Very nice property.

For the amount of money we paid, I was disappointed in this place. It's definitely absolutely beautiful on the outside/inside and has all the historic charm, but for being one of the most expensive lodging options, I expected more. Given limitations during COVID, you'd expect service to be outstanding on everything else that can be provided. The staff repeatedly got our breakfast order wrong. We had to repeatedly leave our room & ask for a different item that was requested on the written form but we did not receive -- EVERY DAY. We'd ask for towels and there wouldn't be any because they were all being cleaned (how do you run out of towels?), leave for 3 hours, come back and there are still no clean towels? Breakfast was paltry in terms of options and portion. Our room was on the 1st floor facing the front of the house; I could hear every footstep/convo throughout the entire house. Guests & Hosts alike would literally stand right outside of our room door at 8am while we were still sleeping and provide instructions or carry on loudly like it's nobody's business, nevermind that they were right outside our door. Every time someone flushed a toilet upstairs, my shower turned scalding hot then ice cold. Hello modern plumbing? Overall, I could've paid half the price, stayed in a basic place like Hampton Inn and probably gotten the same or better experience, so maybe I should've done that instead of shelling out $$$ for something unique.

I only had the pleasure to stay one night, and I wish I could have stayed longer. Can’t wait to go back.

Perfect location, with spacious room and amazing views. Bed was comfy, but we did find a couple of hair in our bed, a cup of old cup of fruit in our fridge. Decent selection of items for breakfast, and loved the fridge/freezer for guests. Parking was easy.

Charming old-style feel with modern amenities in the rooms and a gorgeous property in a great location.

The inn is walking distance to the Santa Cruz boardwalk, but far enough away that you dont hear all the noise. This was our second time staying there. This time we had a front room with a view of the ocean and boardwalk but the room was much smaller than last time. The portable AC unit was too loud, but we opened the window and allowed the cool ocean breeze to cool the room. The staff was wonderful as usual, and the breakfast was good. They were very accompanying and allowed us to leave our personal bike inside. All in all, another great trip.
