We took our 23 year old son up to stay a few nights over Thanksgiving. Had a great time. Hotel was very nice and so was the staff.

This is a nice looking and feeling hotel. Has some very nice views of the ocean from the bluffs. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable rooms and beds, and views from the room. These hotels don't have easy or good access to the beach, you have to go to the pier area in town to get to the accessible part of the beach. So don't expect to just walk to the beach from the hotel. they do have a pool and hot tub at this property, as well as a spa and restaurant. Go in to get a complementary coffee if you choose. Although they do have in room coffee makers, its just an option to get a already made coffee. I for some reason thought I booked a 2 queen room, and realized I had booked a king bed, well to my pleasant surprise the room had a sofa pull out that worked out very well. Its a nice hotel with comfortable beds, and very well maintained. I would stay here again, and will be a great option for future trips to this area.

I loved my stay at the Cliffs. Will continue to view room rates so I can come back. Peaceful !!! Great staff and wonderful Restaurant across the way. Would love to work at such a beautiful note.

Great location and staff. Only complaint was the noise from the vent. It would not shut off. Very clean rooms.

The view was beautiful and just a short walk to the beach.

Wonderful resort beach setting. Friendly staff, great amenities and in close proximity to a fantastic town, San Luis Obispo!

The Hotel is nice. The good: It is a quiet room, bed was very very comfy. The Not so good: No room service breakfast during the week (Only on the weekend), The room you get thru this site is tiny tiny. I wish there were options to get a nicer room. Over all it was a great place.

I needed a place to get away from the world. You know stress can be a monster so after a convention I decided to drive north and grab a room here for a little mini personal vacation you know a bottle of wine HBO and lots of sleep. This place was amazing the air was fresh the views were breathtaking and the Sana / pool were fantastic as well. The attached restraint was amazing the wine selection was epic to say the least. And the staff with the exception of the valet was also great. ( he liked my music so he decided to go through my cd changer to see what it was and then did not have the curtsey to put it back.) But besides that it was steps away from the beach and the rooms were quiet and close enough to catch the breeze from the ocean. If I am ever up that way again I will defiantly be staying there again.

Great place to stay with a good restaurant to eat in after a hard day of traveling on a road trip.

Partial view of ocean and very comfortable beds!! Enjoyed our stay!

The hotel is very comfortable and all reasonable things are included (internet, valet service, cold bottled water etc). Breakfast on the deck was grand. The staff are superb, ready to help with anything you need. Highly recommended.

Everything was excellent. Note: The hotel has a $15 per day "facility charge" not included in the payment, but was identified as having to be paid separately. This type of flat rate charge should be included in the per day cost of the room. Self parking was limited, but valet parking was available at no cost. Otherwise the everything was superb.

The hotel's ocean cliff views were breath taking! The pool was fun and relaxing. The bed was cozy. The staff was very nice, accomodating, and made our stay even better. The morning buffet was so tasty too. Great great great! Loved it!!

Good Location - Great Pool - Restaraunt not very accomodating

Location is incredible with stunning views of central coast.

Had a very nice time. The staff was excellent. Great food at the restaurant. And great view.

Check-in:Our reservations was lost but we pulled it up on our phone just as they found it, took a bit of time, they had to scramble to find a room. Once a manager got involved she was great and took care of everything. Room: The room was beautiful and they sent a bottle of very nice wine to make up for the check in issue, with nice glasses and an ice bucket. Partial ocean view was great, overlooking pool and restaurant but you still see about half ocean. Bed: Sheets were very crispy, we prefer soft sheets. Pillows were so full/high that they were almost impossible to sleep on, we should have called the desk but did not get a good nights sleep. Restaurant: The eggs and coffee were good, potatoes WAY too salty, waiter was rushed and not very cordial. View was great. Pool: It is not locked to the outside world so we got the feeling it was a neighborhood hang out, no staff there in the morning, we had to track down towels in the hotel. Jacuzzi was not hot enough and lots of kids in it. Lobby: Really pretty, nice atmosphere, fireplace, comfortable furniture, areas to hang out and chat, nice store, responsive bell staff. Staff: Hit or miss. Upon check out we were charged for a restaurant meal we did not have, took a long time to correct (they comped our water which was nice) and then we were asked to pay a facility fee, finally figured out it was on the confirmation receipt but at the time they were not able to explain it other than "that's why we don't recommend using outside websites, they have hidden fees". I was totally ok paying the fee and it wasn't hidden but they should know what it is and not discourage people from using their partners. Overall: They made some mistakes and tried to compensate for them and they need to lock the pool and do some staff training to earn the 4 star rating but it is a gorgeous location and the rooms and lobby are beautiful. Until then, find a cheeper room with same view and visit the restaurant and pool.

Everything was nice with exception of dinner taking almost 2 hours and some strange rules on breakfast vs brunch. With dinner the kitchen was overwhelmed by a wedding (which you'd think they'd have done this before) and it took 90 minutes just to get some salads and cheese plates (the manager was kind enough to give us dessert). If you want breakfast on sunday's you need to go before 10AM. Otherwise they want to push you into the $29 brunch with unlimited mimosas - which if you have are pregnant or have a long drive -- doesn't really align with your day. If you show up before 10AM you basically can get the brunch for $14 without the booze, but they wont' sell you that after 10AM. The accommodations were nice!

The hotel is very nice the first night we stayed in a partial ocean view king room. The room was very nice we had a balcony and a flat screen ordinary bathroom. The second night we stayed in an oceanfront king WOW now I'm impressed. The sliding doors open huge to such a beautiful view of the ocean, big balcony, a deep jacuzzi tub the room seemed double the size of the night before. Needless to say we were very happy in that room. It is $100. more expensive though so that hurts, but I have no regrets. I'd would recommend to friends and family.

The staff at this hotel is open, friendly, available. Always a pleasant greeting. Enjoyed the great views at The Cliffs, even from our partial ocean view room. The elevated pool and fireplace are great, best of all the surrounding resorts, hotels, etc. Great easy access to Avila and Pismo beaches. Dolphins, seals, and sea lions! Did not enjoy the steep climb back up from the beach at the hotel nor LAX airport. Wonderful trip. Thanks
