Stayed here a couple of years ago and wasn't this bad. Room was dirty. Hair on the ceiling in the bathroom. Some outlets didn't work. Asked for a refrigerator in our room and of course didn't have one. No roll away beds. And last but not least, blood on the mattress!
Pro: inexpensive, convenient to the trade show at Kalahari, clean, pleasant staff, quiet, waffles. Con: smells like every other older chain hotel - not musty, bad or offensive, just....used. Took three rooms to find an actual non-smoking room, but it was really quite clean and definitely not smoked in. Housekeeping staff helped, which is appreciated. Neutral: had to request iron and board, which makes sense - it's a vacation trip location, not a business destination. Overall I was very pleased. Desk staff was helpful, pleasant and had a great sense of humor, and housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Bearing in mind that this is a review of a two-star motel, I have to give them a great review. It's basic accommodations, but done well.
Stayed here for the night after going to Cedar Point with my girlfriend during the day. I usually don't complain about hotels/motels but this one was extraordinary bad. The bathroom door didn't shut, the TV didn't work, the Wifi didn't work, saw a couple bugs on the bed, and the room wasn't very clean. It was a very unpleasant stay. On top of that the room was fairly expensive for quality that poor.
overall good for what I have paid. But rooms are not much clean.
Room had musty odor sheets felt wet looked like blood stains on carpet near bathroom
The staff was friendly and location is close to express way...lots if restaurant..Walmart...and Harley Shop... Rooms are quiet...you do hear people When chattering outside.... No biggie.... rooms are a nice size...not cramped...and you are able to park out by your room ..No inner hallways... I like that cause we travelled with our dog. Down side... it's older.... if looking for a resort...don't stay... we choose for pool and pet accommodation.... carpet in room needs to be cleaned....light /fan in bathroom was loud..and phone in room had issues.... but the worst is the outlets in room are worn....so plugging in electronics like cell phone to charge was difficult. Would we stay again... maybe....we only slept and showered.. as we were in cedar point the whole time. P's get to breakfast early... we got there by 900 all gone...
Stayed over night for Cedar Point. No frills sleeping but the rooms have been moderately updated and well cared for. Lots of good restaurants across the street and down the road.
This hotel was the cheapest one I could find in Sandusky and it was OK....... The manager was accommodating and let us check in early but I wouldn't stay there again. The rooms smell and the parking is limited. The continental breakfast was cereal and apples.
It's a motel, however it was a good experience. I checked in a little bit early and they let me without additional charge. Front desk was helpful and courteous. Room was clean, enough towels for one person and one night. The bathroom fan was loud when activated. Overall, it's an ok place to stay around the area.
the room was a little rough but everything worked well especially the heater. It well for us during the trip it was conveint to many points of interest
The hotel was nice, clean and perfect for what we needed. We just needed a place to sleep while going to Cedar Point. It is close to Cedar Point and served its purpose well. It is now 4 or 5 star hotel but it is clean and staff is nice. Breakfast was good too.
We noticed there was light bulbs out and only two long towels for showers. We had a smoking room, and ash trays were not provided. We requested for the items at the front desk, and only towels were provided 45 minutes later. On the morning of our check out (12 pm/noon), the hotel staff was banging at our door at 0830 in the morning just to see if we were awake. We are now! NOT necessary! Woke my wife and I both up from our sleep. Unacceptable.
Room was very clean, however the amenities that were included were old and outdated. The hotel is in a great location, and for the money I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
towels even worse than most hotels, bed uncomfortable, not very many pillows, only 2 light bulbs out of 5 worked, room had a musty smell, outside steps absolutely covered in ice and snow, breakfast donuts and bagels stale, and juice tasted sour
Clean room, great location. It's very close to a Wal-Mart, Applebee's, Perkins, Taco Bell, and many other restaurants and stores. The only problem was that you could hear noise from other guests outside and in their rooms. I was woken up several times during the night by guests who did not respect the hotel's 11:00 "quiet time" rule. And every time your neighbor uses his sink or shower, you will know it!
It was just ok place to sleep by Cedar Point and being on the main street for restaurants and stores. The cleaning could be better. There was black finger prints on the tub. cob webs on the lamps, and needed a major vaccuuming. People did not respect the 11:00 PM quiet time.
It was nothing special
the rooms were very tired, and run down. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast area was locked up and there was no microwave as pictured in the website. I needed one for my special diet, the staff however did let me use their microwave in the breakroom for them.
This was the worst Motel ever. We had got a jacuzzi room and when we filled it up and turned on the jets [*] came out of the jets, it was so nasty so we went up front to tell them about it and ended up having to switch rooms, one without a jacuzzi and we had already paid for a jacuzzi room. The second day we left and came back late they hadnt even cleaned our room, they had just left towels in the room. We got the motel because of the pool and when got up there it wasn't even open they didnt have water in it and was like 90 degrees all weekend.
The staff were nice enough, and told me they would try to get me an Orbitz refund for some of the cost due to my extreme displeasure with the rooms. The rooms were disgustingly dirty, smelly, the tubs did not drain and one room the tub had visible clumps of dirt (I suppose) in it.
