Okay facility but there are better options in Santa Barbara for the price.

My son, his fiancée and my husband and I just had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel for 3 days. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and quiet. A continental breakfast is offered in the am and wine and cheese in the late afternoon. Loved th lavender sachets in the pillows! The hotel is located within walking distance to the beach as well as the main retail and restaurant hub of Santa Barbara. For a change of scenery for breakfast, You can also eat st their sister hotel across the street.

The property is within walking distance of the waterfront. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. They offer a welcome bottle of champagne, an evening happy hour, cookie hour and morning breakfast, and also have bicycles available for use. A delightful property in a great location to spend time in Santa Barbara.

I highly recommend staying here. What a gem! Since my daughter goes to UCSB we have stayed in quite a few of the motels near the water and this is definitely a favorite. The rooms are nicely decorated and the staff are helpful and friendly. We really enjoy their wine and cheese in the afternoon and cookies and milk in the evening. Great location too, only a short walk to the ocean.

we were welcomed by a friendly staff member, Peter. Although we checked in past wine and cheese hour, he provided a tray of wine and cheese which was a welcomed treat after a long trip. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and surroundings quiet. Only 2 blocks from the beach...which was a perfect place for a morning run.

I couldnt have picked a better place to stay. The concierge went above be beyond expectations and the rooms were lovely. Very shabby chic! Next time I stay in Santa Barbra I'll definitely stay here again!

My family and I took the AMTRAK to Santa Barbara for a weekend getaway. We arrived at 7 pm at Lavender Inn which was only a 5-7 minute walk away from the station. Peter greeted us cheerfully and even offered to bring us some wine and cheese (a happy hour we had missed), if we wanted. He also offered to bake us a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies as they had run out of those. Peter was also incredibly understanding of our needs and upgraded my husband and I to a King suite which we really appreciated. The rooms were clean and the beds were so comfortable. We had the best nights rest. Also the complimentary champagne is a nice touch. The lavender theme, together with lavender pouches on the bed make the whole experience very relaxing. The pool was well maintained as well. Breakfast in the morning was basic, but good. There was ample amounts for all. I highly recommend staying at the Lavender Inn while in Santa Barbara.

Very nice and helpful staff. Room is very clean. Hotel is only a short walk from the beach and wharf.

The hotel was nicer than expected. The room was a suite, very quaint. The little extras, champaign, wine and cheese hour, milk and cookies at night really made us feel special. The location was great, walking distance to downtown. We would return and recommend.

Love the lavendar inn. Only place to stay while visiting Santa Barbara. Staff, location and everything about the place rates excellent.

We booked the room last minute since our dream city was already booked! My husband and I enjoyed our stay, it was a quiet, relaxing weekend. Breakfast was good, walking distance from the beach and restaurants. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stayed at the Lavender Inn. The staff was more than accomadating and so friendly. My daughter lives in Santa Barbara and just got engaged so this hotel worked out perfectly for my husband and I .

The decor was very Victorian (not my preference) but was clean for a B&B. The room was large and very nice. There was champagne included and every evening there was wine and cheese and milk an cookies before bedtime. We never got up early enough for the continental breakfast but that was also an option. The staff was really great accommodating of my last minute request for a larger room (even though there weren't very many rooms to play "Tetris" with, he still managed). I recommend this hotel. It's not downtown perse but it's a short walk to the waterfront and the shuttle is right there. The weather was still nice this late in October so we took advantage of the pool and jacuzzi. We would stay here again.

As far as motels go, it doesn't get better than this. Almost felt like a B&B with all the amenities: wine & cheesec before dinner, cookies & milk before bed, coffee & croissants for breakfast. Victorian decor isn't my favorite but it wasn't overdone. The pool and jacuzzi weren't fancy but it was nice having the option. Lastly, the staff was really nice and helpful. The location is about a block and 1/2 away from the waterfront where you can catch the shuttle for 50 cents and go either to the pier or transfer to the downtown shuffle. The location even though not on the beach is very convenient.

Sweet and cozy but mattress like granite . Breakfast pleasant enough . Usual pastries and fruit . Yogurt parfaits nice added touch. Tiny Lavendar sachets but wouldn't rate it amazing. Great location to walk to town .

The Lavender Inn was a wonderful hotel. The rooms are all unique and comfortable. The location is great - within walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants. The staff was all very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be staying here again for future trips to Santa Barbara!

Check in was a breeze. Room was clean and they give you a free bottle of chilled champagne already in the fridge! Didn't spend very much time (Santa Barbara needs to be experienced outside a hotel room) but everything went smoothly

The Lavender Inn by the Sea was a lovely place for my husband and me to stay. It's not directly on the beach, but it's not a far stroll. The outdoor pool and hot tub looked very nice, but we did not swim during our stay. There was complimentary wine in the lobby in the evening for happy hour, complimentary cookies and milk later at night, and a complimentary bottle of chilled champagne in the room! Delightful.

Bottle of champagne in fridge, bottles of water, wine and cheese in afternoon, warm cookies in evening, great breakfast. Room was perfect. Stayed 1 night on a drive from San Diego to Napa but would definitely stay for a longer period when in town again. Very helpful in recommending restaurants and sites.
