' hotel in a very pleasant area. We have stayed before about 4 years ago. We checked in early form the airport and as our room was not ready we went up to the spa. Lovely and quiet with surreal views of the city and mountains. Had a swim before going to our room just after lunch. We booked a club room so had access to the VIP Club Lounge where the food was very good indeed. We also had a credit for 100 dollars so had an excellent meal in the restaurant in the evening. Staff very helpful and proficient. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
I had stayed at the Ritz in Santiago a couple of years ago and loved it; hence I stayed there twice on this past trip. It did not disappoint! The rooms have all been renovated with a more modern feel. Impeccable as always. Great staff and service.
This being our first trip to Santiago (and South America), we liked the hotel's location in a very modern and business-like area of the city. It was easy to walk to nearby restaurants, cash machines etc. The older part of the city, with more of the sights, is a taxi ride away (we found it easy to get around Santiago with taxis and Uber). The hotel itself is really nice, a classic Ritz Carlton type property with what looked like a recent remodel. Our rooms were beautiful as well and very clean. We had a couple of minor hiccups. One was very noisy remodeling work on the floor above, which occurred not just during the weekday business hours but - unexpected by the staff - during the weekend as well. The staff did do a nice job getting it stopped when the work went outside designated hours. The other was that our room service order was missing some items we had ordered as well as standard items such as napkins etc. While the delivery person was very apologetic and promised to promptly return with these items, we were done with our meal by the time they rectified the situation. These were minor issues. The concierge was very helpful both before and during our stay, helping us set up a great city tour and making some good restaurant suggestions. We made good use of the Club level lounge for breakfast, snacks and water bottles. We also thought the hotel was a good value, at least in US$. We do intend to return to explore more of Chile some day, and will stay here again.
I took a from the airport to the hotel and arrived in about 25 mins with no traffic. It was late evening from an Raster Island flight. There several other guests on the same flight also at check-in, which took a little longer than usual. I Stayed in a newly renovated room on the 5th floor, very nicely done with beautiful sunset views m. I had breakfast included in the room rate. Breakfast was very good- pastries, bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, jams, tea, milk, fresh pressed juices, cheeses, lunch meats and cooked The hotel has a spa with steam room, sauna, showers two relaxations loungers, and lockers. There is also an indoor rooftop pool with bar and workout room. I had a 50 massage which was good and needed after a day of touring. entrees that change daily. Hotel is located about 1-2 mins walk to metro station. I found the metro entertaining, safe, cheap and very easy to use. It is also about 2 blocks away from a hop on hop off tour stop. In addition there are several good restaurants also within walking distance. Overall I definitely recommend!
The Ritz doesn't disappoint! We enjoyed chatting with the waitstaff, had an amazing burger for lunch, and used the driver service to and from the airport. The location is Las Condes is perfect for exploring, and is all around a wonderful neighborhood. From top to bottom, it was the type of excellent service that you'd expect from the Ritz!
Some years ago, I had a great experience with my husband in Ritz Santiago in our last vacation to Chile. Since then, we also had some other amazing experiences in Ritz Carlton hotels around the world, like in Berlin and Abu Dhabi. So, when I decided to come back to Santiago, by this time with my parents, I chose Ritz Santiago again, booking it in a Virtuoso fare, in a way we would have a better status than a regular reservation. What a BIG mistake! The hotel continuous to be nice and impressive. But the service chance completely! In the first night, when I went to my room - 1203 - after dinner, I discovered that in a 5* hotel the room had no water! No water to take a shower and no water to use anything in the bathroom. They just offered another room to take a shower and left some bottles of water to be used during the night (and if I needed to use the toiled? I would have to use some of the bottled water??). Two days later, half an hour ago, I returned to the hotel around 15:30hs., after a all day long doing a city tour. And, when I entered in my room, I discovered that today I didn’t get the cleaning room service!! That’s not a 5 Star hotel! No water in the toilet and no cleaning room, just in 3 days of staying? What can I expect to my next 2 days of stay??? The worst of it was to talk to the reception and just had to hear a simple “sorry”... a simple “sorry” after two situations unacceptable to happen in a “official” 5* hotel (for me, I’m feeling I’m in a 3* Star hotel). As I said, what A BIG mistake I did when I booked Ritz Santiago! This is not a hotel where you’re gonna feel you are in a 5* hotel (unless you don’t want to take shower or don’t want to have your room cleaned).
Having finished room refurbishment program at my favourite hotel in Santiago it was time to check the new style. And style there is - above and beyond all SERVICE. I felt so pampered when all I needed was an efficient solution, but let me start at the beginning: Arriving last Wednesday morning 11.30 am on a LatAM flight that „lost“ my suitcase. Had to wait so long at airport that interim I contacted the RItz by email asking their help in what would be an emergency by the time I reach them for having hardly sufficient time to shower, smarten up, dress and leave for a very important meeting downtown. I got an immediate answer that they would take care. I did not take the hotel car, nevertheless and despite them hosting a famous pop band, by the time I presented myself at reception, I was surrounded by 3 staff: one of them took passport and credit card and checked me in while the other two ushered me to my room (1119) and helped putting some of my stuff into the cupboard. Then they rushed off with my things for ironing and returned within 30 minutes (! Would you believe this!?) while I had showered and smartened up. Ready to leave with clothes that looked like fresh 30 minutes from check in! Guys, that is an unbelievable job had i not seen it with my own eyes, forever grateful for what you did. Rooms are spacious, very well lit and equipped - only thing missing is a nespresso machine but I was assured would be there by the time of my return in June. Refurbishment keeps Ritz style on a very high level, beautiful carpets, nice decor, but best of all their service, over breakfast and at reception, at concierge, Estela and Anja keep motivating a great team. Keep it up team and ladies, look forward to being back (without those headaches for you and me) :-)
I would like to thank the staff at the Ritz for helping us with a sim card issue for our cell phone as we were travelling around Chile for a few months. They went above and beyond registering us for a Chilean account and even walking us to this random non descript building to register my phone. The hotel itself was beautiful and we certainly enjoyed the restaurant and the executive floor longe. Thank you front end staff.
This is an excellent hotel in every respect. Spacious luxurious rooms, very quiet for a city centre, fine breakfast, helpful efficient staff and well located. It is in the business, rather than the touristy part of Santiago, but for some that is a positive. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.
My wife and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Santiago at the start of a trip through South America with Tauck. The hotel is in a nice part of the city and a short cab ride to the center. Very nice room and very quiet. Hotel staff were very helpful.
