We waited an hour and a half after posted check-in time for our room to be "cleaned". The floor was so filthy we had to put towels beside the bed to clean off our feet before getting into it. There was evidence of a shave in the bathroom sink and the trashcan was filled with trash from the previous occupant. It honestly appeared the only thing they did was change the sheets, for which I suppose we should be grateful.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. Just walking distance to the boardwalk. Parking is tight but not bad.

Great location. I walked everywhere I needed to get to. Comfortable and a nice staff

Rude front desk clerks, extremely Filthy rooms. We had half drunk bottles of water in the mini fridge, a crumpled up “crispy” washcloth on top of our closet on a shelf. (god only knows what substance is holding it together) anyways - you get what you pay for, huh? Only stay if you absolutely have to.

It was a good place to stay, the parking was a little tricky

No coffee in room. No communication between staff. I was given a room that was still occupied. Really needs a makeover. The whole bathroom, sleeping area. These rooms should go for no more than 80.00 a night. The only positive things is that it has parking and close to everything.

Other than our door not locking properly good stay AMAZING VIEW close to everything walking.

This property is not well maintained and not very well run. There was poor communication with management - I was told to call the day before and tell them what time I was coming. When I got there, that message had never been passed along. Its a run down place that no one seems to be putting care into. There are plenty of other places you could stay in Santa Cruz. I wouldn't recommend this one.

I love this place! I have stayed here twice now and both rooms had super comfy beds, small refrigerators, microwaves, desk, and dresser. And Direct TV! Sure the hotel is older but I feel that adds to the charm and for the price, it's just awesome. I also think the management are super friendly - I highly recommend this spot! Plus - you're literally as close to the boardwalk as you can get.

Location excellent. Facility seedy and embarrassing frankly. Outwardly clean but under furniture and behind furniture dirty. Wished I'd known that it was so run down and dated (1950's).

Close to the beach, Big rooms Nd very clean Friendly stuff

The room was very tiny. Small TV Placed at a very odd place of the room. Bathroom had white paint on the tile over grout and floor moved as you walked on it. Poor maintenance of room we stayed in.

The place was very dated and "surface clean", but could be worse. The managers were awful. I was ignored for at least 10minutes when I went to check in due to a personal phone call. Not a "one moment please" or so much as a head nod. Then they don't tell you they charge an additional $100 on your card saying it's a government thing and it should be reversed in 8 business days. We shall see.... HOWEVER the walk to boardwalk was incredible! So if you don't mind being treated crappy for a dirty room that cost $250 instead of $150, it's perfect for fun and play next door!

Really close to the boardwalk, easy to find and near good foid

Hotel is located one block from the Beach and boardwalk, the rooms are a little small, Pool is currently close, no coffee in the rooms, parking is good for small cars, cleaningless of the rooms is not the best, bring your soap and shampoo as what is provided are little packages of amenities.

Check in was very easy and they even let us check in early! The room and bathroom are tiny, but we were pretty much in there just to sleep. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny and the toilet paper holder was falling apart. The shower head was quite short and I had to squat a little to get the top of my head wet (I'm 5'6"). The parking lot is very slanted so a little scary to park. Despite the negative remarks, the hotel is right behind the bowling ally so a very quick walk to the Boardwalk. We would definitely stay again for a short stay.

You simply can;t beat the location for a day at the boardwalk. The staff was very nice. Just keep in mind that this is an old beach motel. This is not a Four Seasons. The basics are covered, and what else do you really need from a small beach motel?
