We specifically stayed here because Sideways is my husband’s favorite movie. We loved Solvang which is a few miles away. We had dinner at the Hitching Post and they have these melt in your mouth steaks.

This hotel was nice and spacious. It was perfect for us because our family was staying at Flying Flags next door and we could just walk over. Every employee we encountered was nice, professional and helpful. Just wish they had a better breakfast, but we would definitely stay here again

Sideways Inn is a partially renovated motel located right next to the freeway with Hipster amenities and good customer service that try to supplement for areas lacking in quality and function. Awkward entry to get into the parking lot. Buildings are in a triangle with pool and fire pits in the center courtyard area, recommend not getting room next to freeway. Adirondack chairs on patios. Awkward room doors with large window with blinds, safety issue. Rooms renovations looked rushed or on limited budget. Overhead light and bathroom fan not working. Dedicated noise machine red flag. Heat/ac unit and free standing fridge louder than expected. Beds not comfortable. Slider looks original to the building. Gym is really nice. Did not get a chance to try the food trucks and drinking lounge. Customer service was very nice and checked in regularly.

The staff was incredible helpful and kind! I was assigned my initial room and when I entered the room i saw crumpled up tissues on the floor! I immediately went to the front desk and the apologized, gave me a different room and even and upgraded it with no hesitations! The second room was very clean. I wouldn’t mind if the place wasn’t fancy but cleanliness is a make/break for me.

Rooms clean and updated. Bathroom was updated, clean & had all needed toiletries. Property looked refreshed and decorated with string lights & fire pit with benches giving a modern vibe. Bed had a big stain on the footside. Located close to the freeway & very noisy & was challenging to fall asleep. No elevator, only stairs. Had kids and elderly in our group and getting them safe up and down lugging the luggage’s was a challenge in the rain. Breakfast was very limited to choose from and was dropped off at the door. For the price we paid and the noisy location and lack of elevators, we felt it wasn’t a good value for money.
