Disappointing to spend€82 for a serving of mushrooms , roast cod and arugula. The second stater was seafood cream soup. It was so salty that I left most of it. The amount of seafood fit in a tablespoon . The tapas were super . So go stand up with the locals and raise a glass exploring their tapas. Their desserts were fine. A hot chocolate pudding cake came with orange sorbet. The French toast was caramelized with overtones of cinnamon and coffee . They overcharged us for the bread and made no effort to address the challenges with the soup .

We were there on our honeymoon - fantastic destination in the middle of everything. We loved HMC -- 1st class all the way. Great place to come home to after all the food you will be eating in old town and the Michelin starred restaurants around San Sebastian. 5 stars - can't say enough good things

My favourite place to sit and watch the city go by. The hotel is immaculate, the food is exquisite, wine selection the best I have come across in Spain, the rooms are what you would expect from a hotel of this calibre and the staff are friendly and caring. We celebrated our wedding here and it was utterly perfect save for our favours and irreplaceable items smaller items (speeches, photos, whatever was left on tables) being discarded by staff at the end of the night - over a year on and we are still devastated by this! Aside from this, every visit we have had here has been nothing short of incredible. Stop by for a cocktail at the bar and soak up some of the atmosphere at the very least.

This is a very expensive hotel, but it's worth the price. The rooms are spacious, the baths are elegant and quite functional, and the breakfast buffet is amazing. Most of all, the hotel is located on the edge of the old town part of San Sebastian, with its many pintxos bars, shops, etc. One can self park in the same (underground) municipal garage that the hotel uses, or pay an extra 9 Euros/day for valet parking.

Stayed at a river view suite and was blown away. It's a wonderful hotel which really exudes class and luxury. Everything about the hotel is luxurious from the bathroom to the room ceiling. Service is top notch, staff go out of their way to make your stay truly memorable. Never slept better with two double twin beds and gorgeous bedding. Wish this vacation would never end.

We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel. At checkin we were given one of the few rooms that was not great in terms of the view. The room itself however was beautifully appointed, immaculately clean and met every demand of my wife who requires double sinks and a walk in shower. Everything else about the hotel was perfect from the desk staff to the beautiful room breakfast is served in. I would have given 4 stars because of the initial room but every effort was made to make our stay perfect. I was even contacted by the manager on several occasion which showed me the hotel really cares.

This is my favorite spot to stay in San Sebastian, and thanks to SPG points, I've been twice! The location can't be beat, but the service and deep knowledge of the staff is what makes such a difference. Upon arrival, ask for the concierge's favorite list of pinxto bars... take a cooking class... explore the speciality food store... or go visit the incredible Alex at the dazzlingly sexy bar. Another fun thing: reserve the bikes and ride the length of the beach!

The hotel is gorgeous and close to the old town.We were upgraded to a suite and I can honestly say it's the best suite we have stayed at anywhere and we stayed at many luxurious places around the world.

The hotel is beautifully decorated with high quality fixtures and amenities. The staff are well trained and helpful. We engaged a wonderful guide Eskerne Falcon who helped us enjoy the city of San Sebastian.

We spent 5 nights here as a 100 Night Platinum member on points. Upon arrival, my SPG Ambassador was kind enough to send over a nice bottle of champagne. We flew into Bilbao Airport and took the D050B to San Sebastian. You can buy tickets from a machine (credit only) or from the driver (cash only). The bus leaves every hour on the 45 minute. The journey takes 1 hour and 15 minutes with 1 stop along the way. The cost was 17 Euros. Once you arrive at the Bus Station, the hotel is less than a 10 minute walk. We were in Room 320 which faced a plaza with a small view of the water. We had a French Balcony which didn't allow you to step outside but we still had a view of the Kursaal which was quite nice. The location was really good. We were able to take the bus from the main square for the Funicular to Monte Igueldo and Arzak Restaurant. It was also close to the Old Town and Gros for Pintxos. One day we rented a car from the Sixt Office which was a 5 minute walk to drive to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. We really enjoyed walking around and the location was perfect. Breakfast was included in our stay but it wasn't very special. It was normal buffet items but there were multiple types of ham. The eggs were kept out for too long. However, you can only order an omelette at the egg station but a few times we ate breakfast early, no one was there. For a Luxury Collection hotel, I think they could do better with the breakfast. WIFI was included and we had no complaints. Housekeeping was twice a day with turn down service. They were really efficient and when we returned, our room was always made. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay again when visiting San Sebastian.
