I lived in Puerto Rico for eight years during the 80s, and I try to get down as often as possible. This was a 70th birthday present to myself, I wanted to be near the beach in San Juan, see friends & family, show my travel buddy around the island.I know the building is older so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised. 24/7 security guard, locked gates, unit is on the 13th floor & faces the ocean, & while we had an obstructed view because of the building behind it, you can still see the beach & the ocean. Extremely quiet! Very clean, plenty of towels, comfy beds (two queens) and a futon sofa, (that we never used) Nice rain shower in the bathroom. The backpack beach chairs to take to the beach, literally a block away, were great. There’s also a pool, but the ocean and white sand was divine. Laundry room on the ground floor. Stocked kitchenette, everything you need if you want to cook, but there are plenty of restaurants, drugstores, etc. within walking distance. Exactly seven minutes from the airport, and parking in an enclosed lot is included. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to come down and stay again!

Host had great communication. The location is perfect, we did get a car but you would not have to for this location. Plenty of restaurants around, and beach is literally 30 seconds on the same street. We never felt unsafe at any hour. I do speak Spanish (PR dialect) and it definitely comes in handy if you are going into less touristy areas (we traveled around a bit since we are comfortable with it). If you are not used to the culture, yes, it can be very loud at night with parties/music, but we are used to it where we live as well, in the mainland US. I just brought a travel sound machine to cancel out the noise, no big deal for us, but again - we are very accustom to the Puerto Rican culture and are respectful and appreciative of it. We will definitely be back for quick couples getaways or girls weekends with my friends!

We had an amazing time staying here, it is steps away from the beautiful beach, restaurants, and a 24 hour convenience store. The room was spacious and clean for 3 of us with a view of the ocean.

Clean studio, decent location.

The studio was clean and in a good location for walking to the beach, shops and restaurants. The little kitchen was an added bonus. My only complaint would be the futon was not vert comfortable to sit on so I can't imagine trying to sleep on it.

The unit was comfortable and nice. It is a block from the beach. After dark some of the areas are sketchy. There is no hot tub as noted in the amenities. 1/2 of the restaurants close down at 6 pm so make sure you eat before then, but beware my friend hole family ended up with food poisoning. On another note room was the best part of the stay with the exception of no hot tub.
