The RUI Hotel in San Francisco was immaculate and welcoming. Rosalyn T. at the front desk treated us like VIPs and made our stay feel special. Loved the breakfast spread (bagels, pancakes, eggs, proteins, cereals, coffee/tea) and the cozy gas fireplaces throughout, even by the pool. The bar was great with two big TVs for games/PPV, plus a side market with late-night snacks, all kinds of drinks including sodas, desserts, coffee (6–10pm), and essentials you may have forgotten. Rooms had blackout curtains and comfortable beds, but the noise from above was rough — every footstep carried through the ceiling. A sound machine in rooms would solve this. Overall, a clean, relaxing hotel with great staff and amenities — just aim for a top-floor room if you’re a light sleeper.

Hotel staff at check was seamless. The bell service was great. Minus the lady working at the market, she gave unsolicited sarcastic comment questioning if we were staying at the hotel or not over a simple question about water. Hotel gave us an extra water bottle for the inconvenience based on that staff member who was being rude. Also This hotel does not have water filling stations. So we had to outside of the hotel to buy water. The walls are thin so you can hear a lot of the neighbors. Room was very humid but was spacious and clean! This hotel is decent.

Good clean breakfast, courtesy always entire staff. What I didn’t appreciate was the last minute resort charges a week before I arrived when they said nothing when I made my reservation months prior to arrival. They let you know upfront about parking charges per day but nothing about resort charges till a week before I went.

The rooms were large and clean. The bathrooms were small, and I had to turn sideways to close the door in the toilet/shower room which was inconvenient and uncomfortable. The ac unit sounded like a truck when it was cooling. The air was stuffy throughout the hotel. The hallways were shabby and the carpet was lifting in areas. The food at breakfast was plentiful but it was overcrowded and uncomfortable. The staff were very friendly.

Overall ok stay but unimpressed. I wanted to reheat a simple meal and eat the hotel wanted to change me $20 for it. Absurd. Hotel was a little old and dated. My room had no privacy and was very noisy.

Staff was very helpful. The suite we were in was a good size. But the building is obviously old and the bathroom is wonky. Also the walls are thin & our neighbors had a party and they had no concept that someone nearby might want to sleep
